Look! I Got Long Hair!

I was invited by my SIL to go to Hair Asia at the World Trade Center. Of course I was excited, and I bet you know by now why. For those ones who does not have a clue, I am a salon artist in my past life probably. It would be a chance for me to see beauty/salon products.

Anyway I have been sporting short hair since June of last year. In my opinion, my hair grows long really fast but not fast enough for me to curl it. I actually tried but it was quite hard. When I saw this human hair clip on extension, I became excited. But I didn’t buy it right away since I have this habit of buying on impulse. I sat for a few moments (away from the stall) arguing at the back of my mind whether to get it or not. It was actually my SIL’s prodding that made me buy it. She asked the hair technician to try it on me and from there I decided that I want it. I will curl it tomorrow since the family does not want or should I say not used to seeing me with long straight hair.

I Wanna Do Zumba

I’ve been watching a lot of Zumba vid on youtube. Actually I want to order a DVD, all four from beginner to advance. But I’m having second thoughts, I’m the lazy type and I’m good only on the first few days. Eventually those DVDs would collect dusts, just like what happened to my belly dancing DVDs. Oh well, I’m learning my lesson the hard way.

When I went to my aerobics class yesterday, I asked our instructor if he knows how to do Zumba. Luckily he does. I didn’t expect that he’d include it in the class yesterday. I only asked if he knew. I feel a little sad because two of the students “walked out”. I don’t think they liked the idea of doing Zumba instead of the regular step aerobics. I don’t know but it felt weird when they went home. I had to tell the instructor that he has to ask the people in the counter first if he can include it. I am really hoping that we’d do Zumba even for 30 minutes. Aerobics class is 2 hours for me.

I don’t really go out of the house and mingle with the neighbors. I used to do that a lot when I was single. We lived in a subdivision where there were a lot of activities going on. I had fun growing up there. Anyway going back to our neighbors now, they think that I would be giving baby announcements anytime soon. Funny because they talked to the hubs. Apparently the news is I’m preggers. How did they come up with this? They think I am just because I am FAT, yeah FAT…in my face! I just laugh it off, not affected at all. I even find the news funny and I am LMAO right now.

Now that my lil man is 14, he’s into a lot of things already. Seems like it was only yesterday when he was content to just playing with his gameboy. Now he’s into different kinds of stuff and is very particular about brands and stuff now. I have to start saving more because he’s into electronics pretty much too. He knows what he wants and I am just amazed. He reads product reviews by himself and would tell me, Mom this is what I need. I read that…and he starts talking like some geek or something. He’s totally grown up, a certified (lil) man!

Gustong gusto namin ni Ish na nakakakita ng something green. Actually sya ang nag-aya samin na pumunta dyan sa Eco Park one fine Sunday. Malapit yan sa bahay ng aking Ina kaya hindi kami nagdalawang isip na pumunta. At least di na talaga sasadyain. Kapag nasa gitna ako ng “paraiso” nakakaramdam ako ng katahimikan. Talagang ina-appreciate ko ang kalikasan. Minsan kasi we take it for granted na. Hindi na tayo marunong mag-appreciate ng nature. Buti nalang kahit papano, nabibitbit ko pa ang mga anak ko sa mga ganitong klaseng lakad.

Around late last year I was asked by a friend to look for a gold bracelet for her. I was a bit shocked to find that price of gold per gram has gone up again. To my knowledge there was never a time that the prices have gone down. It’s either it stays but not for a very long time or it increases. Gold is really a very good investment. Now this has given me the idea on how to invest the extra money that were going to have. It’s wiser to just buy gold coins than put your money somewhere else. Oh dear this reminds me of the investment that we placed in a bank that earned us very little amount. I was really disappointed big time that I nearly cried when I found out that the interest it earned was not even 10 percent of what I had in mind. We should be wiser next time.

No More Bad Hair Days

Let me ask you, where do you go when you want to change Hairstyles? Are you like me? Whenever I want to have a new look, I immediately go online and surf for hairstyles. I am one person who can really go very short or very long. Medium length would always be the awkward length for me. Whenever I’m in that stage, I would always go and look for the Latest Hairstyles so that I will know how to fix it and not end up having short hair again. I have a never ending love affair with my hair. Sometimes I feel that I own the most abused hair, what with all the heating and styling. But it’s a good thing that we now have different treatments for abused hair. Sometimes I would look for these particular Hair Styles that do not allow me to put styling products nor use a blow dryer or a curling iron. On bad hair days, you would also find me using the internet in search for something that will make my hair look gorgeous, a quick fix I must say. Most of the time it really works. As much as possible I don’t want to be seen in my bad hair day mode. Who would anyway? It’s just normal I guess considering that our hair is our crowning glory.

Aanhin ang mga knitting needles na yan kung hindi mahusay ang nagmamay-ari nyan (ahem). Oo may tinatago akong husay sa pag knit kasi sa youtube lang naman ako natuto at ito ay hit and miss. Tutorials here and there ang drama ko kapat di ko alam gawin ang mga stitches. Hanggang ngayon naman ganun pa rin ang drama ko. Sana pagdating ng panahon, lalo akong huhusay, yung tipong di ko na kelangan panoorin ang mga vids para magawa ko ang certain stitch na required. Haha may tagong husay nga naman ba? Eh bakit nangangailangan ng kodigo?

Spring Flowers

Ever since I remember, it has been my dream to have a little garden when I build my own house. Sadly that dream didn’t come to reality, but you can never tell. I don’t think that will happen anytime soon since we don’t really have enough space to put up a garden. It can probably happen when we build our “retirement” home. This time I’ll see to it that I will have a beautiful garden filled with all these flowers. I can imagine how I will go gaga when all these flowers are in bloom. You very well know that flowers are my favorite subject when it comes to photography. I don’t think I will ever get tired of taking photos of flowers. I remember doing that every Sunday over at my Mom’s house when she used to have all these beautiful flowers. My sister used to send her seeds, seeds that she thinks will grow here. True enough it did and it just made my Mom’s garden beautiful.

Now going back to having a beautiful garden, once in a while we talk about wanting to retire in a much cooler place. We just want a smaller house this time, in a bigger lot. I want to have a flower garden and a vegetable garden. I want to have a big lawn where the dogs can run, and the grandchildren can play. Haha I am funny, I talk like I’m going to have grandchildren anytime soon. Naaaahhh, my eldest is just 16, too early to be a Mom. Ha, I guess I have to stop talking now, my imagination has gone wild.

I wonder if this friend of mine is already updated when it comes to the insurance business. She has always been noted as a top broker for how many years already. I don’t know if her secret to staying on top is insurance advertising. There is nothing wrong with this, in fact if I was in the insurance business, I too will dwell on that. If it’s a better way to improve on the sales then why not. Today we should think of ways and means on how to go about our businesses. The competition out there is tough so thinking of a better idea is not bad after all.

That’s what I had for snacks this afternoon while the other had a bowl of fruit salad. Yeah I am bitter, because I try hard to lose some unwanted pounds. For the first time I checked the number of calories of what I ate, and it said 85. I was like oh no! I spent 1 hour using wii fit and burned something like 208 calories, and a cup of oranges is already 85? From now on I will stop counting. I will just enjoy my fitness routine and I wish I can say enjoy my food too, but nah thank you!

I promised not to hurt myself anymore. Yeah you learn your lesson the hard way. You can’t blame me, I was just super excited to get my stuff. I am talking about some shopping. It’s normally being delivered in a box. And what do you know, knife comes in. I should have ordered this box cutter together with the stuff I asked someone to buy for me. Darn! How barbaric, opening a box with a kitchen knife. It’s like eeewww. Oh never mind, next time around those knives won’t be anywhere near the box.

Ha! Sure I haven’t stopped playing FB games, but there’s just like 3 games compared to 6 or 7 I used to play. I don’t know but I can’t let go of the 3 remaining games that I love to play. It’s a stress buster for me. I feel relaxed and happy playing those games, but my life does not depend on it if you care to know It’s the creative juice I am after. It makes me happy seeing my cafe so pretty, my farm so organized, and my pet so cute in her new outfit. I admit it takes so much of my time so I am learning to just put a few hours on it, and not on a 24/7 basis.

I Need a Diet That Works

People are getting conscious of their health nowadays and I am one of them. I know I have really abused my health by not eating the right food, not exercising at all and worst smoking. But I am glad to report to you that I had progress with with the 3 already. I am now aware of the right foods to eat, but I still search for diets that work because I am on the heavy side now. It’s actually my first to go over 110 lbs. I do my exercise 3x a week and soon it’s going to be everyday because I already bought my Wii Fit Plus for days that I don’t go to my aerobics class. I’ve been smoke free for more than a year already and praise God that I was able to do all these.

My father was sick for a very long time. I remember he had his first major stroke the year I was married. I really cried a lot because it was just too painful for me to bear. I was pregnant with my first child at that time and they would ask me not to cry too much. Part of Dad being sick is his need for incontinence products. It was really needed. I think he used it for something like 4 years. Mom really took good care of him. It was then I realized and wished that once day I will be like Mom and her dedication to my Dad.

That was what she asked for when she came home from her 4 day retreat. Apparently she was starved and needed her comfort food. Funny how she was sending me SMS that she misses my cooking already and she does not like what was served to them since day one. So as requested, we went straight to Mall of Asia after we fetched her from school, and yes we gave her what she asked for. It was a great bonding moment for the family.
