Am I? Really? Oh that’s what my cousin Marie thinks of me. As she puts it… “a dedicated wife to N, mother to Patricia and Joshua, a great cook, multi-talented homebuddy but one who still finds time for her friends, a great loving and generous friend to me.”
Being a wife and Mom combined is kinda hard. The demands are just great that as much as possible we want to do it all. I really salute women who do not have helpers and yet they can seem to get by and even have time for themselves. I salute stay-at-home Moms, they are the real wondah woman that sometimes I can’t imagine how they can manage things and all. My blood boils whenever stay-at-home Moms are belittled. I am a stay-at-home Mom and someone commented that “my intelligence” was put to waste and guess how I answered him… “i married a rich guy.” teehee!…haha serves him right! Hope he realizes that the best job (for a woman) one could have is being a Mother.

Household Chores Meme

My most hated household chores are:
1. Washing the Dishes - I hate the fact that everyone else is back in their rooms doing something else, and here I am dealing with a pile of plates, if you know what I mean.
2. Sweeping the floor/Dusting - I had asthma growing up, so encounters with dusts always left me wheezing.
3. Mopping the floor - I don’t think I can ever do that. It’s the most tiring household chore. Watching my helpers do it makes me tired, how much more if I was the one doing it.
4. Laundry - only because we handwash our clothes. I’m glad somebody takes care of it.

This is nice Cuz, thanks for including me in this tag.
To answer the questions, my shoe size is a 6 now. I say now because before I gave birth to my 2 kids, I was a 5. They say that giving birth to kids increases your shoe size by half. I wonder if this is true or is it just coincidence? Anyways, Mom’s size is 4.5, 2 sisters with a 6.5 and one sister with a 5. In case you want to know, my daughter’s size is 6.5. I normally buy a 6.5 so she can borrow, or so that both of us can use it. I feel comfortable with a 6.5 anyway.

I truly believe that friends are one of the nicest blessings. I may have a few friends, but I’ve had them since the time I first came to know them. I know I can always run and count of them in times of happiness and sadness. I am truly blessed for having such good friends.

How long have you been blogging? I started this blog in July 2004. Used to be called funkymomma, but due to unavoidable circumstances (some nosey people), I changed the url to what it is now. And still they found me ^_^.
What inspired you to write a blog, and who are your mentors? It was one of my college bestfriends (Y) who encouraged me to blog. And yeah she was my mentor. She was really a big help in explaining the concept of blogging, down to html codes and all. Eventually I learned on my own by buying books on html codes, did a major tweaking which kept me awake til the wee hours.
What are the 3 things that you love about being online?
I am able to connect with friends.
I am able to share my thoughts to my loved ones and friends.
I make moolah by going online.
What are the three things that you struggle with in the online-world?
I’ve developed back pains sitting it out in front of the laptop.
Poor eyesight.
Sometimes poor internet connection (no dial-up here) which is a bit frustrating.

Hey Kri, this is no longer my comfort food since it has been on my desk every night. Eversince I made my own picante sauce, I can never stop eating them. I remember going to the grocery to buy this whenever I feel down and useless. Not only does it uplift my spirit, but makes my tummy bulge too. I wish I can stop eating them, but stopping means not sitting it out in front of the laptop doing my part time job. Arrrggghhh! So yes I can say that I can think more with Tostitos.

That is our Christmas Tree. We’ve actually put up that same old tree for 4 consecutive years already, and same goes with the ornaments. I have thought of getting another tree, maybe a little slimmer than that but more “bushy” as I hate to see spaces. I think they can do better than that and can make a perfect looking tree since it’s fake. Hopefully by next year, I can earn more moolah doing sponsored posts so I can buy the tree that I really want plus more ornaments, maybe for a silver and blue theme this time. This is a very interesting tag passed on to me by the Mother of QQ. She wants to know whether I still use a cane to discipline my teenagers.
I remember spanking my kids when they were still young. It’s either using the slippers, a belt or my bare hand. It was mostly my hand that I used though. Nope, I didn’t have second thoughts of using the “rod” especially if they don’t obey orders and rules in the house. Of course I will have to talk to them first and warn them, and if they ignore me, that’s the time I “hit” them. But now that they’ve blossomed into teenagers, it’s pretty hard. All I do is talk to them and if I get frustrated, I shout/scream! After which I ground them for a day, depending on what they did wrong. When my son does something wrong, I keep all his “toys” (laptop, gamecube, ps, ps1, ps2, psp, nintendo wii, nintendo ds and gameboy). As for my daughter I think I will confiscate her cellphone and iPod. In other words, I will take away their “life”.

I’d like to thank Kitty for this taggie. Hey Kit, our wallets have similar material ^_^ and it looks quite the same though.
I remember buying this wallet during my trip to Singapore in 2004 and I’ve been using it since then, well almost. I do change wallets every now and then, but this seems to be longest I’ve been using. There’s not much I put inside, since I have a separate card holder. And I don’t think I get to hold it everytime I go out, since I put my money (pesos) in the pockets of my bag. I dunno but it’s sort of a security blanket or anything. I just feel right when it’s in my bag ^_^. What’s inside?

I started joining the bandwagon in May signing up with just one company. In July I started going full blast signing up with almost all the companies offering sponsored writing. The reason behind why I joined is because I wanted to earn on my own keep. I just miss having my own moolah, you see I resigned from my job in 1995, a decision I made without really thinking. Not that I regret it, in fact I’m ok with it. It has given me time to take care of the needs of the family.
Now that I earning my own keep, I don’t need to burden my husband into buying me my whims. I can take care of it ^_^. But would you believe the moolah I earned from doing sponsored posts is still intact? I have not thought of anything to buy yet. But I am reserving it for a planned trip to Beijing and Shanghai come March (hubby hasn’t given his go signal yet if I can join my cousins on this trip). Well if not, there is a Gucci sling bag waiting for me at the display window. Maybe I’ll get this as a christmas present for myself.
