The Boy’s Needs

Posted by girlie on May 18, 2011

School will start in a month. This is usually the time when I buy new stuff for my boy. This does not happen every year though because sometimes there is no need to buy a new one. I only buy stuff when it does not fit him anymore. I went through his things and I found out that he needs new set of underwear. I normally buy 3 dozens to last him the whole year. If it still fits him, then he still can use it the following year. You see we need to find ways and means to stretch our budget. So for stuff that does not need replacement, I don’t usually buy. My boy has a favorite brand and I usually buy it. I don’t go for different brands anymore because he has this habit of sticking to the brand that he already tried. In this case, his current favorite now is fruit of the loom. I can understand why he likes it a lot. It’s soft to the skin. My son has very sensitive skin so he prefers soft clothing. I have tried it myself in fact I have a few undershirts of the same brand. He has tried the boys underwear already and he likes it. Hopefully I find another time to go to the mall. I hope the weather cooperates too, it’s hard to be out when it’s very sunny!

Comfortable Scrubs

Posted by girlie on October 28, 2010

I just remembered! I was once the featured blogger from the Philippines in blogspot. I was barely new to blogging then, so you can just imagine the excitement. I remember the entry I wrote and I posted a photo of myself wearing one of these nursing scrubs. Nope, not a registered nurse, not a doctor or not anything related to the medical profession. It just so happened that I discovered that these scrubs can be very comfortable even when sleeping. So I purchased a few and made it into my pyjamas. No offense meant here, I am not the only one who uses it anyway.

Her Inspiration

Posted by girlie on August 10, 2010

Daughter has been admiring fashion bloggers who wear vintage clothing. So this is the reason why she wants me to go to ukay-ukay (sort of a flea market or a vintage market) and get her some nice vintage t shirts. She wants everything vintage nowadays. This is a challenge for me, uuummm I want to be a personal shopper right? So I guess this would be my baptism of fire. Hope she does not get disappointed and yes hope she doesn’t find my purchase too mommy(ish), as I have this tendency. Sometimes I can’t stop myself from picking things that I like, rather than things that I think she’d like. I’ve been to the Baguio ukay-ukay and got myself some pieces, I’ve also been to Bambang, but Baguio is still the best I think.

Our Love for Shopping

Posted by girlie on May 8, 2010

Women in general love shopping. I do and I think I have passed it on to my daughter. She loves all things beautiful. I think we have the same tastes for clothing, although she calls my stuff mommy clothes. When I was her age, I had the same style. I normally shop for her now, and so far she likes all the stuff I pick for her. I’m going to show her this website that I discovered that sells urban clothing, I am 100 percent sure that she’ll love most of the clothes there. I too have found a lot of perfect clothes for what my daughter calls mommy clothes, yeah she calls my clothes mommy clothes and yet she borrows some of it, haha kidding!

Womens Dresses

Posted by girlie on September 2, 2009

Photobucket I just love this dress. It’s actually a sweater dress, yeah you read it right, a sweater dress. A dress perfect for a cold weather. It’s going to be autumn in countries that experience four seasons and this dress is just right. I love the style too, see the details in front? It hides my unwanted bulges. Who says you can’t dress well with bulges left and right. It’s a matter of choosing the perfect style for it. I actually found that dress while browsing some womens dresses. It caught my attention the first time I saw it online. There are more beautiful dresses that I saw but I limited myself to like only one. I don’t need to tell you the reason why, haha. Anyways, maybe you might want to take a look at these womens sweaters. I browsed through some too since my daughter Ish is fond of sweaters lately. It’s like an addiction to her. Whenever we go to the mall the first section she checks is women’s clothing particularly the sweater section. I wish I had plenty moolah since I found a few womens jackets of my liking. There’s one that I found that I really liked. The cut is just right for my physique, and the color, a nice shade of khaki. Haha I know you are already intrigued by all the descriptions I made, well I am just excited, you know.

Apple Bottom Not!

Posted by girlie on July 23, 2008

Photobucket Apple bottom jeans, boots with a par fur (personal joke between my daughter and me) not! Those jeans are not for apple bottoms, but for bulging tummy, lol. Really, I read somewhere that people with bulging tummy should wear jeans with a diagonal front pocket. Why? I don’t know really, maybe to distract people from seeing the unwanted bulges? Probably those diagonal pockets weigh down the fats in the tummy area? I think it’s true, I own those two pairs, and whenever I wear them seems like I have a flat tummy. Oh well, I should be buying more of that diagonal front pocket thingy.
