This is what I actually need, but just didn’t have enough time to take care of it. And I really thought that it would cost me that much, so it added to the delay of installing blinds for my French door. Little did I know that there is a website that offers cheap blinds. But don’t think that just because the price is cheap, it does not have good quality. These are quality blinds. In fact they have a lot of satisfied customers, and the list is still growing.
There is an ongoing sale of 25 percent. I will email my sister ASAP to let her know, as she mentioned in one of our conversations that she needs new blinds for her living room. She’d be happy to know that shipping is free and that it has a lifetime warranty.

This is an example of a Hinkley lighting. It looks beautiful right? I’d love to have that in my living room some day. If you remember I am so fond of swirls, and when I saw this chandelier, I immediately fell in love with it. I also love the antique finish, it’s very elegant. And I also love it more because of its sale price. Yes they are having a great sale, so you better check out the items and take advantage of the discounted prices.

When we were still in the planning stage of building our house, my husband has already thought of having a home theater. Listening to his big dream, I was convinced that indeed we needed a home theater. If you ask me, yes the room is there, but we just didn’t have the budget to go on with it. Like right now, it was converted into a storage room =( But I’m not losing hope at all, I know one day this dream of ours will materialize. For now, I will just have to collect ideas on how to make it into the best home theater. Thank goodness I came across this site that sells home theater accessories like home theater carpet, seating, furniture and a lot more. What I love about this website is that they give you information on how to go about setting up your own home theater.

I’ve always admired designs that could be created out of wrought iron. It’s fancy! I like how the iron is twisted to create a beautiful ornamental design. Take for example this curtain rods, it would really create a beautiful effect in our homes. I particularly like these two, the Pine Cone rod, and the Moose & Pine Tree rod which can be used during the holidays to go with the Christmas atmosphere we have at our homes. Having these kind of rods at home is low maintenance compared to the usual brass we have. I use to have a brass rod at home and it needs to be wiped every now and then to maintain its color. I even caught my helper frown when I asked her to clean it. And why not, she has to put down the heavy curtains in order to clean it. Maybe it’s a heavy task for her. But with wrought iron rods, you won’t be seeing frowning faces ^_^. Aside from being low maintenance, it’s ornamental designs are really appealing. It’s going to add more beauty to our homes.
I almost forgot, I have something to share with you. Wroughtironhaven.com has a secret WROUGHT IRON GARDEN GATE backdoor that lets people get great discounts. Here’s how to get there. Halfway down the homepage, you will see a comma in the line that says “Our store has over 1,300 home and garden items for you to choose from!” All you need to do is click the comma, and you will be brought to the page where you will find a surprise waiting for you.

I can just laugh at myself now for attempting to do a DIY Roman Shades. Gosh it’s harder than I figured, but at least I tried. Nope I was not successful in doing it, my husband was even laughing at me and telling me “why are you giving yourself a headache when you can just buy or have it made?”
I’m envious whenever I visit a house with roman shades hanging in their windows. I’ve been telling myself, I want that in my house too. I really want to have this Select Stripes Roman Shades, isn’t it a beauty? It will match my victorian inspired living room furniture. Go ahead and take a look at all the Roman Shades they have, they’re on sale you know.

Oh yeah, this is what we lack in our house. Why on earth did we ever forget to put outdoor lighting? We actually have provisions for it, so it’s not too late to put one. The frontage of the house would really look good all the more, creating a warm welcome to all our visitors. I’m thinking of putting a wall lantern, I already found a beautiful one at www.lightingshowplace.com. Come see for yourself and find a piece you’d like to see in your homes.

Wow! This is such good news and I know a lot of people who will be reading this entry will benefit with what I am going to share. So here’s the good news. This company does garage conversions. I so love this vertical blinds, I have one similar to this at home. But this one is better. There are no chains and cords attached to it, but instead you just use the wand to draw it, or just twist the wand if you want to angle the slats. If you ask me, I’d prefer the wand, chains and cords get entangled and sometimes it breaks easily. This blinds fit any size of windows too, if you find it too long, you can just fold it on top and slide it in between the bar. What I like about this product is it’s very easy to install, you all know by now that I am a DIY MOMMA and I want to do things on my own.
You gotta see their roman blinds too, their Bamboo Wood Roman Blinds is a real beauty. I want to have that in my house, it would complement the furnishings we have at home. I love the oak color of the blinds, it would go well with the yellow walls of our house. I wish I can have it for christmas, it would be something new and for sure it will add more beauty and make our house look cozy.
Oh by the way, they’re having a sale, prices that you can’t refuse. Really I’m not kidding, go ahead and check out the website.

When you visit our house, the fist thing you will see when you enter our gate is our garage. I’ve been quite strict in maintaining the cleanliness of our garage, because first impression sticks in the mind of every visitor. I want everything in place, I don’t like to see clutters all around. So the best solution I thought of was putting something that looks like the garage cabinets from www.carguygarage.com. It’s really very helpful aside from the fact that the whole garage is free of clutters. You can get things organized so when you need it, there’s only one place to look for it. You can store a lot of things in it, not only car tools. If you have storage problem, then this can be a solution to your problem too.

This is what I really need right now. This will be a very big help to our helpers especially when they clean the house. It’s not a joke to clean the house, it can be very tiring. By getting this utility cart, I will be able to lessen the load of cleaning, as everything they need is already there. They don’t need to go back and forth to the storage, because this utility card can hold almost all they need for cleaning.

When we usually visit homes of our friends, the first things I look at are their driveways. I believe that the driveway is a part of the house and should not be taken for granted. When we constructed our house, we saw to it that we had a beautiful driveway, this is the first thing that people notice when they visit your homes. Ours looks similar to these driveways. I mean the materials used, something like the cobble stones effect. It doubles as anti-skid too, you see our house is quite elevated to avoid water going inside the property when it rains hard.
What about you, what’s your driveway like? Well if you’re thinking of having your driveways renovated, look at no other place but anglianhome.co.uk. They would not be number one for the last 36 years if they are not considered by homeowners as the place to go to for quality Home improvements. They have helped millions of satisfied homeowners build their ideal homes. Each of their products is tailor made to fit your homes and they offer a 10-year guaranty compared to others who offer only 1 year.

Grrrrrr!!! I’m sure I placed it here, somewhere. Hmmmm…Have you been looking for that dress you wore a couple of months back but couldn’t find it anymore because of a cluttered closet? I was once a clutter queen, especially in the closet department. I’m the type that wouldn’t want to throw/giveaway out-dated clothes, clothes that haven’t been worn in years, clothes that don’t fit, clothes that I’m guilty of throwing or giving away because of guilt of how much I bought them, things like “I can’t throw them away, it was given by blah, blah, blah.” But I’m happy to say that I’m no longer like that, and I have improved so much in organizing my closet. I remember I posted a picture of my closet in one of my entries.
Here are some tips to help you organize your closets:
- Sort and separate. I group together the same type of clothes. Example, put together all sleeveless shirts in one shelf, long sleeves shirts in another shelf, etc.
- You do the same for hanging clothes too. Like items should be hanging together.
- Colorize! This makes the closet look appealing. Uh oh, I need to be doing this, my closet is not in living color. By doing this, you will see what colors you have a lot of, and what you are missing. It makes sense, right?
Now you will be able to “shop” in your closets and find new outfits, it will be easier to mix and match and put together outfits you didn’t know you had.

I guess all of us want to have a spic and span home…here are a few things that may do the trick…I need all these pretty bad, even if you say we just moved to our new home =(
“Now what is s Hot Spot? When you walk into a room, the Hot Spots are the first thing you see, and when left unattended will gradually take over. Here’s how we can find some hot spots in our homes. Take a walk around the outside of your home. Look for that “hidden” clutter you walk past every time you enter your front or back doors. You know, the boards leftover from an old project, the paint bucket that didn’t get thrown away, the old furniture that has sat in the rain for a couple of years, the broken ladder or wheelbarrow that is too scary to use, or the broken bicycles, trikes, sandboxes, and other toys that your kids have outgrown.
See how much of this clutter, the both of you can haul out as a team. Do you have a lot of stuff in your yard that you want to fling?”
Come on, let’s all do this together, I know it’s hard, but when will we start? Not tomorrow or in the days to come…but TODAY…LET’S GO!
