If you really know me, by now you know that I love drinking tea. I have it every night before I go to bed. If I can have afternoon tea with friends, I’d do that and I can even host one. But the thing is we are not used to having this afternoon tea dates. I can start a trend, I think most Moms would love doing that especially those who are just staying at home. I can start off by serving my favorite tea. It’s been a favorite of mine since I started loving tea. Now you know what to give me on Christmas *wink! Yeah, come to think of it, it would make a wonderful gift idea, together with a fruit cake. I’d be happy to receive one especially with these two combo. Imagine having your friends come over for tea and fruit cake, ah pure bliss. This would also make a good gift idea for those persons whom you are having a hard time picking presents for them. They would gladly appreciate it. In my opinion, I’d rather receive these kinds of gifts, Christmas crackers included rather than receiving things that I can’t use. This is one of the “safest” gifts one person can think of especially if you don’t have any idea what to give.

It’s getting scarier and scarier each day. Seems like it’s not as safe to live in this world anymore. You see it in the news, people talk about it, you hear it on the radio. Thieves break in, and they are not scared. Now are you prepared? That’s one thing I always make sure. I use deadbolt lock so that it’s not as easy to break in. Sometimes it is our own doing why thieves can break in. Let us do our part and make our houses secure. Don’t you want to have a good night’s rest not worrying about someone breaking in? Then it’s about time that you take care of your locks at home.

I can’t believe it. Time indeed flies fast. My daughter Ish is now 17? Oh no! I still remember carrying her in my arms, dressing her up like a dolly when she was still a toddler, combing her hair into pigtails when she was in elementary and ironing her hair in High School. Now that she is in College, it’s now putting on eyeliner. Yeah, that is our bonding moment and we get to talk about anything under the sun. I really really thank the Lord that I have a lovely daughter, a daughter that is respectful, a daughter that brings me joy all the time, a daughter who loves the Lord, a daughter who can be a loyal friend (she’s my bestest friend), and the list is endless. I love you my darling doll!

If you have the money, would you invest in gold? I would because this is considered to be a safe investment. This is probably the reason why gold is a very popular investment. Investing in gold has been recognized for centuries already. Gold has been a universal currency and it can also be a means of exchange. This is so because gold coins are highly liquid meaning buying and disposing can happen anytime and very quickly too. Gold is also one way of preserving once’s wealth and this can be passed from generation to generation. While money fluctuates and devalues, I have yet to hear the price of gold going down. Normally it stays at the same price or goes up. Oh no wonder a lot of people say that it preserves wealth.
Gold on the other hand can help solve financial crisis. I have a friend who was really financially low at one point and she was glad she had the gold to help her back to her feet. I actually helped her dispose so I can definitely say that it’s worth investing in gold. You can start small in the beginning, through the years you will not notice that you “little” investment has grown.

I really didn’t expect it to happen. Yes the husband knew that I wanted to have my own car. I have been vocal about it. I had a car to drive but it was owned by the in-laws. Some of you may not understand why I want to have my own car when in fact I already drive one, a car that was assigned to me. Not that I wasn’t contented with it, but in reality I was, it was a pretty nice car. Now why? I just wanted to have my own, plain and simple. I can do whatever I want to do with it, but of course I left it in the hands of the husband who set it up to look like a 4×4 who joins those wild dune rides. I actually told him that I just wanted a nice tire and I didn’t have any idea that the rims have to be replaced too. He explained to me that it has to be changed because of the size of the tire that I picked. Oh ok, sorry I know nothing about setting up a car. If you happen to see my car now, it’s one of a kind in fact it’s the only car that you see around the metro with that kind of setup. Yeah I am thankful to the husband for making my vehicle look cool. Oh I almost forgot, he got it for my birthday 7 years ago.

Congratulations Venus Raj! Come on, yes you people. Do you think you could have done it better? Seriously stop making fun of her answer. She’s gone this far, aren’t you happy about it? I know, why am I so affected while Venus on the other hand plays it cool. She is truly my Miss Universe, still composed despite it all.

I’ve been a stay-at-home Mom for about 5 years now. Yes I do get bored too because I have been used to working, a few years in the corporate world and a few years managing our business. Right now I take care of the family. I see to it that most of their needs are met. Now that the kids are older, I think I can go back to working or probably do some business. Since I am so fond of fashion, I was thinking of going into the retail business. I can make use of these wholesale rhinestone handbags for a start, then probably venture into the clothing business. Well anything related to fashion would do. I checked on these wholesale cross belts and I think I have a market for that. I wonder if the husband will agree with me or if he will support this thing that I want to go into. I really think that I can make good. I am so into fashion and I would like to share the stuff that I like and probably make this country one of the fashion capitals. High hopes you might say, but yes I think I can do it. Now take a look at these wholesale patchwork purses, it’s beautiful right? I’d start with a few things here and there then eventually expand.

I finally bought the boy his violin. He’s been bugging me since last summer to let him take violin lessons. He wants to learn how to play a musical instrument particularly the violin before he dies. That’s what he told me. I am as excited as he is. I can’t wait for him to be able to play his first piece. I think he will learn fast because I really see the interest in him. Hopefully he’ll love it more and develop a passion for it.

I want to have my very own camcorder. The one that the family is using died down already. No one to blame, it’s been with us for a long time already and it has recorded a lot of beautiful memories of us during our travels. The daughter has one and I have helped her choose. But before that, I was reading a lot of camcorder reviews before I finally decided to purchase. I was choosing between a Mini-DV camcorder and a HDD camcorder. I didn’t know what to pick as I was clueless on the specifications. Good thing the review helped me understand, well a bird’s eye view that is but not totally like how the husband understands it. In the end it was him who decided what to pick and I made sure that he buys some camcorder accessories to go with the camcorder of his choice.

Been searching for the perfect pink! I finally saw one and I thought I was lucky. I picked that brand simply because I was happy with their Top Tomato (fiery red). Top Tomato turned out the way they described the product but not the Perfect Peony (name of that particular shade). Food-proof, yes it was. Ultra-conditioning top coat was missing! My lips became very dry and shimmery lines were very visible. Nope it does not wear beautifully, not even after an hour of use. I am very very disappointed. I tried other brands, with the other colors it was alright, but when it came to the perfect pink (well at least for me) all else fail. They have the same problem on my lips. I think it’s the shimmer or it could be an ingredient that they put that makes it pale pink, something silvery.

Have you thought of a good investment? With what’s happening around us, we should be wise on how we invest our hard earned money. There are a lot of available investments but how can you be sure which one to go into? It’s hard to take chances since money is hard to come by, I think you all know that by now.
There’s one thing that I think would be wise to put your money on. It’s gold coins. This is already tried and tested that is why I am suggesting it to you. I think I already mentioned it here in my blog how my FIL became successful, from rags to riches. All I can say is he invested in gold and I am amazed at what it did to him. He is a success story, and a lot of people can attest to that.

Daughter has been admiring fashion bloggers who wear vintage clothing. So this is the reason why she wants me to go to ukay-ukay (sort of a flea market or a vintage market) and get her some nice vintage t shirts. She wants everything vintage nowadays. This is a challenge for me, uuummm I want to be a personal shopper right? So I guess this would be my baptism of fire. Hope she does not get disappointed and yes hope she doesn’t find my purchase too mommy(ish), as I have this tendency. Sometimes I can’t stop myself from picking things that I like, rather than things that I think she’d like. I’ve been to the Baguio ukay-ukay and got myself some pieces, I’ve also been to Bambang, but Baguio is still the best I think.

I was given the opportunity to watch Sharon Cuneta live in concert. It’s my first time to watch her so I didn’t really know what to expect. The beginning part was boring as it didn’t start with a big bang if you know what I mean. The opening number won’t really leave a mark. But as the show progressed, it was getting better. I enjoyed the numbers of her guests, they were all good except for Piolo Pascual who I guess is not really a singer, add to that his awkward self in front of Sharon. He was kinda super prim and proper, too watchful of his moves which was very unnatural. And oh I noticed something about Sarah Geronimo too, but I guess it should be for another entry as this one gets too long already.
Thanks to Cuz Marie for inviting me and for the free complimentary ticket too.

My daughter’s birthday is coming up very soon. I wonder what she wants. Knowing teenagers nowadays, they prefer personalized gift. I am not a teenager obviously (heh) but I too love receiving that kind of gift. It makes me feel all the more loved because the person who gave it really made a effort in choosing what to give you. Looking for a present in itself is pretty hard especially if the one you’re giving the gift too has everything. I have a lot of friends who are materially blessed, and the personalized gifts that I have been giving them never fails to paint a smile on their face.

What happens when you don’t get enough sleep? I get cranky, really really cranky. Well that seldom happens though because the moment my back touches the mattress, off to dreamland I go. Yes I am very particular with the mattress I sleep on because I don’t want to experience back aches. That’s what I hate most. Imagine you don’t get enough sleep plus aches all over, my oh my I don’t know if you can still talk to me. I guess we all want a comfortable sleep and as much as possible we follow the specifications we have in mind when it comes to the bedroom.

I woke up without internet connection yesterday. It was hard to get through PLDT’s customer service but I was able to go through 15 minutes later. Yeah you have to stay on the line for about that time and just listen to the automated voice telling you to stay on the line. Haller, like I’m gonna put the phone down, of course not! Internet is important to this household. Would you like to know how important it is? I bought a separate SUN Wireless Broadband so that we have something to use in case DSL isn’t working.
Anyway, since there was no internet the whole day, I spent time doing my beaded accessories. All the bracelets I made were sold already and I have some orders. I need to hurry on this so I can send some to the US too. My sister has been asking me to sell there too, so maybe I will when I come up with plenty of designs. So far so good, everyone is loving it.
