It’s Dead…Goodbye!

Just what I need! I think everyone knows by now that my laptop died on me a couple of weeks back. I already brought it to the service center and was asked to pay for a very unreasonable price. I’d rather buy a new one that have the motherboard replaced. I know you would agree with me if I’d just pick from these netbooks. Deciding on having the old one repaired is just crazy. The cost of the replacement of the motherboard is like buying a new one more or less. Nope I have not made a decision yet, the decicion would depend on the budget that I have, one I can afford.

This is very timely, thank you! Everyone is this household is addicted to chats, almost going online on yahoo messenger 24/7. We all know that these profile sites are often the target and it’s just scary. This is what we really need right now, MyspaceShield. Having this software installed in your computer lets you monitor all activities once you login to MySpace, it monitors chat conversations from AOL, MSN and Yahoo too. This will be a great help since we do not really have time to monitor all the internet activities of our children. I won’t mind spending $19.95 if it means less worries whenever my kids go online. This will put a stop to frauds normally happening online. With this software installed, internet users will be doubly aware and will have second thoughts of giving out personal information. Installation is very easy, there is no configuration needed, it automatically starts within minutes of downloading.

I Didn’t See it Coming

I was doing some work in my laptop when suddenly the screen went blank *gasp*!  Really, I didn’t expect such thing to happen coz it’s like 3 months old?  I kept receiving a warning from Norton that I had to renew my subscription with them.  It’s no longer a 1 year subscription that normally goes with every purchase of a computer, mine was 3 months, arrrggghhh!  I thought of switching to McAfee’s VirusScan Plus, which I used in Joshua’s laptop.  So I uninstalled Norton so it won’t post a conflict with McAfee.  Yes, I was able to put McAfee, but when I restarted my laptop, all I see is a message, blah blah blah *gasp*!  I was dumbfounded!  I was angry!  I was frustrated!  Not at this time, when I needed things to be done like do my assignments, make a new banner, read more about WordPress, etc.  I couldn’t think much as I was in shock!  Good thing my husband was right beside me when it happened, he instructed me how to do things the right way,  golly what do I know about computers anyway…I just know how to blog and earn moolah ^_^

Saturday night was spent doing recovery and installing softwares until the wee hours.  But eventually I gave up, I needed to sleep coz we were attending the Sunday Worship.  Thank God everything is ok now (i  hope).  Lappy is up and running, so is this blog!
