Featured Friends

Featured Friends

1. I am one of Jen’s featured friends.
2. As such, I should include her name and also pick 4 or 5 more of my own featured friends.
3. I have to inform ALL the featured friends to keep the ball rolling.

Note: If you use Blogger, you can add your featured friends using the new page element ‘Link List’.

You may read everything about how this Featured Friend started by reading here and here.

Here are my featured Friends:
Jen - the crochet queen, man you gotta check out her projects, actually she inspired me to go into crocheting again, haha I know I’m gaya-gaya (copycat)!

Marie - she recently went into politics, and I can say that she’s really effective. She has started some projects already and I know there’s more to come. Way to go Chairman!

Soy - if not for her leaving a comment on my other blog, i wouldn’t have known her. i enjoy reading her posts as much as i enjoy her visits to my blog too, thanks Soy.

Rach - I learn something new whenever I visit her blog. I love her writing style. Rach is such a warm person, you can feel it in the comments she leaves in your blogs.

KC - I love her to bits, we have a lot of things in common. I really miss reading her posts, but I understand since they just relocated to a new place, plus the arrival of baby JC. She’s my “twit buddy”.

World Bestfriend Week

Posted by girlie on December 2, 2007

bff.jpg  I’ve met quite a handful of wonderful people through our blogs, and I am so blessed that I am able to share my friendship with them. Even though I have not met them personally, there’s just a connection. I’d like to meet LovelyMummy someday and continue the friendship I have with her. Thanks a lot for giving me this lovely award.

“Do you know the relationship between your 2 eyes? They blink together, move together, cry together, see things together and sleep together. Even though they never see each other, friendship should be just like that! Life is like Hell without FRIENDS. Its ‘World Best Friend Week’. Send this to your best friends to let them know you appreciate them. “

Your Love is Ur Heart,

friend.jpg  It’s so nice to know that a blogger who has not seen you personally consider you as one of their friends. I’m so blessed to have a friend in you too, Thess and Lizeth .

KC is sooo special to me, and I can always tell her “I’ve got a friend in you!”  I hope to get to see and finally meet her in person come 2008. Hope their plans of visiting the Philippines will push thru. I’m already excited Ks!

Thanks Kit =)

girlie.gif  Look how thoughtful Kitty is. She gave me this Halloween present. Thanks a lot girlfriend. You are so kind and sweet considering you are a busy momma, but you still took time to make me this. I appreciate it really. If you like my Halloween sig tag, you can drop by Kitty’s blog and leave her a message, I’m sure she’s gonna make you one too in time for Halloween ^_^ Thanks again Kit, mwah!

Not that B.O.R.E.D anymore!

Last saturday, my son Josh requested if I could drive him somewhere (I don’t have a clue where, I’ll just follow his navigation) to buy his level up card for this online game FLYFF he plays. Little did we know that the card was available in a store just a few steps away from our house.

Then I asked him, let’s go on a date, “don’t call it that Mom!”. Make it let’s hangout nah, let’s call it bonding instead. Hehe, even with the choice of words, he is very particular. Is it really like this? Having kids who are in an awkward stage? Every word has go through the “board of censors”. Arrrggghhh, I don’t think I can put up with this.

Anyway, here’s what he had. He said he’s gonna forget about dieting. NO DIET indeed!

Going Big Time

rich.JPG Remember this entry? Well, he finally made it as a print ad model. It came out on Philippine Star on September 28. Am I proud of him? Yes I am, although sometimes this guy’s really annoying to the max! ^_^ I wish him more print ad projects so he can finally treat me, bwaaahh!

.:: My Coffee Buddy ::.

Posted by girlie on July 26, 2007

This is Richard, a high school classmate and my favorite coffee buddy. He is an engineer by profession, and still single (calling out all females out there ^_^ ) He sent me an sms one time, asking if I can take some shots of him to be submitted to an ad agency. Yes, he was spotted as a potential commercial model. I’m happy to share that he is on the second stage already, he just had his VTR a couple of days back. This guy’s really funny, that’s why I always look forward to having coffee with him.

We Were There

Posted by girlie on March 31, 2007

We attended The Philippine Blog Awards earlier to represent FrancescainFrance who was one of the finalists in the Special Awards category (Best OFW Blog). It was a successful event, though I expected see and meet more bloggers. I was happy to have met ApplesH who was part of the registration team. I saw Toni and her hubby who’s seated right in front of us, Toni bagging the Best Home and Living Blog category…congratulations! Funny how Toni was excluded in the announcement of the finalist in that category, and that her husband had to point out to the emcees the screenshot being flashed on the stage (imho, even if her blog was not listed in the script, those emcees should have known since they were bloggers themselves, one even mentioned that she went through all the blogs of the finalists last night).

Congratulations to all the winners…and to Francesca, even if you did not bag the award, you are still a winner…in our hearts. We love you!

G…Gealouxy…GIRLIE

G! Finally we met…you are such a beautiful and wonderful person. We had lunch at Podium along with Cuz, Toni and Tito Rolly. It was also the first time that I met Tito Rolly (everybody’s Tito, young and old), he’s such a funny sensitive guy. Anyways, We enjoyed all the food that was served, the conversations(it was like we have been friends for a long time, oh maybe we are - “cyberfriends”).

Too bad Toni and Tito Rolly couldn’t stay for G’s “babystuff” shopping. Nope, she is not shopping for herself, but for her sister who is giving birth this Feb. See why I say she is wonderful? Really she is! After some shopping, we had coffee at Starbucks, talked about a lot of things, forgetting about the time and all. G, it was really great seeing you and hope to see you again hopefully with Kat this time.

Rare Times

Posted by girlie on November 1, 2006

I woke up extra early today to prepare the marinades for the food that I will be serving Cuz and her family for lunch. I was a bit excited and at the same time worried coz this is the first time I’m having guests at home. I am used to cooking only for the family. I decided to go “inihaw” (grilled), having porkchops, chicken inasal, and milkfish. I also included in the menu my signature korean dish which is beef bulgoki which we were supposed to cook in the dining table (but everyone was hungry so I decided to just cook it myself in the stove) and my Mom’s famous(only among relatives) pancit molo. I haven’t quite perfected this dish yet but i’m proud to say that i’ve come close (di ba Kuya Rey?) to Mom’s version.

It was a fun filled afternoon, kids having their own things to do like watch dvd, play video games, surf the net. The boys had their own too, talking about guns, bikes, dogs, etc. Of course we had our own agenda too, talked about the costumes we will be wearing in our upcoming belly recital on the first week of December, I showed Cuz the materials I was able to buy in Divisoria, and we were able to practice one dance routine.

Time was short, we couldn’t squeeze all the things we wanted to do, I guess that’s how it always is when you are having fun, time rans fast. For photos, please click Cuz’ latest entry here
