Whenever I am in the kitchen to cook, the first thing I check is our petroleum hose. It’s no joke trying to work in the kitchen and all of a sudden accidents occur. So before all this happens I do a check. When I am not the one working in the kitchen and I smell something, I immediately call the attention of the person. I ask her to turn off the gas right away and check on the tank and the hose. It’s better to be safe than sorry all the time. Let us always do our part so no accidents can happen, it can be avoided you know.

My son does not get why his Dad smokes a lot. He’s been asking him to quit for how many years now. I told him that it isn’t that easy to quit especially if he has been smoking for a long time already. Then he said, why you? You were able to quit the habit. I told him that I also had a hard time quitting and I have attempted a lot of times before I finally did. Anyway the conversation led into him wanting to try cigar when he’s legal to do it. I don’t know much about cigars but I’ve seen a lot of people talk about dominican cohiba cigars online. I wonder if this is the best cigar one can try for the first time. I think this brand is kinda famous to people who are into cigars.

Yay! Finally the daughter got her Driver’s License. It was her brother who got really excited. Josh found out about it on his way home from school. He ran to the room of his sister and asked the sister to bring him around. I really love the kind of relationship they have. They used to fight a lot when they were younger, I mean really fight like physical fighting. I’m glad that those days are now over. Today they are very loving towards each other. I often hear them say “I ? you” to each other. Thank you Lord for guiding me and helping me raise my children well.

I went to a nail spa this morning and right across the shop was a gym for women. I kinda got interested when I saw their tarpaulin. It advertised the famous circuit training. To those who are not familiar with this yet, it a total body workout in just 30 minutes. It claims that it can burn fat and therefore aids in weight loss. I wonder if it works like these fat burners.
The thing is, I don’t think I have the energy to do a total body workout in just 30 minutes. I find it a bit strenuous. I haven’t tried it yet but thinking about it, it makes me tired already.

Whenever I see a mother carrying a baby using a baby carrier, I begin to envy her. Then I ask myself, why didn’t I have one when my kids were still babies? I can’t really say that it was not the in thing at that time because other people would say otherwise. But really, if I only saw some people using this ergo baby carrier, it would have given me the idea. It was hard carrying the baby around, very tiresome. That would have been a welcome treat for me and the nanny.

I am back to knitting and I am almost done with bucket hat number 1 for my niece. Daughter Ish is asking me to make her one too and she picked a beige color. Hopefully I can get to finish it because we are somewhat planning to have something big this summer. Hopefully it pushes through cause we are both excited already.

Do you see the need for an auto insurance? For a while I didn’t believe in them. I live in a country that does not really require auto insurance. Now if you ask me why I didn’t believe in it, it has always been at the back of my mind that I am a very careful driver. I forgot to see the fact that there are crazy drivers out in the streets. That made me really think. It’s too much of a hassle when accidents happen. It causes a hole in the pocket too and if you are not prepared for it, then you won’t be able to have it fixed. I can imagine those RVs who don’t have insurance. It’s their home and what’s going to happen if they don’t have the money for repairs and maintenance? So it’s really a must to have motorhome insurance, or should I say it’s a must for any form of vehicle to have insurance so that when anything happens, no problem will arise.

I am too dependent on the internet, everyone is anyway! Whenever I want to check or to find out about something, first thing I do is check the internet. It’s very useful I may say because almost all that is needed is there. It saves up a lot of time and it saves money sometimes too. I’ve learn to use the internet for everything, from recipes down to prices of commercial pumps. I’m known to be an internet junkie. I even receive calls from my friends and loved ones, asking me to check on anything under the sun. I think that is my talent, helping people find out about something, some sort of a researcher and I’m loving every bit of it.

My daughter and I went to S&R yesterday to buy stuff that are not seen in the regular grocery that we go to. Yeah there are items that can be bought only at S&R like the salt that I use and some other stuff. We went through every aisle and that’s where I found that cutting board. I was already checking on it and was planning on buying it but when I saw the price (P1,999), my my I can’t afford it. I placed it back on the rack with a heavy heart. I told myself to save up so that on my next trip to S&R, I will be able to buy it. Oh there was another product by Kitchenaid that I wanted to buy, but just the same it was way beyond my budget.

I think I got my cooking skills from my mother. Almost all the girls in the family cook well. I remember Mom teaching us when we were little. We started out with the preparation like slicing and all. She made sure that our slicing skills were excellent. She is very particular about the uniform slices. Up until now, she still is. Anyway since mother’s day is approaching, I found some unique mother’s day gifts that I can give my Mom. I think she would really appreciate it if she got this personalized serving dish that say’s “Preciosa’s Specialty”. I myself would want to have one. (*hint *hint). I hope my daughter gets to read this so can have it soon. Can’t wait to use it.
