Evil shoes! I should put myself in a shoe ban. That gladiator heels makes me want to go to Forever21 first thing tomorrow morning! Darn! It’s so pretty and the color? Oh I don’t have that color yet which justifies my want. I will have to show this to my daughter so my purchase will all the more be validated since we share the same size. I know she’d love it and would want to rush to the store too. I hope it’s affordable like all the other items there so there’s more reason to buy. Promise after this I’m going to put myself in a shoe ban.

I got sick recently and for about a week. I lost my appetite to eat and that only means one thing. I lost about a pound of two or even more and I am happy about it. It’s effortless you know, as what my son refers to every time he sees that he lost some weight without even trying. Anyway looks like there is no need to take one of these weight loss pills for me. I gotta put it on hold until such time that I have fully decided to use it. Probably when I get frustrated again with my love affair with the weight.

A lot of us have been encouraged to invest in gold. I for one would really invest in gold provided I have the money for it. Nobody needs to convince me since I have seen it with my two eyes. A family member once invested in gold and it brought him to where he is right now. There is one piece of advice I want to share to those once who want to invest. Just be careful on who you deal with. In this internet age, any body can pose as dealer and before you know it, you are scammed. I heard that the United States Gold Bureau can help out investors find a reputable gold dealer. They have been doing that for more than a hundred years already. If you plan on investing in gold bullion, they are the best ones to talk to. They would also gladly assist even those who are interested to learn more about the investment.

Thank God I was able to attend my Aunt’s 90th birthday celebration at the Manila Hotel. Nanay Loleng as we fondly call her is the only surviving sister of my Mom. That’s them in the first picture. It was a wonderful celebration with lots of food even more than enough for everyone. They also had a photobooth where unlimited shots was being offered, so everyone had fun even the olds.
I pray that the Lord will continue to bless my Aunt and my Mom longer life, and that they continue to be strong and healthy.

It’s the ber months already and it means only one thing here in the Philippines. It’s the start of the Christmas season. Too early and crazy you might think, but it’s true. You can already hear Christmas carols being played in the radio, in the malls and the tv stations are even doing a countdown. This is also the time to think about what to give to your clients for Christmas. One of my friends in high school have started offering her products to companies here and she was able to close a few big deals. I wonder if she offers promotional tote bags. I forgot to ask what her other products were. Anyway if I had a business and will require promo items, I’d gladly pick the bag because I can see that this one is very useful compared to the other giveaways I get.

I don’t have my own computer right now. I’m just using my son’s laptop and whenever he has a new game either in PS3 or PSP I am so happy. It means that I can use his computer as long as I want. I pity myself sometimes when I can’t use it because I beg. He lets me use it though, but I need to wait for him to finish what he is doing whether school related or not. I wish we had extended laptop warranty here in the Philippines. We do have but you need to get a Mac which is beyond my budget. You see my laptop died on me after a year and a half only. Sucks right? I’m not getting that brand anymore. I only chose it because my first laptop was of the same brand and it served me for more than 5 years, in fact I can still use it until now. It does not have wifi that is why I opted to get a new one, and of the same brand thinking that it was the most durable brand. But I was wrong. Now I am saving up for a Mac, I wonder when I can buy it, hopefully soon.

I am a very observant person, I look and watch people around me. I do mind my own business though. Anyway, I took the LRT this morning and focused on a lady who started putting makeup. I see a lot of this kind of scene whenever I ride the train. What I noticed with this girl is her expertise in putting mascara. She wasn’t scared at all that she can poke her eye anytime. The train in not that steady. I think she is used to it already because she didn’t have a hard time. Another thing I noticed is how she put it on. She wasn’t contented with a single or double coat, she spent about 5 minutes doing her lashes. Oh so this is how it is done if you want it to look nice. Haha, fruitful day coz I learned something new. I’m gonna try her technique to see if it works on me.

Haha, I just find it a little bit funny. I’m not really used to seeing or knowing that men have issues too, and they try to do something about it. But seriously speaking, I think this is the most important for them. It’s like they don’t have any use anymore once they lose it. Others lose it at a young age, well not so young age, but it can be an effect to an overdose of drugs probably. Ok, since you men want to perform better, I suggest that you do a little study or a little comparison of what you are taking. Looks like everyone wants to stay in shape nowadays. Good for those ones who really do not need to shed off extra weight but just need a little toning. But what about people on the heavy side? Initially I wanted that color, but too bad it got out of stock right away. I asked my friend Anna to buy it for me in France, and it was a good decision since I was able to get a big discount. Here in the Philippines, they sell it at a little over P7000 I think, but guess what? I was able to buy it at P4500 more or less. Thanks Anna for accommodating my request.
It’s the black one that was available. Pardon the picture, I just used my camera phone plus the car was moving at that time I took the photo. The black one is pretty too and it can actually go with anything. I love the patches too =)

Why are we so conscious about our appearance? Is it just us girls? Do men worry about how they look too? I guess they do especially nowadays. A lot of men are into fitness, aiming to make their bodies beautiful. They mostly spend time in the gym and some are watchful of their diet. I don’t know if those fat guys opt for diet pills too, as I have yet to meet a guy who takes diet pill to lose weight. Most often, it’s really the women who go out of their way. Now if you want to know what is the best diet pill for women, the best person to ask is a woman. She’d probably know what works for men too.

Seriously I want to have a body similar to a female body builder, not the ones who look like men already, but someone who still looks feminine despite the muscles. But how can I obtain that when I hate lifting weights? I do a little weights on the side when I go to the gym, like prolly twice a week but is that enough? Others suggest that I have protein drinks so it can help build the muscles that I want. I’m not sure though if I do get all the protein my body needs in a day. I have to look into this so it wouldn’t post a problem when I start having my protein supplements.

My daughter got her schedule for her finals for the 1st semester. Just as I though, the schedule I got from DFA for the renewal of her passport falls on one of her exam dates. Good thing I anticipated it and chose 3:30 as the appointment time. Her exams end at 11 am so we still have ample time to have lunch and proceed to DFA. My son is also renewing his passport, but I don’t know the schedule of his 2nd grading periodical tests. I hope it does not fall on the same day, or if ever I hope by that time he’ll only have classes in the morning too.
Why is it so hard to get or renew a passport? Other countries can release the passport on the same day you applied. I wonder when will this ever happen in this country!

I have fixed the clutch of my car, so there is no reason for the daughter not to learn driving. She’s going to have her semestral break this October and we are going to use this break to teach her to drive. Nope I am not enrolling her to a driving school just yet, but I will teach her the basic of driving first. Oh this reminds me to check online insurance quotes for my car since the current insurance will expire soon. This is the time that it will be badly needed since she will be using my car too until she turns 18. She said she’s not gonna have a debut party or a grand celebration. She opts for a car instead.

My cousin-in-law was advised to quit smoking. Since it is so hard for him to do so, he shifted to cigars. I wonder if he was able to taste Black and Mild already. I have to ask him when I see him since this one should be mild, well based on the name though. Although cigar is not really an alternative to cigarette, but I guess this is less harmful. Correct me if I am wrong on this, this is just my opinion. I haven’t done any research on this, it just popped up out of nowhere.

Someone gave me this book which I refused to read, for what reason I don’t know. Or let’s put it this way, I am not yet ready to go very healthy when it comes to intake and all. For one, the book says that “If you can’t eat it, don’t put it on your skin.” Sounds simple but when you think of it, you’d go whadda? Right? Man that’s hard. There are components/ingredients of skin products that can’t be eaten for sure, but I need it!!! I can’t go natural with lotions, with deodorants if you know what I mean. I don’t know but seriously if you go organic all the way it’s going to be very expensive, so this is the other reason why I refuse to read the book in it’s entirety.

If there’s one thing I made sure when we built this house was to put this kind of cabinet locks. I don’t want to go through what happened to us a few years back. We were too trusting and we didn’t put cabinet locks. Some jewelry were stolen, money was stolen, and some other things that I don’t like to find out anymore were stolen too. It was done by one of our helpers, and yes I didn’t see her capable of doing it. She was like an angel but deep inside she was the exact opposite. Good thing I found out earlier so not much damage was really done. At least she was not able to steal everything we owned.

What’s so interesting about gold nowadays? Why do they keep on saying that gold is the best and the safest investment? It’s probably because gold has been around for thousands of years already. Everyone seems to be fascinated by gold coins, me included. To others, this is the best way to preserve their wealth and I think this has been going on for centuries already. To many, gold is here to stay because of the fact that it will never lose it’s value. If you notice, it’s price either remains the same or will go up. Let me just tell you that the easiest and the most common way of owning gold is through gold coins. If you want a sure and safe investment, better start buying gold now. You know for a fact that the prices continue to climb.

I got that for my daughter at Payless in Megamall. I’m used to buying her 6.5 but surprisingly she is a size 6. I need to return it on Sunday because of the 7 day return policy. Good thing we go to church at CCF so it’s not much of a hassle. When daughter learned about it, she went to the website and found a pair that she likes. Hopefully she finds it in the store. What’s nice about the shops being brought here from the US is that they have whatever current stocks they have in the US. It wasn’t like that before. They used to send items that were not sold in the US, so that means items from 2 years back, sucks right? But that is no longer the case now, well at least for Forever21 and Payless.

It’s been a dream of mine to have a beautiful bathroom. I grew up in a house with a very simple bathroom. I find it simple now because there were new styles that came out which I find very modern, not that it’s not simple. Anyway part of the dream bathroom is one of these glass sinks. I’m glad I made the right choice. It made my bathroom even more beautiful, thus making it the bathroom that I liked to have. When I was looking for some bathroom designs, I thought the things that I saw was beyond my budget. Little did I know that it was actually affordable provided you know where to look for it. It just amazes me that we were able to make my dream bathroom even with a budget that we had to work around.

I want to go back to work, in a corporate setting that is. The kids are all grown up, not that I am done taking care of them, but I think they can now take care of themselves. My sister-in-law once asked me if I was interested in a healthcare job because it can be lucrative. She should know because she is into this kind of field. I’ve witnessed how she’s earned too and I think that yeah it can be a lucrative job. I haven’t really thought about it, but I want to give it a try, who knows I will be one of those successful people earning large sum of money. This reminds me to work on my CV first.

I was in my artsy fartsy mood yesterday and decided to do nail art. I have been postponing it for no reason at all. Well I gave my nails a week to breathe supposedly, but it reached more than a month. I had to move my lazy butt and do some nail art once again. That was what I came up with. I got the idea from someone on tumblr who did a compilation of different kinds of beautiful nail art.
I was debating whether or not to make it matte. Yeah matte would do since people are used to seeing glossy nails. I want to be different sometimes…oh make that most of the time.

Sure diamond is a girl’s best friend as they say, but I’d rather have gold. I don’t know if you are like me but I like investing in gold whether in jewelry or in any other form. Right now my gold is in the form of jewelry but I also have a gold coin given to me by my father-in-law. I’m keeping it to give to my daughter when she’s a bit older. What about my son you might ask, his Dad can take care of that, he has one too.
Anyway, did you know that gold has been used for centuries in preserving one’s wealth? This is still being practiced until now. This is probably the reason why gold is a popular safe investment. It’s safe in the sense that it is highly liquid. It can be disposed of anytime. If you are badly in need, gold can come to the rescue. I’ve seen someone in this kind of situation and I can say that it has helped them a lot. I have actually learned a lesson or two with what I have witnessed. One is that if I have money, it’s wise to invest in gold. My father-in-law mentioned this to us too and his reason is the price of gold. In all it’s history, the price either remains the same or goes up.

My son’s computer used to be really fast. We bought it last year and I can’t believe it has gotten a bit slow now. Someone told me that the cause of this the computer memory. I probably need an upgrade if I want it to be fast again. Of course who wants a slow computer especially if you happen to get used to a fast one. Sometimes I don’t get it, why is an upgraded needed so soon? It’s a good thing that computer memory is not really that expensive, we can do something about it anytime.

I feel something on my right lower back. The pain is bearable but I am alarmed. It’s the first time that I felt this kind of pain. It’s nothing like the back pains I felt before. It comes and goes, not really sure of the intervals. Hopefully it goes away tomorrow. I am actually scared, I don’t want to find out that I am sick or anything. I hope I just got this from too much aerobics. I’ll observe the pain for a day or two and if it does not go away, I think I will have to go see the doctor.
