We Love the Movies!

Posted by girlie on February 4, 2009

We were are the mall again yesterday to watch Ink Heart. I know, we are a family who loves to watch movies really. It’s like we go the the cinema once or twice a week. It’s a family thing to us, yeah maybe you can call it our family bonding. I wish we had this home theater furniture at home so we don’t need to go out anymore just to watch some movies. We have a theater room, but too bad we don’t have the money yet to set it up.

A Day with the Kap

Photobucket

Photobucket Ever since she became a Barangay Captain, we haven’t been really been spending time with each other except for special occasions like birthdays. She’s been very busy and does not even have time for herself anymore. She even wrote in her blog that this is one of the things she had to give up (no choice actually) when she won the seat. Well at least she took time out to spend Dec. 26 with me and my daughter. We had a great time at Teriyaki Boy, our fave restaurant whenever in Greenhills. We didn’t go shopping together this time coz she had to buy gifts for her friends, and I was interested to go to Face Shop :-) . I went with Ish and Queenie though and did the usual thing we do whenever at Face Shop…that is a makeover.

Tired But Happy

I just got home from Trinoma. My daughter Ish chose that mall to have her pre-birthday celebration with her friends. All girls. I treated them to Super Bowl and to a movie (Smother). The movie was funny. Liv Tyler is very pretty. I love Diane Keaton too, she’s one of my favorites. I also played with my son Josh at Timezone, as usual we played Tekken 6. There were times that I won, but many times I lost. It’s fun playing with my son, bonding time. I didn’t shop for clothes since I am saving my money for that P&S camera I asked somebody to buy in Hong Kong. I think I am finally getting it. I was tempted to buy this Maxi dress that I saw, but I just closed my eyes and pretended not to see it. It was difficult, but thank God I won over some unnecessary wants.

I was touched when my daughter kissed and thanked me for the pre-birthday thingy. She said she had fun. Your welcome dahling, anything for you my daughter.

I Lost!

Photobucket Naaahhh!!!! I can’t believe it! I lost! While waiting for Wall-E, we played Tekken 6 at Timezone and I lost to the hubs, gah! Two games! Too bad it was time to watch already, I wasn’t able to redeem myself, boo! Funny how Josh reminded us not to press on the buttons too hard so the machine won’t shake. Haha, don’t talk to me, talk to him! But I am very surprised, he was so composed, not touching on the buttons too much. Oh that’s the trick and not some cheap pressing as Josh calls it. Oh maybe he was secretly memorizing the combos (cheats from the internet, LOL) when I’m not looking, he surfs in a different spot. Haha I can’t accept I got defeated. No more EC dropping, I’ll just study the combos over at the cheats, LOL.

My 3 Adopted Boys

Posted by girlie on May 8, 2008

I adopted three boys, aged 16, 13 and 9. Well just for a day. Josh wants to know how it feels like having boys in the house, well aside from his Dad. I invited his cousins to stay with us overnight. They had so much fun, playing different kinds of video games. One played Wii, the other psp, the other one was online. They requested if they all could sleep in one room. I had to pull the mattress from the guest room to put it in Josh’s room. And you know what? They slept at 3 in the morning. Today I brought them to the cinema to watch What Happens in Vegas. I was quite worried because there was a 9 year old boy with us. I felt like I committed a mistake in picking the movie…but I so wanted to watch it. N didn’t want to accompany them to watch another film which required parental guidance too. We all wanted to watch What Happens in Vegas. I guess they enjoyed the film too because I got an SMS from their Mom telling me that her boys enjoyed their overnight stay and the movie.

Now I know what it feels like having boys and an only girl.
