Boracay: Day 1
Posted by girlie on June 14, 2010
It was my first time landing at the Caticlan Airport. Normally when we go to Boracay, we take PAL which lands in Aklan. We had to take an hour and a half bus ride to get us to Caticlan, then take the boat going to the island. I’ve been to Boracay a couple of times already and this time it was totally different. On my 5th time, getting to the island is different. No more bumpy bus ride since I was already brave enough to take another airline. The boat ride does not bring you to the shore where your hotel is, but instead it docks at the wharf and you take the trike to the hotel. I think I like it this way aside from the fact that it generates jobs for the locals.
This trip was actually for Ish since she has not been to the islands yet. We got to the Boracay Regency at around 8:30 and we were allowed to check-in even if it was not 2 pm yet. Well who stays in the room when you are in Boracay except when it’s time to go to bed at night, right? Minimal electricity spent. We just put our things in the room and changed to our bikinis, yeah I wore a 2-pc swimwear, wth there were girls with even bigger tummies than I had (I’d like to think so, this gives me the justification that I can wear one). Anyway, she loved the place and this early she plans to bring her friends next year when she turns 18. Instead of having a grand party, she opts for this kind of fun. I’m not sure about that though, will have to think about it.

That sounds great. I hope you didn’t get sunburned. I love the ocean and go as often as I can.
Have a good week.

Nice photo! Glad you enjoyed your Boracay trip. My MIL invited us to Bora but we weren’t able to join her and hubby’s siblings because it coincided with Yohan’s mini soccer cup. Maybe next year we can go to Bora.
