Not many of us know about cystic fibrosis disease. Is this really a common disease? Do we know how to go about it in case one of our family members is inflicted? Sad that my answer to it is a no. But now that I know a few things about it, I’m quite confident that my little knowledge will go a long way. It is actually a genetic disorder of the secretory glands. Known cystic fibrosis symptoms include excess mucus production, coughing, shortness of breath. In other words, it affects the function of the lungs. CF which is short for cystic fibrosis can damage the lungs. Not many people know this, that’s probably the reason why many people do not pay much attention to CF.
Did you know that probably one of the reasons why you have poor growth and poor weight gain despite the fact that you have a normal appetite might be due to CF? Did you know that this can cause infertility too? It’s hard for me to explain everything, but I think you have to do some reading so you will get first hand information. I am just scare that I am not explaining it right, if you know what I mean. But at least I am giving you an idea, in case you still don’t know about it. And yes there is a cystic fibrosis lung treatment. It’s not the end of the world for those people suffering with CF.

It’s an Imarflex hand mixer, yeah I am excited about this latest purchase. Probably because part of the money I bought that with came from my allowance as a scholar. I’m happy that I was able to buy it, with that I can be more creative with my baking and i can let my family taste my chocolate mousse. I can’t do whipped cream manually.

What do we really know about mesothelioma? Honestly, I only came to know about it just recently, for like a year or two. I’m not really familiar with it since I don’t know anyone who has been stricken with this kind of cancer. As to what I read, the known cause for this type of cancer is exposure to asbestos. It’s actually a rare type of cancer but we never know when it strikes. There are times that by the time we discover it, it’s already too late. This is the reason why I have been reading about a lot of things lately. I want to be prepared or should I say I want to know how to go about it so that by the time it strikes, I know of some preventive measures already.

Do you still remember the time when you first got a bunch of fresh flowers from someone you like? I do, and I felt like I was in heaven so to speak. I can’t explain how happy I felt at that time, it was actually a mixed feeling of excitement, joy, and most of all I felt very important. What magic flowers can bring if I may say. I guess most of us want to receive flowers in every occassion there is. I admit, I still get that same mixed feeling whenever somebody hands me flowers. Haha, just between you and me, I go for long stem roses in any color, but it has got to be of the same. I don’t know, but a long stem rose to me is just romantic. There’s a special something that I can’t explain when I see long stem roses. I often associate it with undying love and courtship. This is just me, and this is just what I think. Since we are already talking about flowers and all, have you seen the floral arrangements done by martha stewart? OMigoodness, it’s just awesome. I would love to have that arrangement anytime! It’s so beautiful and you won’t get tired looking at it. The color combination and the flower combination is unbelievable! That lady is truly talented!

I have decided of late that I don’t want to indulge in the fitness activity I am currently into. I think I just want to do it at home with the help of this fitness equipment. I have heard a lot of success stories from people who has been doing it at home and I am truly inspired. If they can do it, then I can too. I have started it actually like a couple of weeks ago already, though not a regular thing right now because of issues I am involved in, but hopefully I will be able to come back.

They say…”the eye is the window to your soul”. I totally agree! I have something to add to that too. Sometimes the eye is the window to age. Our eyes just give our age away. That is why every time I wake up in the morning, the first thing I look at in the mirror is my eye. I squint so I would know the extent of fine lines I’ve got. Sad, yeah I’m sad because I’m starting to have them, and yes it is very visible, aside from the dark circles I get when I lack sleep. Funny how I expect not to get them at all. Fountain of youth…I wish I had it, but does anyone have it? I don’t think so, but we can do something about it. It would help delay the signs of aging, that is if we do something about it. Now how do we go about it? Let’s face it, we just have to use certain products. Agree or not? I’m looking into this eye wrinkle cream that I will be needing anytime soon. I have accepted the fact that sooner or later I’ll be needing the help of an eye wrinkle cream. I just need it especially that I am fond of putting on makeup. I want it to be flawless as much as possible. But more than that I don’t want to look my age. I believe that these creams help in firming the skin surrounding the eye area, thus no more fine lines or should I say lessen fine lines. Yeah that’s more like it, creams can help improve. Now if you think that this happens overnight, think about it. Nothing really happens overnight. It takes regular application if you want the product to work. Once you start using it, it should be done religiously. I think most product works that way so eye creams are no exception.

Ayokong mabansagang “Jill of all trade, master of none.”
*I dont wanna be branded as a Jill of all trade, master of none. But sometimes it just points to that. I’ve started quite a few projects but can’t seem to finish it. It wasn’t a choice, and I don’t like it either because I’m thinking of the money spent on these projects. I sometimes blame the time I spend on the internet especially on Facebook. Geez, you will always find me there. Now the question is, will my entry for next week’s theme connected with the photo you see above? What do you think?*

Saturday was spent at Ate Marie’s house to celebrate the 50th birthday of Kuya Rey. It was nice to see familiar faces and the fellowship was really awesome. The food was very good too especially the home cooked kare-kare. We wanted to take some home, but we were ashamed to ask. Anyways, I sent Cuz sms asking if can cook us even just the bagoong only, hehe, pede na din kare-kare. Anyways, here’s wishing Kuya Rey the best of health and more wonderful blessings to come.

*Note: di ako mahilig magsuot ng blusa o polo, I’m a tee person.*

Saturday was the last day of school for the kids. After their final exams, Ish and her friends decided to watch movie at Greenhills. I was their chaperone. Nope I did not watch with them but instead I sent Cuz Marie sms telling her that I will be in Greenhills until late afternoon. She was at Makati at that time, but she went all the way to Greenhills to see me. We haven’t seen each other for quite sometime, I think the last one was after Christmas. She treated me at Teriyaki Boy and we went shopping afterwards. I bought that beaded necklace, the one that you see in the photo at P100. It was originally priced at P250. Haha I am still the queen of haggling.

Yes I am down with a flu, I am not a superwoman after all. I think I got stressed out to the max with the wedding preparations and a lot in between, excitement included. I think it’s my own doing too. Instead of taking a rest after the wedding on Saturday, you know what I did? I watched a movie on Sunday, and on Monday too.
Staying in bed is boring…staying in bed while plurking is fun! That’s what I did the whole of yesterday and today. I took naps in between don’t worry, or did I? I really need to get well coz I want to watch the Divas 4 Divas concert tomorrow, I have my ticket already. So should I go offline now? I don’t think so, like I’ve said, plurking is fun, and I got an early Christmas present from the Sheriff, I need to move my butt and start working.

Wahoo finally I was able to buy the portable stove and the griller. I don’t like to use this griller anymore because it takes years to cook the food, LOL. Really, I am not kidding. Anyways we had pork bulgogi last night. I bought some romaine lettuce which wasn’t really that fresh anymore to go with the bulgogi. I spread a little chili paste (which you can buy at any korean grocery) on the lettuce then wrapped the meat. It’s yummy. You can also use hoisin sauce if you don’t like it spicy. Josh was our cook that night and he’s gonna be our cook tomorrow over at my in-laws because we are going to have korean fest. I’ll make hotpot for FIL who really loved it the first time I sent some to them. Looking forward to tomorrow, I know it’s gonna be fun!

Let us play a little game, ok? If you are given a chance to live in another planet, what would you bring with you? If I was to live in another planet, I’d bring my game consoles namely PSP, and Nintendo DS. You see on my spare time or if I’m already bored with the things I do like it’s becoming a chore already, I play Tekken 5 on my PSP. I enjoy it a lot and this kind of entertainment relaxes me. I can also watch a movie with it, so definitely I’d bring it with me. I don’t know if I can survive without it. Same with the Nintendo DS. I play Cooking Mama 2, haha like I am not contented with real life cooking that I needed to play the game. Oh well, it’s fun playing that game. Oh the reason why I want to play all the time is to see if my reflex is still ok. I admit it’s slowing down little by little, but I can still beat a 12 year old boy, LOL. Ok what else? Hmmm, I don’t think I can live without my cell phone, so I’m bringing it with me too. It’s one way of keeping in touch. I’m bringing with me a CD player too, together with my belly dancing CD. I need to exercise to keep myself fit and the only exercise I don’t get bored with is dancing. Am I allowed to bring my laptop? I hope so. If there isn’t an existing internet connection (but I wish there is), then Photoshop would do. I’d do a little artwork of my new surroundings probably. Now if there is internet connection, then I’d continue with blogging. It’s gonna be an interesting daily post of new beginnings. But before doing all that, I will participate in Operation Immortality: Leave your mark. Save Humanity. What about you? Do you already have anything in mind to help save Humanity. Are you sure that before you leave earth, you have already left a mark? Oh what I am talking about is the new internet game called Tabula Rasa. Your suggestions to save humanity will be recorded in the International Space Station come October. I already have a sneak peak of the game Tabula Rasa and it’s kinda exciting. It’s a totally new concept to me so I’m sure I would be eager to start playing and learn about the game. Oh you can sign up and start playing too…it’s free!

My family once owned a Wrangler Jeep. There was a time that it was an “in” thing to own a wrangler jeep here. It was the first vehicle I was allowed to drive on my own. How cool is that? There were not many Wrangler Jeeps at that time and I would notice that whenever I was cruising the streets, I would turn a lot of heads. Err, I mean the jeep I was driving. My Dad wanted to sell it after a few years thinking that we will not be able to find jeep parts. But when the shop we were going to assured us that there were available Wrangler Parts, my father changed his mind. I enjoyed driving it a few years more until my Uncle wanted to buy it. He said that it fitted him more since he lived in the mountain side. My Dad agreed to sell it, and until this day my Uncle still uses it.
Now I noticed that most jeeps driven in this country are Grand Cherokees. It looks good too. And the nice thing about it, spare parts are readily available. This is really very important, so that when the vehicle breaks down, you can have it repaired right away. If you are a jeep owner, maybe this website can help you find the parts you have been looking for. They are selling quality jeep parts for over 10 years now at discount prices. They sell accessories too.

I think I need a Keylogger, not for anything else but just to monitor what my kids are doing in this machine while I am away. Not that I don’t trust them, but sometimes they just have the wrong judgments. At their age, they can be gullible and can therefore be swayed easily. I just want to make sure that they go to websites appropriate for their age. I can’t be there to watch them 24/7. I am just thinking of my child’s safety online and by installing this software, I will be able to tell my child’s habits online. From there I will be able to lecture them on the sites they visit therefore harm can be avoided. There’s another feature of this software that I like too. It’s tiring to hit the save button every now and then. I do a lot of writing, and sometimes I get frustrated when something goes wrong. But with keylogger I am able to regain what I wrote. I find this very helpful. There are actually a lot more benefits when keylogger is installed. Even the activities of your employees can be monitored. Not that you actually want to spy with what they are doing. But we all know that working hours should be dedicated to working for the company and not for some other personal things.

Until now hubby is still in search for a very good web designer. He wants to ressurrect his old website but with a different domain name. A lot of people are asking if he has a website, and I think it’s about time to bring back to life his defunct webby. Choosing a web designer is really crucial. I wish to find something like what arizona web design has to offer. I am not to sure though if they’ll accept us since we’re not located in the US. They are based in Arizona. I but think they would, since it is now very convenient to communicate via emails and all. I am really impressed with their clients’ list. They must really be good. I also love the professional look of the websites they design. Take a look at the cool before and after gallery of the websites they made. You can totally see the difference. And I know you will agree with me that their design is way better. That’s how I want hubby’s website to look like, vibrant and full of colors. I want some custom graphics too, plus a little streaming flash and java applications. I need not worry about having visitors since they will make sure that the web site is designed with arizona seo. They’d be putting key word phrases to bring the web site to the top 10 rankings. Now this is what I am looking for. With a website designed by one of the best, it sure will attract more and more clients, and that means a more flourishing business.

Toys make our children happy. It’s like they can never have enough. I remember when my kids were still small, when you ask them where they want to go, they will always answer in unison, “We want to go to the toy store.” I actually let them grab toys of their choice. My little girl would pick a barbie doll and my boy would pick a robot. Then I would be picking two science toys for them or any educational toys for that matter. I’m glad that they find educational toys appealing too. I remember playing with them and they will always bombard me with questions, well simple ones though and I would answer them right away. This has helped them a lot especially when they started school. I’ve used those toys to explain some facts to them and they would easily understand. It’s different when you explain to them visually as I’ve noticed that they would be able to pick up easily. They find it interesting too and would not get bored learning. Learning should always be fun since kids have very low attention span. We as parents should find ways on how to teach our kids at home. There are a lot of educational toys we can give our kids and this sure will help them understand things simpler. My kids do not run out of educational toys. They have an aunt who’s fond of giving them educational toys in particular. She would gift them with science kits and we always enjoy playing with them. I too learn from it. It’s a nice way to refresh whatever I’ve learned from school many many years ago.

Wahoo I was able to talk with my sister Rachel who is based in Philadelphia. I didn’t call her or my other sister for quite sometime coz I forgot I had skype. Haha, call it aging or something. But today we had fun, we laughed a lot talking about anything under the sun. I should be calling them more since it’s very affordable using skype. It could have been free, but she does not have internet connection, so I had to call her on her celly. But still, it’s very cheap. I talked with her for almost an hour, and when I checked my balance something like $2 was only deducted to my skype-out account. Isn’t that great? Hhhmmm, I should be calling my sisters and my friends who are in the US more.
