I Found a Unique Cuff Link

Posted by girlie on July 21, 2008

I found these unique cuff links online. It’s really cool, something my man would wear. I just got him 3 sets of long sleeve shirts from Celio and a matching set of cuff links would complete the outfit. If I remember it right, he has only 1 set. It’s about time I add to his collection, err how can it be a collection since he has only one. Ah, silly me! From all the collection I’ve seen, I love the silver clock watch cuff links. Yeah the watch is working. With this, he won’t be late for his appointment. Go and check it out. This is a great gift idea for the man in our life.

Nailart Brushes

Posted by girlie on July 16, 2008

Photobucket I bought this special nail polish at Beauty Bar. If you notice, it has a different brush. It’s kinda thin and pointed. This polish is solely made for nailart. It’s nice to create thin lines with this type of brush. It actually depends on the intensity of gliding, haha why am I making it sound so complicated. Anyways, I really find this very helpful and it made diy nailart easier.

Photobucket I totally forgot that I had this set of nailart brushes. It was the first time I used it. It made my nailart less messy. Different brushes for different strokes. Err do I talk like a pro? Teehee!

My Latest Addiction

Posted by girlie on July 11, 2008

Photobucket That is just one (inset) of the cloths I bought at Mustafa in Singapore. I admit, I did a major shopping there. I can’t help it, all the prints are lovely. I can’t stop myself from picking and eventually buying. Well that’s what I splurged on, nevah mind if it’s a bit expensive. I don’t wanna cry in the middle of nothing thinking why in the world did I not buy the cloth. Yes I had a grand time there, in fact we went back again for another round of peeking through the rolls. I love it there, I want to live in Singapore and go to Mustafa every single day. Haha, uber na uber na ito, sobrang addict na sa tela…oh well. The consolation is, when I went to Divisoria to accompany the chairman, I didn’t find the cloths I bought in Singapura, wee! Oh, how to do like the design? It’s an Oscar dela Renta ^_^

Yellow Gold Watches

Posted by girlie on June 5, 2008

I used to love gold watches, but this time I don’t know why I am fascinated with either a white tone or the two toned white and gold ones. But when I saw these womens gold watches all of a sudden I want to own a gold watch. Yes, I don’t have one right now, and it would really look good with some of my formal clothes. I think it’s about time to get one. It would be a good investment especially if it a yellow gold watch with some diamonds. Haha, keep on dreaming, who knows.

Biggie Watch

Posted by girlie on May 31, 2008

Photobucket  Sometimes I do think whether I am really a girl ^_^.  I remember playing a lot of games for boys when I was younger.  Yes I played with dolls but I wouldn’t last that long.  Maybe one of the reasons why I was “tomboyish” when I was younger is because I often played with my brother.  I would do boy stuff with him.  This might be one of the reasons too why I go for big watches.  I don’t know but I have a certain fascination for that.  My wrist is small, but I appreciate wearing big watches.  Those are my 3 collections of biggie watches.  Hubby was kind enough to lend me his junior watch.  That is actually the size I find perfect for my wrist.  I will have it adjusted so I can wear and enjoy it. Yay!

Beautiful Designer Jewelry

Posted by girlie on May 19, 2008

My favorite chef is wearing this designer jewelry. It’s not only her, but it’s becoming a fast favorite of some of hollywood’s brightest. The designs have been featured in magazines like InStyle, Redbook, People, etc. I was curious about her designs and what makes it so special. I looked for the designer online and I found her awesome designs. I particularly like her Lulu and Sinai Sterling Silver Necklace. It’s something I want to wear. It’s very simple yet very elegant. Actually all her designs are beautiful. It’s not so elaborate, it’s more on the simple side. I’ve always thought that simplicity is always equal to elegance.

It’s Hand Made

Posted by girlie on April 28, 2008

I really love this handmade cowboy boots. When I saw it online, I really fell in love with it. It has a 2 color combination, light blue and brown, and a square toe. It’s so pretty. It will really look good on a pair of denim mini skirt or a pair of jeans. I bet my daughter will love it too, to add to her collection. She’s fond of fashionable stuff. If you want to see more fashionable stuff, you can visit cavenders.com. That’s where I found the lovely pair of boots.

Military Clothing which I Love

Posted by girlie on November 23, 2007

There was a time when Ish and I went gaga over military clothing. We bought a camouflage tee, skirt and pants, and up until now, we still get to wear it. I also bought a camouflage shirt for Josh. On the other hand, my husband N bought a camouflage jacket which he wears whenever we watch a movie. That’s how we love military-like clothing.

I found an online store that sells everything we love. They even sell the footwear Ish has been eyeing all these years. There’s a pretty camouflage swimwear I also saw and want to buy. If you go to their website, you’ll see a lot more aside from the camouflage clothing. They have camping and hiking supplies, Military shoes and boots, bags etc. Just go to their website to see for yourself ok? Happy shopping!

Whether it’s diamond necklaces or diamond engagement rings, trust me that you can never go wrong with diamonds, and you can never go wrong by getting your diamonds from Danforth Diamond. Trust me when I tell you that they’ve got the best selection and quality of diamonds that I know the girl in your life will love.

168.jpg

Here’s another pretty dress I bought at 168.  I am really funny, after declaring that I am a rehabilitated shopaholic, here I am posting my cheap but pretty shopping find.  Well I just can’t resist buying this.  Imagine at 480 pesos ($11), who wouldn’t be tempted to buy it, right?  And it matches the peep toe sent by my sister.  Hmmmm come to think of it, maybe that’s the reason why I was lured into buying this dress, there is a pair of peep toe waiting to be matched.

Beaded Havaianas

I’ve been eyeing this havaianas ever since I found it in the web.  I’m not sure though if it’s already available here.  Haven’t really been much to malls so I wouldn’t know.  Again this is still part of what I got from my sisters.  They are really very generous to me.  Thank You MARYs!

Pretty!

That is the dress I bought at 168 Mall today. Isn’t it pretty? It’s made of silk material and the print is just lovely. The colors I love to. And it goes with the peep toe I got from my sister! Hmmmm, what bag should I wear with this? Wahoo, I have something to wear on our next wedding coverage!  Wait just between you and me, I paid only 550 pesos ($12) for that dress, what a bargain!

Prescription Sunglasses

Posted by girlie on

My darling daughter has been wanting to wear sunglasses, but the thing is she wears prescription glasses and she can’t see a thing without it. She’s gonna go crazy if I show her these prescription sunglasses I found while surfing the net. These are the type of sunglasses she’d like to have, the ones worn by Hollywood stars! She has been showing me those biggie hip sunglasses she finds in the fashion magazines she buys. Now I don’t need to buy her contact lenses just to be able to wear sunglasses.

I Love my New Peep Toe!

Posted by girlie on

peep1.jpg peep.jpg  I’d like to thank my sisters for sending me these two beautiful peep toe wedges (whatever it’s called).  I’ve been looking for these but can’t seem to find the ones I really like.  This would go with the 2 dresses I bought at 168 a while back.  Be posting pictures a little later.  Woohoo I’m really excited and happy!  Thank God for sisters!

I Love Pearls

Posted by girlie on November 1, 2007

I’ve been wanting to have this pearl necklace a long time ago, so I have something to wear on my neck whenever I wear my South Sea studs. I’ve always been planning to buy it every time I celebrate my birthday, but at the last minute I usually change my mind to buy something else. It’s really pretty, though it looks very simple, but once you wear it, WOW!

Hip Clothes for Babies

Posted by girlie on September 29, 2007

I love dressing up my kids when they were younger. I would do my usual rounds at the malls in search of nice comfortable clothes for them. I’d usually pick beautiful and trendy cotton tops for them. I love the feel of cotton, it’s soft and does not cause itching at all. I would dress them up with cute baby clothes, and most often than not, I would hear nice comments from people who see them. They would always compliment what my children are wearing and sometimes they would ask where I buy clothes for them. Now that they are bigger, I still pick trendy and comfortable clothes for them.

Thank You Sweet!

Posted by girlie on September 24, 2007

silver1.JPG silver2.JPG  Our driver called to inform us that he can’t come today because he had sore eyes. Whenever he’s not around, I take his place bringing and waiting for the kids in school together with their yaya (nanny). Nelson fetched me in school at about 11:00, he wanted me to accompany him to Greenhills and to have lunch at Bangus Restaurant, and pay our mobile phone bills. And what else do you do when you are in Greenhills? Of course, shopping! He did his share of shopping, buying 4 pairs of jeans. He saw me eyeing this cutie silver bag, well I was just admiring it really but did not have intentions of buying it. But when he paid for the stuffs he bought, he also paid for the bag without asking me if I wanted it. Maybe it was all painted in my face that I really really like it, hehe! Thank You Sweet!

“Jibbitz”

Posted by girlie on September 12, 2007

jibbitz.JPGLookie! I have quite a number of “jibbitz” already. There’s actually 3 original jibbitz which I bought from the crocs store at 150 Php each, 4 from skechers at 75 Php each, and the rest are knockoffs at 3 for 100 Php. There’s actually not much difference at all. I bought the knockoffs from my friend who has a shop in Greenhills, and I guess she gave it to me at a discounted price. Yay! Even my mary jane is hip!

**I got Ish her own set too, and she’s one happy gal!**

In My Beautiful Top

Posted by girlie on September 9, 2007

work.JPGRemember the cloth?  Yes it’s the same cloth worn by Ish during her grandpa’s 90th birthday.  I like the color a lot,  so with the bead details, that I bought an extra 2 meters just to have this top sewn.  I wore this yesterday at the two wedding coverages we had.  Everyone said it was pretty.  Just between you and me, I copied the design from one of the top designers from eluxury.com. I am happy how it turned out, just the way it is. Again, I want to thank Larry for making this beautiful top for me, I know you were sort of challenged with the design, and still you were able to execute it even if it was based only on pictures I showed you.

Hip and Chic Clothes

Posted by girlie on

Here’s an online store I recently discovered, it’s Tobi.Com. It’s one of the few online stores I know who have in-house stylists who can make shopping a lot easier for you. They can even do the shopping for you next time. They take note of the types of clothes you go for, your body type, budget, and your specific style. There are times that you do not have extra time to do all these, so why not just leave it all to the stylist, right?

Do not worry about them picking out the wrong style for you. Nothing can go wrong because the stocks that they sell are all pretty. They make it a point that when they buy, they only get clothes that they know their customers will love. Take for example velvet apparel, this is the in thing today, even celebrities go for it. And why not? Their clothes are simple and yet very elegant. If you look at it, the style is very basic really but it is in the details that make it very pretty.

The reason why I like their velvet clothing is because it is a perfect day and night wear. I need not worry if there are invitations for a night out with friends, or a date with a special guy because I can still look my best. Their designs allow you to wear it for meetings, for work or just simply chilling out. So there is no need to go home and change, from the office you can go out and enjoy the night.

What’s interesting too about velvet clothes, is its structure. It brings out your best asset, because it perfectly hugs your curves, and yet gives a very nice flow. This is the perfect style for me because it hides my flaws and enhances my asset. I also like how simple it looks but once you wear it, it transforms you to an elegant woman. You can wear it with anything, low rise jeans, skirts, and shorts. Other items are good for layering when you feel cold, and you still come out stylish. Check it out so you’ll have an idea how beautiful their clothes are.

Inspired by KC’s Peep Toes Shoes

Posted by girlie on August 3, 2007

style1.jpg

I was inspired more like jealous of KC’s collection of shoes in different colors that I decided to buy my own peep toes when I went to 168 Shopping Mall yesterday.  I think it’s made in Korea, and comes in different colors.  I wanted to get the mustard one to go with my Furla bag, but too bad they didn’t have my size.

That’s what I wore today when I attended belly dancing class.  Would you believe I bought that bag at Bakers in Philly for only $6,  my sister and I went gaga when we saw the bags in different colors and were on sale.  We bought around 8 that time.  Actually the top and the pants were on sale too, just forgot how much, probably below $10 each.  With a total of $30 more or less, I can look good ^_^

A Very Slow Week 1

Posted by girlie on December 4, 2006

I dunno, but I found the past week really slow, despite the fact that we were working. We had work last Saturday, ending at midnight, had to wake up early the following day to leave for Baguio for another wedding coverage. It was our first time to cover a wedding in Baguio, but the 3rd up north. First two was in Ilocos Region. I was all excited to do the Baguio Wedding all because of this…

Baguio’s climate allowed me to wear my boots…yes, I get to wear my boots also here in Manila, but always under my jeans. It’s fun dressing up once in a while, a really big deal for me. Just between you and me ok? Baguio is equal to boots…haha! I was thinking of that the whole time, even waking up in the middle of the night, rummaging through my closet, choosing what dress to wear with it. Yep that was how obssessed (this word’s too strong) keen I was on wearing it.

Twas a long weekend too…classes were suspended on Thursday because of Typhoon Reming. We were scheduled to go to 168 in Divisoria Friday, but decided to go Thursday, and it was a very good decision. 168 was all packed on Friday because of the holiday declared by PGMA. It was Isha’s 2nd time to go to Divisoria, but she was like 5 or 6 when we brought her there, and it left a really bad mark on her…the smell and all. So everytime we ask if she wants to go to Divisoria with us, her answer would always be a big NO! But since she has heard a lot about that 168 Mall from her classmates, when I asked her if she wanted to come along, she immediately said YES without thinking, erasing all the memories she’s had about Divisoria. She was overwhelmed by what she saw, all nice and pretty things at a very reasonable price. She was able to get her friends some christmas presents, was able to buy herself some stuffs too. And when asked again if she wants to go back some other time, it’s a big YES for her, despite the fact that she got dizzy by all the movements. I too got dizzy, a first for me. I’m a certified Divisoria Momma, but there was just soooooo much people that day, too much to handle.

Friday was another bonding time for us…BAKING! It was Isha’s time to bake in the house after she took baking class under Chef Jill Sandique last summer. She was the princess of the kitchen, as it was also a first time for me, so I was clueless and all. I used to help Mom bake cakes before, but I was like in elementary grade that time, I didn’t know about measurements to turning on the oven. It was actually my first to use the oven. Everything turned out well except that we produced really HUGE cookies.

Josh really wanted to help…but couldn’t wait, the pans that we bought at Chocolate Lover was big and wouldn’t fit in the oven, so I asked our helper to return it and change it to a smaller one. There was no smaller cookie pan available, so we ended up buying the brownie pan instead, just to push through with the baking, excitement you know =) We were able to make chocochip cookies and I tried making crinkles from the readymix we bought in the grocery. I’m gonna make some adjustments with the measurements though, I find the cookies a bit too sweet. Hope we’re gonna be experts soon…might turn this thing into a business…and while at it, I’m thinking of giving cookies as presents this Christmas!
