My husband is thinking of changing the tivoli lights we have every Christmas. He wants to put led rope light this time. It’s like he’s going to outline the whole house with led rope lights. I think the idea is awesome and I can’t wait. Actually he already thought of using it last Christmas, but we didn’t have enough time to plan everything. I am excited already because I saw this house with led rope lighting in one of the posh subdivisions and it’s just pretty and eye catching. The beautiful lighting sets it apart from all the other houses. I think it’s the perfect accent lighting to have during the holiday season. Hhhhmmm, what color should we use? If I’m going to ask my daughter, definitely she’ll say violet. Yeah, violet is cool, not a typical Christmas color, but nowadays there are no rules to follow really. As long as you think it would look good, then why not. And another thing, compared to the tivoli lights that we have, led rope lights have much longer life. The led bulbs can last up to 100,000 hours. Isn’t that amazing? And here’s another thing to be considered. Led rope lights generate almost no heat, and it requires less energy too. Woohoo we can save on electricity. Funny how we turn off the tivoli lights after an hour’s use, because of some news we hear that it can cause fire after prolonged use. With led rope lights, we can be assured that it’s safe even on extended hours of use.

Our family reunion was so much fun. There were games for the kids and for the adults as well. Goolay I suck! It’s either winning 2nd or 3rd but never 1st. Haha, there are actually 3 groups only. The Cabotaje (Auntie Glo), Tiongson (Auntie Aurie) and Ferrer (my dad). My two aunts are the sisters of my late father. There was like Ish and me representing the Ferrers, my brother was nowhere in sight, my SIL had to take care of her kids, Josh didn’t like to participate, so how? Tell me ^_^. Now I miss my two sisters just as I miss my SIL at New Year’s Eve. They could have helped me win and bring home the moolah, haha just kidding. I also miss the time that we were complete and everyone was present. A lot of my relatives now reside in the US, good thing my Auntie Glo invited some of our relatives to spend the New Year with us.

After 11 years, this is the first time that we are celebrating New Year’s Eve at my in-laws. Food was overflowing, more than enough for a whole battalion courtesy of my MIL. We got there around 10 in the evening and left at around 1 in the morning. We had fun watching the fireworks outside, if you noticed I put up my hood, well I’m not completely healed yet and after a long time I’m having asthma attacks again. It’s so hard having cough and colds + asthma, I get tummy ache from all the coughing. I feel a lot better now, doing some last minute wrapping and blogging and visiting my favorite links, yes I’m multi-tasking again. Later at 4, we will be going to my Aunt’s place for a reunion with my side of the family.
Happy New Year Everyone!

OMG! I can’t believe it! I didn’t blog for 3 days? Really? I was very busy taking care of a lot of things. I started cooking for our Noche Buena (Christmas Eve Feast) in the afternoon of the 24th. I prepared 2 kinds of pasta, buffalo wings, tenderloin steak, and fruit salad. I totally forgot about the ham and queso de bola. This is the first time that we didn’t have those two on the table. Even if there was just 4 of us plus our 3 “angels”, we had so much fun.
For those ones who still do not know, I made a soda free challenge for myself. This is really a struggle for me, so I’m making it known in my other blog. Making it public will somewhat help me stay out of it, because I have made my commitment known. Well Christmas day is an exception. As what my daughter said, “Mom, it’s ok, it’s Christmas!” But the next day, she reminded me. “Coke is over for you Mom.” I didn’t have soda for today, so yay for that.
I’d like to thank everyone for dropping by my blogs leaving a holiday greeting. Pardon me if I haven’t visited your blogs lately, I promise to make it up to you ^-^ .

Haha, looks like the Electric Company will be richer this holiday season. Err should I say only a little richer, because we turn it on for a maximum of 2 hours a day only. Oh plus the fact that the kids are home and that means turning on the A/C 24/7. I must work double time ^_^.
The telly was finally delivered, yay! Now N wants a 40-inch. Hmmm, maybe in a couple of years. We need to save for it some more. Meantime, we’ll just enjoy watching in this 29-inch Samsung.

Yes that is the reason why for 2 straight nights, I’ve been sleeping at almost 3 in the morning. I couldn’t do it daytime if you ask, how can I when I have been going back and forth to 168 Mall. I dunno but I’m quite OC when it comes to wrapping gifts. I want it uniform and if possible the creases should be in the right places. Yeah I can work at the gift wrapping section of the Department Stores. I know what you’re thinking. I’m not slow, bleh, it’s just that I was really multi-tasking that time I was wrapping the presents. Do you wanna know why I ended up sleeping at 3 in the morning? Blogging-Daily Reads-Wrapping

I’ve been tagged by Thess to join the Christmas Tree Parade, Come Join us too!
That is our Christmas Tree. We’ve actually put up that same old tree for 4 consecutive years already, and same goes with the ornaments. I have thought of getting another tree, maybe a little slimmer than that but more “bushy” as I hate to see spaces. I think they can do better than that and can make a perfect looking tree since it’s fake. Hopefully by next year, I can earn more moolah doing sponsored posts so I can buy the tree that I really want plus more ornaments, maybe for a silver and blue theme this time. Care to share a picture of your tree? (so I can get ideas on how to dress it up for next year, lol)
Here are the rules:
############ START COPY HERE ############
This is a first annual 2007 Christmas Tree Blog Parade Meme created and conceptualized by OTWOMD of Bluepanjeet.Net The purpose of this meme is to enliven the Christmas spirit by showing to the world our very own Christmas trees. They say that it is on the Christmas tree that best describes how a person celebrates Christmas. So here are the rules:
-
Copy the Logo of this meme (Download it on the sidebar and resize it that will best fit your blog or according to your desire) and post it on your entry.
-
Take a photo of your Christmas tree inside your house. A whole shot is the most appropriate photo. And post it on your entry
-
Tell something about your Christmas tree like who decorated it, what are the ornaments and accessories, or what is the theme and meaning of your Christmas tree this year.
-
You can put any title on your meme but don’t forget to include this “2007 1st Christmas Tree Blog Parade”.
-
Do the link train history. Put the link of your previous bloggers who tagged you and your own link, Example: Tag History: Bluepanjeet - “you” -
The link train will provide clue on “who tagged who” and at the same time a reference of data for the creator of this meme.
On The feast of Three Kings on January (The official ending of the Christmas Season), Bluepanjeet.Net will launch a mini site that will feature all of the participant’s Christmas trees for 2007 with a link back to their site. That is why it is very vital that you maintain the link history so that your Christmas tree will be included in the Christmas tree blog parade of 2007 and will be a part of history.

Wow! Upon reading what could be done when I visit Europe this Christmas season, I want to pack my luggage right away and visit the place. First i haven’t experienced what winter is like. And the best way to experience winter is visit London! Celebrate the festive season by experiencing London’s largest free winter event. The Bankside Frost Fair is really cool where one can experience sled rides, listen to Christmas carols sang by choirs and bands. And there’s so much more. What’s nice about it is everything is a walking distance away from Hotels in London. These hotels are strategically located that everything is convenient to whatever you fancy.
Manchester is not to be missed too. Gone are the days being an industrial city as it is now considered as one of the coolest in Britain. Start your day by visiting their art museums and educated yourselves of the past. They also say that shopping is superb in this place because you don’t need to travel a great distance, in fact you can walk from one store to another. Hotels in Manchester is never a problem as it is seen everywhere. You can always find an affordable one and you will even be surprised to find out that it’s actually dirt cheap. It’s really a matter of going finding the best deal that will suit your accommodation needs.
How about Birmingham? If you want to experience a city that is vibrant day and night, then Birmingham it is. It is a city where yesterday and today are combined. Hmmm, this is quite interesting. You can experience past and present here. Hey look! The Hotels in Birmingham are not expensive either. You can find a hotel for 35 GBP! Arrrgh, how I wish I can indeed pack my bags and leave right now! Any sponsors? Nah just kidding!

Look at this magical Plasma Art, truly a work of art. I want to have one in my living room, it would make a beautiful accent with it’s vibrant blue and red color. It’s 18 inch tall, it dances and reacts to your touch. This will remind me of the beautiful neon colors of Hong Kong by night. It really beautiful and it gives a fantastic light effects. You would be surprised it if tell you that it’s only $24.99, yeah it’s on sale now.
And how about this? It would be an instant hit to everyone. It does not only react to your touch but dances to your music as well. Cool, isn’t it? It’s nice to put this in our music room, and while the music is playing, it’s a breather watching the lights go with the beat of the music. Simply amazing! And it’s on sale too. This would make as a perfect gift to friends and loved ones for Christmas. Something that they will cherish, and something that you will see in their homes the next time you visit them. It’s sad that sometimes we find our gifts just lying in the storeroom, it’s because we are not smart enough in choosing.

They have a fresh pine for a Christmas tree over at my in-laws. It’s really pretty, and it smells so good. It’s like when you enter their house, it’s gives a different scent of freshness, like you’re in the woods or something. It does not really look like a real tree from afar, it’s the smell that gives it away. I was pretty excited when my SIL mentioned that they’re having a fresh pine, we were even kidding her that it’s just grown in Baguio NOT! Nah it’s imported from the US, I think the friend of her friend is the importer. Hhhmm, shall I have a fresh tree next year?

Oh yes! I’m finally done with the tree. I am quite late in setting it up, I was waiting for my daughter Ish to help me put the trimmings. I don’t know why we haven’t done in in the past weekends, aaahh we were always out and by the time we got home we were dead tired already. So one afternoon, I took the liberty to decorate the tree with the help of my “angels”. I actually find the trimmings boring already since I’ve had it for the last 4 years I think. Hopefully next year, I will be able to change the theme and probably change my tree too. Well let’s see ^_^

Wowowee! This is the kind of christmas elf ornaments I want to have hanging on my tree. It’s cute and very colorful, and I want to have all of them. They will add beauty to my Christmas tree. Right just in time, I was talking to my sister and she was asking me if I need anything because they will be sending a box. I guess I like to order this Christmas ornaments and the other Christmas decorations I saw in the website. I want to take advantage of the sale, they offer great discounts.

Look Christmas is just around the corner. Have you done your Christmas shopping? I’m partly done with my shopping list because I don’t want to join the holiday rush. It’s very tiring you know. Now if you don’t want to be stressed out on last minute shopping, why don’t you do it now. Make use of coupon codes which will allow you great savings. Couponchief.com has a lot of coupons for you to avail. The savings you get will allow you to stretch out your budget more. Check out Dell coupons. They give as much as $500 off on Dell notebooks. Make someone happy by giving them this as a Christmas present. Try Old Navy deals too. You get as much as 50 percent off.

Yeah you can smell Christmas in the air at home. We started putting up the tree which took the whole day. My light requirement for the tree is quite difficult and there’s only one person who can master it. It’s the yaya (nanny) of my son Josh. She’s an expert I tell you. It’s really beautiful when it’s lighted. I might put the trimmings tomorrow if I have extra time. But on second thought, I think I need to wait for Saturday so that my darling girl can help me.

Sem Break started yesterday for the kids. It’s going to be a week long vacation. We planned to go to Subic today, but some things came up so the plan was ditched. Too bad, everyone was already excited. I know you’d say what about the other days of the week. Well my answer is I don’t think so, unless we want to be caught in a jam. Yes, there will be a lot of people who will be going home to the province to remember their dead relatives. We already experienced going out of town on those dates, and I swear we will never do it again. Half of the time was wasted on travelling.
Now I have to think of another plan. Oh maybe we can go swimming at the nearby Ace Water Spa. I have not tried it, but my kids have, a couple of times already. Yeah I think that’s it, we will go swimming tomorrow!

It’s now the time of the year where holidays come one after another. We will be celebrating Halloween next week, Thanksgiving in November and the much awaited Christmas! My children have made their wish list already and I have come up with my own wish list too, well that’s on top of the list I’m making for gifts to be given out to loved ones and friends. I’m very happy that I have come across this website in the net that offers Gap coupons. Gap is one of the favorite brands of my daughter, and I’m thinking of getting her something from that store. For myself, I’m planning to buy a designer jeans probably a 7 for all mankind since it is included in the Labelspree deals. There are a lot more beautiful items I can purchase using coupons, it’s better to take advantage of it now while it is being offered. I’ll just have to ring my sisters in the US and give them this website, so they can buy the items for me and send it here in time for Christmas.

Good news to all families out there, especially if you’re planning a trip to Orlando, Florida. If there are more than four of you who’s travelling, then it would be a lot cheaper to go for Orlando vacation rental homes rather than check in at hotels. Staying at a vacation home rentals has a lot of benefits. You can do you’re own cooking, which saves you a lot of money, you can lounge anywhere just like what you do at home, and it’s more relaxing if your staying at a real “home” atmosphere.

Christmas is the season of giving, and it’s fast approaching. And this is the month that I start shopping for gifts. Yes, this early, I don’t want to stress out myself doing last minute shopping. Doing it this time of the year gives me more time to think on what to give. They say that I am known for giving Personalized Gifts , I am happy doing that, I don’t give just for the sake of giving. I always think of the person’s personality, likes and dislikes before I find the final gift for them. Most often than not, they are happy and appreciative of what I give them, and it gives me a sense of satisfaction knowing that they like what I chose for them.
How about you? Have you done your Christmas shopping yet? Avoid the rush, if you can, do it NOW!
