Stroller that Grows with the Family…Cool!

Posted by girlie on July 8, 2010

Photobucket This is cool! I can’t help but share because I am amused by how far baby stuff have become. Take for example that Baby jogger city select stroller. We don’t have this kind about 17 years ago when I had my first child, well none that I know of. Look what has become of a simple stroller now, really amazing. Kudos to that person who thought of such things. Now I have an idea what to get when I have grandchildren of my own, but that would be far from now.

Baby Stuff

There was a time I got really hooked to baby bedding, well I am still, but not baby bedding anymore, but instead… should I call it “adult” bedding? Haha sounds a little funny but yeah. My kids are all grown up already and I miss buying baby stuff. I just love looking at them, with all the cute designs and wonderful baby colors. That is why whenever I am invited to a baby shower or a birthday party, I kinda reminisce those days when I used to shop for my babies and it makes me happy. Oh I’m too young to be a grandmommy and I am not soooo looking forward to it. Meanwhile let me just play the role of an aunt or perhaps and godmother.

Things for the Babies

I want you guys to check out these baby cribs. It can glide side to side which I believe can put your babies to sleep a little faster. I had the steady one and what I normally do is rock the baby to sleep in my arms before putting them on the crib. If there was one available at that time, I would have gotten it. It’s less work for me and the nanny especially if the babies are on the heavy side. I so envy the Moms of this generation, they have a lot more beautiful stuff than during my time. Take for example these highchairs. They are so colorful and nice to look at. During my time, it was quite boring since it was soooo plain. I can say that the production of high chairs nowadays is beautifully done. The backrest is adjustable already, and I love the idea of having a storage basket under it. Haha, these products wants me to bear kids again. I wish I could, but as it is I can’t have kids at this time anymore. Ah I can proudly say that I was able to buy one of these travel cots. It’s sturdy and of good quality. Would you believe I was able to pass it on to my brother? Yeah, his 3 kids were able to use it, and if one family member would need it, they can still use it. I prefer to buy good quality stuff, never mind if it’s a little bit pricey compared to the other brands. Come to think of it, it can be passed on and in the end if I was not able to save from buying it, the next ones who will use it don’t need to buy, it’s great savings after all. What do you think?

Baby Stuff

Photobucket I bought a similar crib about 14 years ago for my eldest daughter. Two years later, my son was able to use it. Now it’s with my brother, his 3 kids were able to use it as well. See how these baby cribs are sturdy. Five babies were able to use it, and until now it’s still with my brother. I wonder who’s gonna use it next.

Honestly I like buying baby stuff. I remember looking for cute and colorful pushchairs and the one I bought would always solicit comments. They would always ask where I bought it. At that time, colorful strollers were not that big here yet. I can say that I was one of the few who had a really nice pushchair. We would often bring it with us anywhere we go, because it’s comfortable for the baby lying there and comfortable too for the nanny who just needs to push it around. A baby can have a more sound sleep rather than being carried in the arms while walking. I find the pushchair really helpful. And oh I remember buying one the travel cots too, but had it permanently at my Mom’s house. You see every weekend we visit them and we bring the babies along. Up until now, even if my eldest is already 14, we still go to my Mom’s weekly. Again my brother was able to use the cot and made it more like a playpen for their kids. Ahhh, life was exciting back then, well it still is until now with my growing teenagers. But now is a different story.
