A Day with the Kap

Posted by girlie on December 31, 2008

Photobucket

Photobucket Ever since she became a Barangay Captain, we haven’t been really been spending time with each other except for special occasions like birthdays. She’s been very busy and does not even have time for herself anymore. She even wrote in her blog that this is one of the things she had to give up (no choice actually) when she won the seat. Well at least she took time out to spend Dec. 26 with me and my daughter. We had a great time at Teriyaki Boy, our fave restaurant whenever in Greenhills. We didn’t go shopping together this time coz she had to buy gifts for her friends, and I was interested to go to Face Shop :-) . I went with Ish and Queenie though and did the usual thing we do whenever at Face Shop…that is a makeover.

A Date With The Chairman

Posted by girlie on September 17, 2008

Photobucket Ever since she assumed post, we rarely get together. Or should I be saying ever since we both got into the ESPEE thing instead. But really, we don’t meet as often as we used to. Since she had a meeting at BDO in Ortigas, we thought of having lunch at Podium. I was happy to see her, clad in a business suit. I even kidded her that I was going a lil bit formal too. Yeah I wore a dress and shopped for another dress too. And the dress that I bought? I will reserve that for another entry. It’s a “manang” dress.

Post Celebration with Cuz

Posted by girlie on June 24, 2008

Photobucket I finally got the chance to post celebrate my birthday with The Chairman last Friday. I was asking her if she wanted to go to Trinoma, since she has not been there yet. Too bad she didn’t have a driver that day, so it was more convenient for her to go to Greenhills area instead. I treated her at Dulcinea, and whenever we go to Dulcinea, we only order one thing, and that is their Seafood Paella. We were supposed to have our picture taken at a studio that day, but I don’t know what happened why it didn’t materialize. Ah, for one we were already running late for our belly dancing class, and secondly she didn’t get a good curl, haha, how vain really is this cousin of mine. Anyway the studio is just there, anytime we can have our pictures taken…maybe on her birthday.

2 Movies in a Day

Posted by girlie on June 6, 2008

Cuz and I wanted to watch Sex and the City together. It took us probably more than a week to fix our schedules. Good thing we were both patient in waiting for the perfect time that we finally were able to watch it last Wednesday. As usual I cried but was too ashamed to show it to her. After the movie, I had stuffy nose because I was trying my best not to let that tear fall (haha stupid me). And all this while she was crying too. I didn’t notice that she was, I was too occupied putting a stop to my own sobs, darn. After the movie, she treated me to dinner at Italiani’s. The shrimp that she ordered was no longer fresh (I can smell it). We asked that the food be changed but they asked us instead to pick another one in the menu. I bet the shrimps they have in stock are no longer fresh. I can’t help but wonder, can they not tell if it’s fresh or not? Just because someone ordered it even if it’s not fresh they have to serve it? Poor quality control I must say. Anyway, they gave us free dessert, for what? I don’t know.

After dinner, I watched another film but this time with the family. I thought I would sleep in this movie thinking that I would probably be tired from watching a film earlier. But I did not, I enjoyed watching The Chronicles of Narnia (Prince Caspian).

She’s Back!

Posted by girlie on June 3, 2008

Photobucket If not for this, she could not have joined our belly dancing class. When Cuz the able Chairman texted me that she is in the province, I asked her what the specialty of that province was and I asked her to bring me some (ang kapal ng mukha ko, heehee). She took me seriously, haha as if I was not serious when I asked her. Anyway, she said that the “pasalubong” (refer to the picture) was one of the reasons why she went to Regine’s Dance Studio. Thank God He found a way to bring back my dear Cuz who is pretty much busy with her chores a Barangay Chairman to some fitness program. I truly miss her, and I’m sure everyone else misses her too. I was like jumping and screaming with joy when I saw her at the studio. Not that I didn’t expect her to be there because she texted me if I was going dancing. I on my part invited her to join us once again, but she said she’ll try. Looking forward to belly dance class with you Cuz. Let’s shimmy til we drop, hehe hindi na shop til we drop, we are past that stage. Duh!

I attended the birthday celebration/thanksgiving party of the newly elected Chairwoman (my Cuz).  She was having her victory walk with matching drums when we got to their house.  I was overwhelmed to see all the people who love her, there were a lot of people in the street to greet her.  Part of her celebration was a raffle, giving away different prices for the people in her barangay.  I was kinda teary eyed while taking pictures, I couldn’t contain my happiness seeing my beautiful cousin given a warm welcome by the people in her barangay.  She is loved!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEAR CUZ! I love you, mwah!

Despite her busy and crazy schedule, Cuz didn’t have second thoughts of accompanying me to visit the sick dad of one of my college bestfriends Y at a hospital in Las Pinas. When I told her about it, she mentioned that she wanted to go with me when I go and visit. But I didn’t know when I could come. When I sent her sms that I was going that day (Saturday) she immediately said yes. She knows my friend Y, I introduced them in 2004 when she went to SF. I picked her up and we drove all the way to Las Pinas. We were both happy to see our friend Y, but at the same time sad because of her Dad’s condition. I ask for prayers in behalf of Dad Nonoy, that the Lord will extend His healing touch upon him.

After our visit to the hospital, Cuz treated me at Pancake House at Rockwell. We had our bonding time which I soooo miss. If you notice, we have not been really going out a lot. She has been busy, and I have been busy too. And guess what takes so much of our time? Haha, doing sponsored posts ^_^ But at least we were able to take some time off and be with each other. Again for the 2nd time, we were not able to snap some photos, you know the CHAIRMAN’s mind is preoccupied these days, bwaaahhh! Love you Cuz!

janet2.JPG janet1.JPG christian1.JPG janet.JPG Cuz Marie and I went to watch the show of Janet Basco at the Captain’s Bar of the Mandarin Oriental on Friday. The show was ok, not that exceptional though, but we had a great evening. I enjoyed watching Christian Bautista (Man he was good looking! I heart him ^_^, so cuuuutee) and Sitti. Sitti looked so young, I pictured her as matured looking based on her singing voice, she’s real good with bossanova. Janet is still at her best, she was good too.

But how? How could we have forgotten to take our pictures? I only realized it when I uploaded the pictures I took of the show. Too bad, we were really “dressed” for the occassion. You can see how I looked here. I hope Cuz Marie was able to take a picture of herself coz she was really beautiful that night in her 4-inch peep toe!

**Thanks for bringing me home Cuz!

Wow! Red!

Posted by girlie on September 11, 2007

I was treated to lunch today by my fave bff Cuz Marie at Bangus, Greenhills. We have not gone out for quite sometime already (like 100 years in my time frame), so when she sms(ed) me last night asking if I wanted to meet with her, I said yes immediately. After lunch, I had my fave coffee fix at starbucks, and of course what’s next to follow? We went window shopping, I was looking for a nice peep toe and at the same time a red biggie bag. I didn’t know that she wanted to buy a red bag too. We were both lucky to find the bags that we wanted, it would have been nice if we got the same, but they only had 1 stock for each. So we ended up buying 2 different ones, almost alike but differs in size, mine is slightly bigger though, after all it’s the BIGGIE red bag I wanted!

Oh yes! BFF finally joined belly class today. I’m happy that she decided to continue dancing after 6 months. Way to go cuz! I’m overjoyed that we shall see each other at least twice a week. Let’s shimmy together…all right?

Bits and Pieces

Posted by girlie on May 11, 2007

If you noticed lately, I have been including sponsored posts in my blog. And i’m happy to share that the two posts i’ve written have been approved. Well I’m just waiting for them to mail my check (i’ll keep you posted). Since I have been endorsing a lot of products here in my site, I thought why not get paid. The funny thing when it’s a sponsored post, I find myself in front of the laptop longer than my usual almost everyday posts. Sometimes I just find it hard to endorse products, or talk about a certain sites. There are actually a lot of sponsored posts that you can take, but then again it’s very hard to write about things that you can’t relate to. If I get my first check in the amount of US$55, I promised myself to get a dot com, now isn’t that cool ^_^

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My daughter Ish decided to join me in my belly dancing class. The first time I brought her there, she had second thoughts of joining. But she made up her mind one day and now we belly dance together. I bought her two sets of costumes in Divisoria for her to use on the 18th for another recital. I was thinking of making her one, but I just don’t have the time to do it. I don’t wanna feel stressed out just like the last time. I know it’s my fault coz I’m fond of doing things at the last minute. And yeah, I don’t think her Dad will allow her to use those bra type tops that I normally go for. Now is that an excuse? ^_^
Cuz has been sharing with me this Korean brand of makeup called The Face Shop since last year. I didn’t have the time to check it out until last Tuesday when my SIL invited me to go to Serendra. I bought their eye and lips makeup remover. It’s oil free and alcohol free. I think I like it, it’s not harsh even if a little goes into your eye. I also bought their pink lipstick.
