Until now I don’t really understand what happened to face, not that I had flawless complexion before but it did not look like what it looks like now. I have open pores, spots, and visible blood vessels, add to that a very oily skin. Now I understand why, it comes with age. The protective layer of the skin called Stratum Corneum does not replace itself in days anymore, but several weeks. Unlike the kids, their protective layer replaces itself every few days. Oh, no wonder kids have very good skin and complexion.
We can actually achieve that or if not very close to it. I found this product called Epionce, and it will bring back to life our skin. Haha, as if it’s dead, well lets just say that we will have a more healthy skin. Epionce repairs skin that is damaged through time. It gives the ability to repair itself. They have products for different skin type, so there is one for everybody. Their products provide superb moisturization and skin conditioning that is why it will help improve redness and irritation. I normally experience redness and irritation maybe because I don’t really moisturize. How can I when I have super oily skin. But even then, I think I should still moisturize every other day. Epionce is actually very easy to use, just follow the 5 simple steps. You say what? 5 steps? Yeah 5 steps, imho no product can improve your skin in just one step. Now if you want to have the skin of a baby, just simply follow the steps. You will be amazed by the results and all that hard work will pay off.

I bought this skin care tool designed to extract blackheads and whiteheads. I bought this specifically for Ish, she has a lot of whiteheads and blackheads on her nose. I don’t think she can have facials as early as now, she’s only 14 years old. What I do, I wet a face towel with warm water and place it for like 3 minutes on her nose, to soften and moisten the skin. After which I start removing gently the whiteheads and blackheads. So far I did well. It’s not all gone, but at least it was minimized. I don’t want to be rough on her skin, I’m just scared. I might end up ruining her face.

Bad hair day(s)…that’s what I’m having now. I hate it coz I can’t go wash and wear. Last night I started another DIY thingie again. It’s cellophane this time, and I was advised by a friend to do it on a weekly basis. I hate the smell though, but for my hair to get back in shape, I have to endure it. I hope it really works, coz it did to my friend’s hair. Maybe in between I have to do some hot oil treatment too. I don’t like to blow dry nor iron my hair everyday.

We are always in constant search for something that will take away our age. Or should I put it this way, we are in search of something that will make us look young and beautiful. I admit, I have been spending a lot of time leafing through pages of magazines, or searching the net for a particular product that I think would work well on me. I am not ashamed to admit, but I am in search for the top wrinkle cream. Not that I have a lot really, but it’s starting to appear. And before it gets noticeable, I just want to do something about it, thus the search.

I finally had the time to do my nails, in between doing sponsored posts. Yeah I am crazy, but I was able to do it. It’s not that clean though, but it’s good enough. Honestly, I like painting my own nail art rather than putting on stickers. I don’t know but my own design is more visible, and colorful too. Oh I can do it alternately, so next time you see my nail art it’s custom made by me. Btw, I also placed one on my toes, it didn’t look good, looked more like fungus or something, lol.

I’ve been doing my own nailart for a couple of years now. I was once keen on doing it really that I change nail art almost every week. Then all of a sudden I lost interest. I didn’t want to paint my nails anymore. I tried doing it once but I am just too lazy doing it again. I’ve been painting my nails for about a month anlready but sans the art. When I went to Face Shop, I saw nice cutie nail stickers, I bought 2 sets and I’m gonna try using it. I also found a nice color of polish which is dark brown. I hope I am not too lazy today to do it. I really ? nail art!

I saw her wearing it when we had coffee on Good Friday. I was quite distracted and I couldn’t focus on what she was saying. I thought she had lash extensions, but when she said that it was just the falsies she bought in The Face Shop, I promised myself to get one of those. And you know what? It took me until 2:30 in the morning just practicing how to put it properly just so it would look natural.
So here it is, not so perfect yet, it’s actually my first time. But hey, my niece noticed it and she was like “Tita (Auntie) you really have long eyelashes!” And with that I batted my eyelashes even more, lol.

Let’s talk about something women are interested about. Isn’t it that it is every woman’s dream to look youthful all the time? I am guilty of that. Hhmm I don’t think guilty is the right word. Oh forget it, all I know is I want to be beautiful all the time and I want to maintain youthfulness as much as possible. This is what Dr. Chantal Burnison, a biochemist had in mind probably, when she started working on Ethocyn. Ethocyn is scientifically proven to help fight skin aging. If you noticed, this is one of the components used by some popular brands in their anti-aging products. Oh no, I think I should be using this already because based on studies, elastin level decreases once you reach age 40. If you want to know more about it, do visit Chantal Pharmaceuticals to have a better understanding of Ethocyn.

I’d like to remain beautiful in this lifetime! I think we all say that. Nobody wants to be ugly. Quite sad but I don’t think everyone is blessed with that. We have been trying out different products and procedures just to be able to remain beautiful physically. Ah, no wonder quite a lot of women I know undergo procedures. Here is a website that can help you maintain that youthful glow. It’s a medical spa in Atlanta that has the latest state of the art technology to revitalize your skin, add fullness and definition to your lips and face and a lot more. When I saw that add fullness and definition to lips, I was like whoa this is what I want. I’ve been trying really hard to add fullness to my lips by putting a gloss that has a sting on it ^_^. Visit the website to find our more about the procedures that can help you remain beautiful.

I had the time early this week to go to The House of Obagi at Trinoma. I want to consult the dermatologist first before using Obagi. She noticed the skin around the lip area. She asked me what type of toothpaste I am using. When she found out, she said I might be allergic to one of the common components of the toothpaste. So she recommended me to use VMV Hypoallergenic toothpaste. I have to observe though, if toothpaste is the cause of this peri-oral contact dermatitis. If you noticed in my pictures, there’s always those stubborn unsightly zits, around my lip area.

Obagi Nu-Derm Transformation System:
Foaming Gel (Cleanser) 6.7 fl oz
Toner 6.7 fl oz
Clear 2.0 oz (Rx only)
Exfoderm Forte 2.0 oz
Blender 2.0 oz (Rx only)
Sunfader 2.0 oz (Rx only)
Healthy Skin Protection SPF 35 1.0 fl oz
For the last couple of months, I’ve been contemplating on using the Obagi Nu-Derm Transformation System. It was actually the price that has been keeping me from trying it. But now that I have extra moolah, the decision came fast ^_^. I’ve seen how effective it is and I’m encouraged to try it out as early as now. N even mentioned that it is a lot cheaper compared to cosmetic surgery. Woohoo, I have his permission to use it =) I’m quite excited about the idea, I already asked a friend of my MIL to buy it for me in Singapore. Yeah it’s a lot cheaper there, I think I will be able to save something like 2,000 pesos. If she gets our sms, I’m gonna get the product by thursday or friday this week. Wish me luck, I hope I will be able to get the rejuvination I soooo need.

Today we went to the mall to have our monthly facial. Yipee, it’s now a regular thing. The same lady did my face, and I really like her a lot. She has a good disposition and a happy aura. Imagine getting a stressout lady, haha, then it’s gonna be my last facial ^_^. Until now I still can’t bear the pain when she starts pricking, but it is compensated by the facial massage she gives me, gosh it’s heavenly, I feel more relax than ever. I had my humungous pimple injected too. This is the first time that I had this, yes it’s really big and kinda swollen. I hope it will be gone by tomorrow, if not I’m gonna have it injected again.

My uncle says he is well known for doing hair transplant surgery. Meet Dr. Lawrence J. Shapiro, owner of Dr. Shapiro Hair Institute. He has been in practice for some 18 years now. He is actually a dermatologist but specializes exclusively in hair transplant in south florida. He is the first doctor to do “strip incision”, and the 1st doctor in the Southern US to do micro-mini grafts. He has done more than 10,000 satisfied patients in his almost 18-year career. When you call for an appointment, you are sure to meet Dr. Shapiro himself because he does not have any salesman. He has a wonderful and highly trained and experienced medical staff. His team are there to support you through the entire hair transplant process. I was surprised to find out that this procedure is out-patient. You will be able to go home and go back to your activities on that same day they did the procedure. And here’s a bit of good news. His Hair Institute offers interest free payment plan. And not only that, if you call them and make an appointment to schedule your free consultation, they will give you 100 free grafts. Isn’t that great?

It’s nice that people nowadays are getting more conscious about their health and appearance. That has never been a problem with me really, because early in life I was exposed to living the healthy way. Anything that I can get my hands on especially if it’s about health and aging, I really grab it. I also have this fondness of looking for products that help stop the signs of ageing. Call me vain or whatever, but I definitely would like to age gracefully. Just a while back, I stumbled upon this product in the internet called Waiora. Its focus is towards fighting the primary causes of aging. I like their philosophy for healthy living and aging, REMOVE, RESTORE & REPLENISH. REMOVE, meaning remove all the pollutants, toxins and chemicals that have accumulated which can accelerate the aging process. REPLENISH the nutrients that we are not able to have because of not eating healthy. Much as we want to eat healthy, there are just times that we don’t, due to a lot of constraints. RESTORE the health and radiance of your skin at a cellular level. These are the three steps we need in order to fight the signs of aging. There’s also one thing I found out while browsing their website. They offer a business opportunity if you sign up. This is your chance to achieve your financial goals by being part of their team. Capitalize on the trend and start earning your own keep.

I just came across this product called hoodia, it’s a diet pill that helps suppress a person’s appetite therefore promotes weight loss. Hoodia is a plant that looks like a cactus, it contains Hoodia Gordonii, an element known to have a natural botanical ability to suppress appetite. Remember, hoodia is not effective once it is mixed with other components. It should have sufficient amount of hoodia concentrate in order for it to be effective. Be very careful when it comes to buying this product, read hoodia’s buying guide.

We finally found time today to go for our facials. It’s suppose to be a monthly thing, but we missed out on August because of our busy schedules. Good news! They got a little white heads today, compared to July’s which was really yucky, black and white heads combined. Today I had deep cleansing with collagen mask, they say collagen is to firm the facial muscles. Last July I had deep cleansing too but with seaweed mask for open and large pores. They suggest that I go alternate, they only recommend this two facials for me. She suggested too that I go for power peel, well I have to think it over because it’s kinda pricey, I still have to save for that. I don’t think N will treat with me a power peel.
Reminder: If you can, you might also want to have monthly facials, it helps especially now that we’re getting a little, you know what ^_^ It’s not actually vanity, but just taking care of your skin.

I’ve been tag by MommyBa to write about my sense of vanity. Just like the rest , I also took the test. I can’t believe I’m 47% vain only, but yeah come to think of it, I don’t think I’m really vain.
| You Are 47% Vain |

You’re a little vain, but more than anything you have a healthy amount of confidence.
Thinking the world of yourself is great. Just don’t think less of those who aren’t as pretty as you! |
How Vain Are You?
My 7 Beauty/Vanity/Fashion sense Facts:
1. Latest are my lashes. As much as possible I want to have a “betty boop” look. If I’m already late for my appointment, I bring my curlash and mascara, work on my lashes at stop lights.
2. I prefer to use Mineral Makeup eversince I discovered it. The brand I like is Young Blood for reasons that it is available here in Manila. But I still use Lancome for eye color, coz I only have a few choices of mineral eyeshadows.
3. I hate bad hair days. Since I do a lot of DIYs, I do my own hot oil treatment at least twice a month. Aside from the hair repair system (shampoo, conditioner) I use, I put leave on conditioner (Infusium). If you see my hair pulled in a bun/pony, it’s bad hair day ^_^
4. I always look at the mirror and check on my tummy. If I feel bloated, I do suck/blow, a technique I learned from belly class.
5. I like wearing expensive jeans, the fit is just perfect.
6. I sweat a lot, and when I do, it shows. It leaves a disgusting sight especially in the underarm area. So I surfed the net for products that help control excessive underarm sweating. I asked my sister in the US to buy it for me. The brand is Maxim. Just be careful when putting it, it’s too strong and can be harsh, can give you rashes and dark underarms. I seldom use it now.
7. I used to practice smiling in front of the mirror or have my photos taken at different angles, different smiles. Now I know my perfect angle, the angle that I look beautiful, the angle that makes my nose look taller, the perfect opening of the eyes to make it sexy or something.
Now tell me, that vanity test I took is…(go figure)
I’d like to know your secrets too, so I’m tagging:
1. Cuz the certified sweet and vain lady
2. Justice
3. Chesca
4. Francine
5. Leena
6. Shireen
