Travel: Visit the Middle East

Posted by girlie on June 17, 2008

I never realized that there’s so much of Middle East regions and territories I want to visit. First in my list would be Israel. This is a very interesting place that dates back to the time of Jesus. I want to go and see everything I only read in the bible. The history of Middle East dates back to ancient times and each place has significant stories to tell. It would be a great opportunity to be stepping on soil that dates back to ancient times, the most important chapter in world history. It would be a great experience which I hope to be able to have one day. Middle East travel will be very rich in experience. When my daughter hears about this, there’s one thing she will say. “Mom, if ever can I come with you?” This daughter of mine loves ancient history. Sometimes when I hear her talk to her father about history, I am like “What are they talking about?” I don’t know much about history to begin with, but I am interested. It will sink in better I guess if you get the visit the place too. What a nice excuse to travel, but hey I know you would agree with me that it’s part of learning about world history. It’s like sealing what you’ve only read in books.

By the way, if visiting Middle East is part of your vacation plans, arabiatravelmarket.co.uk is the website to go to. They have a quick and easy comparison of flights, accommodation and attractions in the Middle East. It would be easier for you to pick the best deals.

Hot Cruise Deals

Posted by girlie on June 1, 2008

If given the chance, I would definitely go for cruises. Sad that I will be alone though, alone in the sense that my family wouldn’t go with me. For sure I will be cruising with either my relatives or some friends. Maybe with the experience I will have in that cruise, I can convince my family that after all joining the cruise is not really scary. It’s gonna be a wonderful experience. I’ve heard so much about cruises from my relatives, and honestly I am green with envy. The farthest I can go is check online for cruise schedules and of course the price. I go to cruisecheap.com.

Accomodations in Paris

Posted by girlie on April 4, 2008

I found a very good site which can help you book your stay whenever you plan to go to Paris, France. If you want a more personalized service, then Paris bed and breakfast is for you. Personally, I want to stay in place having a homey atmosphere. It’s not as grand as staying in hotel chains in terms of the size of the building, but what I’m after is a more personalized service. But not two people are the same. Some would want to stay at Paris Hotels and there’s no problem with that. I was just talking about my preferences. Well anyway, if you have plans of going, you might as well go to the website and check out this Hotel Paris, you might want to stay there.

Dream Cruise

Posted by girlie on March 29, 2008

When we had our cousins’ day, one of the topics we discussed was going on a cruise. I couldn’t contribute any since I haven’t been on a cruise yet. But based on the stories I heard from them, going on a cruise is really awesome. They have tried going on a Carribean cruise, Asian Cruise and this time they want to board the Alaska luxury cruise ships. They also mentioned that the best time to go to Alaska is on a summer. So when I got home that night, I read a little about the Alaskan cruise. Based on the pictures I saw, there’s just one thing that came across my mind. I have to convince N to take the cruise, or any cruise for that matter for a start. You see, N is not quite comfortable taking the ship, and that’s the reason why we haven’t been to any cruise. I hope this time I can convince him. I will have to bookmark cruiselocators.com for easy reference since they have an extensive list of world-wide cruise vacations you can take.

Mexico: A Great Travel Destination

Posted by girlie on March 26, 2008

I was bloghopping one time and I came across this blog who had a lot to tell about the grand vacation she had in Mexico. She was raving about how nice the beaches are and that there are a million fun things to do while in Mexico. This got me interested and started reading more on Mexico. I am a beach freak myself and it has been my dream to visit all the wonderful beaches, especially the ones featured in Discovery Travel and Living. While reading about Mexico, Riviera Maya caught my attention, 200 kilometers long of white sandy beach. It is also considered as one of the best beaches in the world. My oh my, I wish I can visit that one day. No wonder Mexico Vacations is really so much fun and people can’t stop raving about it. The hotels, beach resorts, restaurants and cafes, and the shops are all affordable and within budget, so nothing can stop you from having a great vacation.

Summer Rules!

Posted by girlie on March 24, 2008

Most of us look forward to summer. It’s the season to have fun under the sun. I’ve always looked forward to spending my summertime in the beach. If only it’s not that hard to fly to America and spend the rest of the summer in one of these Outer Banks rentals, we would do so. It would be a great opportunity to bond with the family. I’ve been looking at the pictures of these rental homes and it makes me want to pack my things and head over straight to the place. Maybe, just maybe, in two years we would be able to do that. Gosh I am soooo looking forward to it now.

I’d Love to Visit NYC Again!

Posted by girlie on February 19, 2008

I can’t get enough of New York City. I know there’s a lot more to see there. My friend has brought us to some wonderful places there, but time was of the essence. Much as we wanted to see more, we were limited to a few places. But really we appreciate the fact that she was able to show us around. Maybe the next time we visit New York, we would be able to visit all the major NYC Attractions. I will see to it that we do. I will allot maybe 3 days of our stay there visiting the attractions that we’ve miss. There’s this Super New York tour that is being offered at citysightsny.com. I think I’ll take that offer. It includes a tour of downtown New York. I’d love to see Time Square, Madison Square Garden, Empire State Building, Chinatown, Ground Zero to name a few. I’ve actually been to those places, but I’d love to see it again. Oh there’s one thing we’ve missed, and that is the chance to visit Museums. Good thing this is included in the tour. A night tour is also exciting. We’ll have a chance to see the breathtaking views of the Manhattan’s skyline. A Harbour Cruise will be exciting too. This will be our chance to see the Statue of Liberty up close. And of course climb up the Empire State Building’s Observation Deck where we can see the spectacular 360-degree view of the Big Apple. See why I can’t get enough of New York City. It’s the most beautiful city I’ve seen so far.

I Like to Visit Canada

Posted by girlie on February 16, 2008

I have been asked time and again what’s the next country I want to visit. My answer would always be Canada. From all the pictures I see in the web, I think Canada is a beautiful country. There’s so much to see and enjoy. I wish I can bring my family any time soon. The hubs wants us to go places as a family. That’s the reason why he does not quite allow me to travel with friends and relatives. I just hope that by the time we have the chance to visit Canada, this offer of free stay for kids under 17 is still up. For those ones who are planning for a Spring Break Getaway, aside from the free stay for kids under 17, kids 6 years old and below get to eat for free provided they pick from the children’s menu. This is a super deal…it’s not everyday that you get this kind of deal. If only it’s not as hard to go to Canada, I mean the visa requirements and all, I can suggest going to Canada after Josh’s graduation. This would be a wonderful graduation gift to him.  And it’s the perfect bonding moment for the whole family.  I should bookmark the website, so I won’t have a hard time looking for it when the time comes.

Vegas is a Must

Posted by girlie on January 26, 2008

I’ve been to Vegas and it was truly an experience I will never forget. We just stayed for two nights and it was never enough. I wanted to see more, but due to lack of time I was not able to do that. Vegas is really a beautiful place, even my kids loved it. This is one of the places that they still remember until now. The shows, the lights, everything about Vegas is just awesome. I suggest that whenever you visit the United States, do make it a point to visit Las Vegas. You can always go online and look for a Vegas hotel. That’s what we did when we visited.

Come With Us BF!

Posted by girlie on January 24, 2008

My husband would really be happy to find out that there are pet friendly hotels. You see we are dog lovers, and we treat our dogs like they are one of us. They are part of my family. When our dog Diego knows that we are bringing him with us, there is a non-stop wagging of tail. He gets excited and leaps automatically when we open the door of our vehicle. Or sometimes he would just jump inside the kennel ready to travel with us. It’s nice to know that there are hotels who take our pets into consideration. They know how attached a person can get with their pets and they wouldn’t want to leave them behind when on vacation. Just like us human, it’s also a good therapy for our pets to once in a while go out of the confines of our homes. We should let them enjoy the new environment too. Well I can really say this, because as I’ve said, we treat our dogs like family members. They deserve it being a man’s best friend.

For those animal lovers who reside in the United States, you can check out officialpethotels.com to find out if the area you are going to have pet friendly hotels. They have the complete listing, and you better find out which hotel welcomes your BF. By visiting the website, you will also find tips for travelling with pets. Get yourselves acquainted with the website first, and find out everything you ought to know to avoid delays and for a hassle-free travel.

Is Oregon Beautiful?

Posted by girlie on January 14, 2008

Looking at this Oregon Vacation Rental property, I couldn’t help but dream of going back to the beach. I don’t know, but ever since I can remember, I really love the ocean. When we were younger, my parents would bring me and my other siblings to the beach. We would just play around in the sand, trying to build sand castles. So from then on, I have pictured myself living near the ocean. This has not happened with the kind of life I live now, but the dream remains. I want my children to experience what I have experienced when I was younger.  Those are all beautiful memories, something to look back to when I’m old and grey.  I want my kids to have that kind of memory too, but for now it’s quite sad that everything that they remember is the hustle and bustle of city life.  So that’s why I was thinking, it would be nice to own a vacation property near the beach.  But since this is not happening as of yet, maybe we should start saving for it.  This would also make a great bonding for the whole family. If only we have lots of money to spend, it would be great to bring the whole family for a dream vacation. Seeing how beautiful the Oregon Coast is in pictures, I’m starting to dream again. Who wouldn’t want to be in all the beautiful places that we see.

Snowmobile At Its Best!

Posted by girlie on January 9, 2008

I’ve pretty much talked about how I want to experience snow. Really! Even if I’ve been hearing stories about how people are not enjoying the winter season, I still want to experience it. It’s like I’m obsessed with snow. I think everyone coming from a tropical country feel the same way too, well except for the obsession part, lol. And speaking of obsession, it’s gone to the highest level, especially now that I have come across this snowmobile vacations over the internet. It features the number one snowmobile country. Seeing the pictures and all, I want to experience the fun. This is some kind of experience one will never forget. It would just be great for me to first experience snow this way. I’ve seen the snowmobile trail maps, and it’s really something. It’s like they put the best trails for everyone to have fun and excitement. Imagine this, 1,400 miles of snowmobile trails, where you can see the most beautiful scenic spot. Isn’t that exciting? I’ve also read that most people who have experienced it come back year after year. Geez, my obsession grows to the highest level now. I must suggest snowmobile packages. Any one interested?  I hope N is into this thing too so I will not have a hard time convincing him.  Oh I know, I have to let the children know, lol.  Their dad cannot say no to them.  See how obsession lets you think?

I Want to Visit the Queen!

Posted by girlie on December 8, 2007

Wow! Upon reading what could be done when I visit Europe this Christmas season, I want to pack my luggage right away and visit the place. First i haven’t experienced what winter is like. And the best way to experience winter is visit London! Celebrate the festive season by experiencing London’s largest free winter event. The Bankside Frost Fair is really cool where one can experience sled rides, listen to Christmas carols sang by choirs and bands. And there’s so much more. What’s nice about it is everything is a walking distance away from Hotels in London. These hotels are strategically located that everything is convenient to whatever you fancy.

Manchester is not to be missed too. Gone are the days being an industrial city as it is now considered as one of the coolest in Britain. Start your day by visiting their art museums and educated yourselves of the past. They also say that shopping is superb in this place because you don’t need to travel a great distance, in fact you can walk from one store to another. Hotels in Manchester is never a problem as it is seen everywhere. You can always find an affordable one and you will even be surprised to find out that it’s actually dirt cheap. It’s really a matter of going finding the best deal that will suit your accommodation needs.

How about Birmingham? If you want to experience a city that is vibrant day and night, then Birmingham it is. It is a city where yesterday and today are combined. Hmmm, this is quite interesting. You can experience past and present here. Hey look! The Hotels in Birmingham are not expensive either. You can find a hotel for 35 GBP! Arrrgh, how I wish I can indeed pack my bags and leave right now! Any sponsors? Nah just kidding!

I Want to Experience Paradise

Posted by girlie on December 4, 2007

If I am given the opportunity of spend a month long getaway, I would go for a hawaiian vacation. I’ve heard so much about Kauai and I think that’s where I want to go to. I’d like to see the beautiful scenery while hiking the Napali Coast and just enjoy the panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean. And while walking down the coastline, i’ll be able to snap a picture of the awesome cliffs towering into the sky, the waterfalls in between the valleys would be a sight to behold. There’s so much views to see in the Napali Coast, and if you are not into hiking and stuff, there are boat tours and kayaking trips and even helicopter tours, so you won’t miss the amazing scenery.

Poipu Beach would also be a wonderful experience. This is considered as one of America’s best beaches. Large green sea turtles swimming in the waters of Poipu is something new for me, and also seeing the endangered Hawaiian Monk Seals sunbathing in the shore. I know you will agree with me that this is a one of a kind vacation experience. Snorkelling is also one thing I want to experience. I have not done that yet, and I want to do it at some point in my life. I think that would be one experience I will cherish for the rest of my life.  The possibilities are endless while in Hawaii.  A month long wouldn’t be enough really to explore the whole place.  How I wish this dream will come true, I’m actually ready to go.

Travel Guide

Posted by girlie on November 26, 2007

I think I mentioned before that I usually go to a travel guide website to fix our itinerary before traveling to a different country. I want it all laid out, so that we will not be wasting our time trying to figure where to go first. And it had been a success. Planning a trip before hand saves a lot of time, and it allows you to go see more places and just enjoy. It helps that the travel guide website advices come from real people, people who has been in that place. They can give you a beautiful insight of the place, places which you need to visit, places you have to avoid going to.

Learn from people’s experiences reading their travel reviews, discover new places, save with travel deals and share your experiences too, all these you get when you go to this travel guide.

He Wants to Go to Rome

Posted by girlie on November 21, 2007

Lately my husband has been discussing with his parents his desire to visit Rome. He was probably encouraged by the beautiful stories he hears about Rome from his good friend, a priest.   He was actually invited by this friend of his when he goes to Rome early next year.  This friend promised to give him a tour of the Vatican.  Knowing my husband who is very much into history, he’d grab every opportunity to visit this place.  And he was even mentioning of visiting places like Italy, Venice and Milan.  He wants to see the places he only reads about or seen on television, like Cathedral of Milan, Leonardo da Vinci Museum, and Castello Sforzesco in Milan. He’s also interested to see The Colosseum, the Vatican, and Trevi Fountain in Rome. He says while in Venice, he wants to visit Piazza San Marco and St. Mark’s Basilica and maybe take the Gondola Ride. Who wouldn’t want to see all these places. How I wish I can go with him, but if not, I’ll just enjoy the photographs he’ll take. Meanwhile, if plans push through, I need to find hotels in Italyhotels in Rome, hotels in Venice  and  hotels in Milan where he could stay. I’ve already seen the rates, and it’s pretty affordable.

I Want to Take a Cruise

Posted by girlie on November 20, 2007

I’ve wanted to take a cruise for a long time already, but how? My hubby is sea sick, and the kids are scared to board a ship. So tell me! Maybe if I can show them these carnival cruises, they will change their mind. I hope I will be able to convince them that it would be fun and exciting taking this carnival cruise. It going to be a lifetime experience one will never forget. It’s like staying in a 5-star hotel, with all the grand amenities this cruise ship offers. Carnival Cruise Line is the most popular cruise line in the world. They boast of a wide variety of on-board activities like shows, sports, and different programs for the whole family. The dining experience is totally superb offering superb dishes. I wish we could board this cruise ship anytime soon!

Visit Sea World

Posted by girlie on November 4, 2007

Hey did you know that when you buy one-day Sea World Tickets you get the second day free? This is a limited time offer, so if I were you better buy it now. There are a lot of benefits when you buy your tickets ahead of time. It saves you the time from the long lines of people wanting to purchase a ticket. Not only that, when you buy tickets online, you get to save because tickets sold over the internet are way cheaper. It’s really discounted, my sister-in-law has tried doing that, so I can really vouch for it. Visiting Sea World would be a great experience for the whole family. It’s a great way to bond. I recommend you watch the Shamu Show, we enjoyed every bit of it when we went 2 years ago. Until now my kids never stop talking about Shamu.

Last Minute Holidays

Posted by girlie on October 30, 2007

I was talking with my sister-in-law over the phone the other night and she mentioned that she wanted to have R&R somewhere, somewhere because she does not actually know where she wants to go. She just feels like going away, and it is very timely since it’s a long weekend. I even laughed at her for not planning, but well it’s her spur of the moment. She says that she can still enjoy even if nothing is planned, as long as she can think of a perfect destination. Come to think of it, yes it can be true. There are times that we have unexpected vacations or unexpected free time, and this is the best time to getaway. It is especially true to her because she works and works and does not have the time to go on a vacation. Well now I can share with her this website I found that offers Last Minute Holidays. I browsed through the website and I found the places they offer really exciting. It’s a great way to spend a much needed break. And the good news, even if everything is last minute, you still get good deals. Normally when it is not planned, and you just want to get away right at that moment, travel agencies take advantage of it. They offer you holidays at high prices because they feel like you have no other choice. But in this website, whether it is planned or last minute decisions, they still offer deals you cannot resist. So whenever you want last minute holidays, you already know which site to go to.
