Home Security

Posted by girlie on December 29, 2009

I was thinking of having this project next year. I will try and save for one of these home security systems. I don’t want to go through what we did a few months back. Not that the robbers were able to penetrate but the thought that they tried. But it’s a good thing too, we became aware and fixed a few things around the house. I admit I was kinda lax when it came to that matter, I thought we were all safe and secure. Maybe that home security system would finally seal it all. Of course I still do not forget to pray to God for our safety and that’s the most important thing of all.

Done!

Photobucket I posted in my other blog the progress I made with the slouchy beret Ish requested me to make for her. I was able to finish it on the eve of the 24th. She wore it Christmas Day and my relatives couldn’t believe that I was the one who made it. Talking about my knitting skills, haha I’ve improved! I can now make a beret a slouchy one at that. So now that I can make a scarf, a beanie and a beret, what’s next?

Avid Fan of Online Shopping

Posted by girlie on December 23, 2009

I used to buy stuffs for the office/store first week of January. That is because we do inventory during the last week of the year. Whatever is needed, I buy it immediately. But there were times I wished that online shopping for such office supplies was available. Malls tend to be overcrowded and there’s just many things that needs to get done after a few days off because of the holidays. I’m glad that shopping for office supplies nowadays can be done online. It’s more convenient for most of us actually.

Stomach In

Photobucket Josh found out yesterday that I was wearing what you see in the photo, except that it’s skin tone. Then he couldn’t stop talking anymore about how fat I am. He even said something like “It feels good to know that I am not the only fat member in the family.” Yeah yeah I get it. Like I said it’s 21 lbs. to date already. I don’t have any idea on how I got that heavy, it’s nothing hormonal. It’s probably the non-stop stuffing of the mouth. It’s like I’m gonna die or something if I don’t stuff food in my mouth. Thinking about the next food to eat is not helping either. Honestly I don’t know what to do. I’m not good in exercising either. I gave up the one thing I love, belly dancing. It’s boring to be dancing alone in the 4 corners of the house. I’d like to do some biking since it’s the next best exercise to swimming.

Homeschooling

Posted by girlie on December 11, 2009

I have a lot of friends whose children are all homeschooled. Oh the children of my cousin too, they all did homeschooling and look where they are now. The older kids are successful in their own chosen field and they excel. Honestly I never gave homeschooling a thought when the kids were about to start school. But looking at my cousin’s children, all my negative thoughts about homeschooling was erased. No wonder it has gotten popular nowadays, as I’ve said I have a lot of friends who do homeschooling. It’s quality education, sometimes I cannot help but think that this is even better than the regular school where they have poor teachers. Let’s face it, the quality of education sometimes goes down because of unqualified teachers.

Anyway I browsed their curriculum and I noticed that the lessons promote reading. I like the idea. I have a daughter who loves reading and I love what has become of her because of her love for reading. She is very articulate and she has the ability of analyze. Before I forget to mention, their curriculum is customizable, interactive and flexible. Meaning you get to pick the subjects appropriate to your grade level. Now another thing, you can check their curriculum online, and it’s available 24/7. Did I tell you that homeschooling is more affordable than the regular school? It’s because they take into consideration the difficult times we have now. Of course they think that education is really important, and it can be delivered right at your “doorsteps.”

Brace Free

Posted by girlie on

Finally, after more than 4 years my mouth feels normal again. The braces were removed on Tuesday, Dec. 8. TMJ cured, bite corrected. It somewhat feels strange without the braces really, probably because I’ve had it for more than 4 years. Honestly I’d rather have the braces than wear retainers. It’s too bothersome for me. But you see I need to wear it otherwise 4 years will be gone to waste. Probably for the first year, I’d be wearing it day and night, but on the second year I’ll just wear it at night.

Where to Buy Ferrari Parts

Posted by girlie on December 10, 2009

I know someone very close to our family who owns a Ferrari. I don’t know if he knows that it is my dream to be able to ride that car some day. Anyway, I really don’t know if he knows where to get Ferrari parts in case he’d need one. Oh I’ll just mention it to him the next time I’ll see him. Who knows this might be of big help to him. He actually mentioned where he gets his parts but I forgot where, I think he mentioned a place somewhere in Europe.

Fat Burner Needed

Posted by girlie on December 7, 2009

Please don’t hate me for talking too much about my weight gain. I feel sad about it actually and I just need to let it out. I am bothered yes and I hate myself because I’m not doing anything about it. I’m just too lazy. Another bad habit is that if I start exercising, it gives me more reason to stuff food in my mouth, grrrr. If this is the case all the time, I need to look for this very good fat burner I read online. There are actually a lot of good reviews, so I might consider it. I need to consult with a doctor before starting on anything, coz I heard too that not everybody can take it. Hope I get the go signal.

It’s Final

PhotobucketThat was how my tree looked like when I first set it up mid-November. I didn’t buy new ornaments this year but tried to combine more colors to it. I had a purple tree last year (majority of the ornaments were purple) and this year I decided to add red. I never thought it would look good, but it did, well that’s just my opinion and a few more people.

Photobucket About a week ago, I saw 3 rolls of purplish silver ribbon in the store room which I bought last year but was not able to make it into bows coz I didn’t know how. Never thought of youtube and the how tos. Anyway, I found this vid tutorial in youtube and just followed what she did. It’s easy after all. So there goes the bows I made and I now have a topper.

Get Rid of Unwanted Pounds

Posted by girlie on December 4, 2009

Perfect! And this is just what I need I think. I’ve done everything so as not to add more weight, but it’s escalating. I get frustrated already because I seem to be putting and putting more weight each day. I thought I’d stop at 10 additional pounds since I got really alarmed. But look at me now, 17 pounds heavier. I think I would try this fast weight loss thingy. But before that let me read the reviews first. I don’t want to commit a mistake and I don’t want to spend money on stuff that doesn’t work. I’ll tell you if it’s effective, ok?

Chef

Photobucket Brought Josh to the barber shop today. It’s the first time that he didn’t whine about his new hair. It actually fits him and I told him that that’s the kind of haircut I want him to sport all the time. On our way up I asked him who is your crush? And this is his reply, “Nobody Mom, coz nobody really knows how to cook well.” Boy oh boy! What a requirement! Ladies start playing Cafe World already or Restaurant City, get it?
