No More Bad Hair Days

Posted by girlie on March 3, 2010

Let me ask you, where do you go when you want to change Hairstyles? Are you like me? Whenever I want to have a new look, I immediately go online and surf for hairstyles. I am one person who can really go very short or very long. Medium length would always be the awkward length for me. Whenever I’m in that stage, I would always go and look for the Latest Hairstyles so that I will know how to fix it and not end up having short hair again. I have a never ending love affair with my hair. Sometimes I feel that I own the most abused hair, what with all the heating and styling. But it’s a good thing that we now have different treatments for abused hair. Sometimes I would look for these particular Hair Styles that do not allow me to put styling products nor use a blow dryer or a curling iron. On bad hair days, you would also find me using the internet in search for something that will make my hair look gorgeous, a quick fix I must say. Most of the time it really works. As much as possible I don’t want to be seen in my bad hair day mode. Who would anyway? It’s just normal I guess considering that our hair is our crowning glory.

My “Gossip Girl”

Posted by girlie on December 14, 2008

Photobucket Darling Doll asked me to buy a headband she can use one time. She showed me a picutre of “Serena” (Gossip Girl) and she goes, “Mom this is the hair I want on Mama’s Wedding.” Oh ok I told her. Good thing we found a headpiece we could use for the hairdo she desired.

Photobucket What do you think? Is it close? I forgot to take a picture of the back part, it looked really nice.

My Victory Hair

Posted by girlie on August 19, 2008

Photobucket That’s what I call my Victory Hair, the style that makes people have a second look, whether they find it good or weird, I couldn’t care much. As long as I feel good about myself, then that’s all that matters. I’m one person who wants to try different hairstyles. Now you see me with super straight, then tomorrow I would sport soft curls. That’s what you call Extreme Style by VO5. I’ve been using this brand since when? Oh I don’t remember anymore, yeah that’s how long I came to know about that brand. Their products are a big help to me and my daughter, especially now that we don’t do salons anymore. I’m the one fixing her hair whenever we attend special occasions. Well I can only achieve the kind of hair style she wants with the aid of VO5’s products. Oh they have very good hot oil products too. After the blow drying and styling, we should treat our hair with tender loving care. How about you? What’s your victory hair? I wanna find out, perhaps I can copy your style? Oh before I forget, I joined the Ultimate Flirting Championship, LOL. I know you are curious how I did. I did pretty well, with the kind of hairstyle I sported, I need not talk a lot. I just gave them the look that would make them interested in me. Go ahead, challege yourself, does your kind of flirting work?

Horse Hair

Photobucket Photobucket Yep it has grown an inch longer and it hasn’t been a month, about two weeks probably because that was taken on VEE day. Heehee I made an extra effort to fix it, of course to look more beautiful for the hubs, eeewww! But when we got to Tagaytay, it was windy and it sucks big time…effort in vain =(.. I posted these pix because there’s one person who noticed that indeed it has grown, and she’s none other than CutiePatootie. “Buhok kabayo” ika nga Rhads!

Curly Fries

Photobucket That’s her now, isn’t she pretty? ^_^ Boo! Of course I love my own, harhar. She’s like me too, very adventurous when it comes to looks, lol. Not scared to try different things. Oh well like mother like daughter! I told her awhile back, I want a digital perm too, but how? I promise to grow my hair back then have it done. But by the time it grows long, I wonder if I still like the curly look.

2 Trips in a Week!

Posted by girlie on January 31, 2008

shortee.JPG  This is how I look now. Yep two trips to the salon in a week! Actually I was really planning to have this style the first time I went to the salon. But the stylist told me that it was too short. Maybe he just couldn’t tell me straight that the style/cut does not fit the frame of my face. Oh well! But I couldn’t sleep at night. Yep I’m like that, whenever I like something and I don’t get it, I dream of it. Plus the hubby who is bugging me that shorter hair fits me. Ok fine, deserves another trip to the salon. So there, I finally got the cut/style that I really wanted. It’s wash and wear, I can leave the house anytime without blowdrying or ironing. But of course it would look better if I ironed it.

**Ish likes it shorter, will have to hear from Josh, we fought last night so I guess he didn’t notice it**

Mother-Daughter Bonding

Posted by girlie on November 14, 2007

salon.jpg  This is what we do every night before Ish goes to bed.  In between watching TV, I blow dry her hair.  She likes to take a bath at night so she won’t wake up early in the mornings just to get ready for school.  And she said something like, “I don’t want to bother you in the mornings Mom, to comb my hair.”  Yes, I used to do that every morning before she goes to school.  She wants me to style her hair, nah make that fix her hair.  She claims that she does not know how to put the clip properly.  She claims too that whenever I’m the one putting the clip, her hair stays in place.  I’m happy with our bonding time.  If my darling boy goes for a massage, then my darling girl goes for a blow dry.  Mommy’s special touch is still there, it’s one way of showing my love for my kids.

Hair Now…Hair Forever!

My uncle says he is well known for doing hair transplant surgery. Meet Dr. Lawrence J. Shapiro, owner of Dr. Shapiro Hair Institute. He has been in practice for some 18 years now. He is actually a dermatologist but specializes exclusively in hair transplant in south florida. He is the first doctor to do “strip incision”, and the 1st doctor in the Southern US to do micro-mini grafts. He has done more than 10,000 satisfied patients in his almost 18-year career. When you call for an appointment, you are sure to meet Dr. Shapiro himself because he does not have any salesman. He has a wonderful and highly trained and experienced medical staff. His team are there to support you through the entire hair transplant process. I was surprised to find out that this procedure is out-patient. You will be able to go home and go back to your activities on that same day they did the procedure. And here’s a bit of good news. His Hair Institute offers interest free payment plan. And not only that, if you call them and make an appointment to schedule your free consultation, they will give you 100 free grafts. Isn’t that great?

“Boy Magnet”

Posted by girlie on

I often hear Josh call/refer to his sister as “boy magnet”.  It’s like when I admire Ish with anything, next the words that will come out of Joshua’s  mouth would be “boy magnet”.  While we were having lunch awhile back I asked him what “boy magnet” means.  And he was like, “Duh! Mommy it’s the things that you do that attracts boys.  You know, like how you fix your hair, the clothes that you wear.”  I suddenly fixed my hair “Isha Style”, then said, like this Josh?  Do I qualify?  And he was like… “For the love of …Noooooo, you are already married!”  Haha, as if I don’t know that.  What’s funny, their Dad reacted, saying “No boy magnet for you, you are married.”  DUH!

You L.I.K.E.?

Since last week, I have been toying with the idea of having a new look. Yes I feel so bored. I look so plain and ugly. Finally today I had the time to make an appointment at Salon de Manila. Was suppose to have it at 1 in the afternoon, but some things came up. We were to have lunch at Bangus in Greenhills hosted by the eledest brother of N. I asked the salon if they can squeeze me at 4 pm, which they did, YAY!

I actually love my new look, but my SON does not like it at all. When he arrived from school and saw me, there was a quizzical look on his face. Before he could come over and kiss me, he said something like “Mom, it’s not nice. You look like some kontrabida (villain) in one of the soaps in ABS.” There goes my new look, nobody likes it except me =(
