Finally, after 9 days (which was really quick) I got what I ordered from ebay. I was sharing the excitement of waiting at my other blog, and what do I know, it got here the following day! I can’t believe it. I thought shipping would be like 3 weeks since it’s origin was the US. That’s why I really got the biggest surprise of my life when the hubs handed it to me. I love it! Less stress for my wrist when I knit. And I actually knit faster, rather than using the straight long needles. Hopefully I will be able to start on another project, although I still like to knit scarves and beanies. I promised a friend at Y!M that I’ll be making her a scarf and a beanie. But that would be for next year’s cold weather. I don’t think I can finish it anytime now. Right now, I’m finishing the scarf to match the beanie which I am giving to an “adopted” niece…hint hint ^_^

Wahoo! I’m progressing! I know how to do the basketweave now. The scarf does not look boring with this kind of texture. I’ve combined colors, but there are parts that annoy me, I guess this basketweave is for plain colors. Anyways, you be the judge. I will post a picture again once the color combi is prominent and I’ll put a mark on the part that annoys me. Maybe you can help me solve the problem. Or maybe after all you see it as a design. I need a little convincing that it goes with the design though. Oh I also need suggestions on the color combination pretty please?
*When the hubs saw my basket full of yarns, he was surprised, LOL. That is because I keep the yarns I buy from him. He thinks it’s a waste of money, because I normally start on a project but easily gets bored doing it. But this time I think I am serious with knitting. Ahhh I keep saying that, LOL.

I know I said that I won’t be buying anything connected to knitting anymore, well not for now that is. But I can’t really help it when I saw this basket (without a handle, err I don’t know what it’s called). I’ve been thinking of buying this for my yarns, which was still in the plastic bags sitting in the corner of our room. Now it’s no longer hard to look for the colors I need, I don’t need to put it all out in the bed just to be able to find the color. I wish I can find the time to knit more, but as it is I am happy knitting an hour or two a day.

I gotta hurry and finish all these scarves. Someone is leaving for the US and this would be a great opportunity to save on postage. But with all the things that I do, will I be able to finish it on time? Like I can give up all the things that I want to do. This is the problem with me, I don’t know how to manage my time basically. I want to do all things at the same time. I easily get bored if you ask me why. I tend to shift a whole lot once I get bored. Hope there is a cure for this, arrggghhh. If you say I need to prioritize things, well you are right, but then almost everything is important to me because it gives me happiness. Haha, I can’t make up my mind, grrrrr.
*Note to self: It’s easier to crochet than knit, I could have done crochet with the scarves.

Goolay, I can’t stop buying. Good thing it’s not that expensive otherwise I’d be poor as a rat. I know I promised not to buy until I finish doing the rest of my projects, but I really can’t stop myself. Now I’m thinking of starting two more since I discovered new textures in knitting. I’m excited to see the outcome that’s why I’m gonna start soon. For now I only know how to do a scarf, I haven’t explored doing other things yet, but I know I’ll get there soon. Seems like I am serious with what I’m doing, funny but it’s my relaxation.

This is harder than I thought. Yes I am used to doing projects as you can see, but this is totally different. The hook is way too big compared to the ones I use. And it does not help that instead of using thread, I used yarn this time. Oh well, I should get used to it if I want to make other projects. I have to learn more about crocheting using yarn, like buying the right kind of yarn and hook. Any tips Jen?

I bought this last Sunday at the Craft Store in Megamall. I was inspired by Jen to do crocheting again, but this time using yarn. I really envy her and her projects, I don’t think I can make such. For a start, I think I’m gonna make a table runner, just a simple one. I’ve been looking for some free patterns on the internet. I don’t even know if the size of the hook and the yarn is correct, whatever! I’ll give it a try and if I like it, maybe my next project will be an afghan. Haha, I wish!
