Lung Cancer Treatment

Posted by girlie on August 31, 2009

Oh no! Why am I talking about diseases/disorders? Do I sound like I’m scared? Of course I am, so I need all the information I can get about disorders I am not familiar with. Yep I also know that I should consult the doctor about it if ever someone in my family comes across it. But it helps me understand the disorder more if I do a little reading.

Take for example this pancreatic cancer. This is considered a silent killer according to some readings that I already did. You know why? You really do not have any symptoms early on in the disease. Normally it is diagnosed when it is already in the advance stage. But I am glad though that there is so called pancreatic cancer treatment.

Now let’s talk about lung cancer. There are actually two types of lung cancer. One is called small cell lung cancer which grows rapidly and spreads quickly and the other one is called non-small cell lung cancer. There are 3 sub-types, and at this point I am not in the position to explain. Better do some readings if you are really interested in it. I read too that lung cancer is the easiest to treat. Yes, there is lung cancer treatment, and don’t forget this is the easiest to treat, cooperation is needed though.

Cystic Fibrosis Symptoms

Posted by girlie on

Not many of us know about cystic fibrosis disease. Is this really a common disease? Do we know how to go about it in case one of our family members is inflicted? Sad that my answer to it is a no. But now that I know a few things about it, I’m quite confident that my little knowledge will go a long way. It is actually a genetic disorder of the secretory glands. Known cystic fibrosis symptoms include excess mucus production, coughing, shortness of breath. In other words, it affects the function of the lungs. CF which is short for cystic fibrosis can damage the lungs. Not many people know this, that’s probably the reason why many people do not pay much attention to CF.

Did you know that probably one of the reasons why you have poor growth and poor weight gain despite the fact that you have a normal appetite might be due to CF? Did you know that this can cause infertility too? It’s hard for me to explain everything, but I think you have to do some reading so you will get first hand information. I am just scare that I am not explaining it right, if you know what I mean. But at least I am giving you an idea, in case you still don’t know about it. And yes there is a cystic fibrosis lung treatment. It’s not the end of the world for those people suffering with CF.

Hand Mixer

Photobucket It’s an Imarflex hand mixer, yeah I am excited about this latest purchase. Probably because part of the money I bought that with came from my allowance as a scholar. I’m happy that I was able to buy it, with that I can be more creative with my baking and i can let my family taste my chocolate mousse. I can’t do whipped cream manually.

Mobile Marketing

Posted by girlie on

Have you noticed that SMS have created a large impact in our lives? It’s the fastest way of getting the message across. It’s now commonly used as a mobile marketing. Now what does that mean? To understand that more clearly, let us put it this way. Have you received advertisements in your mobile phones? That is what you call mobile marketing. SMS have been an effective advertising channel. I for one have benefited from it. I become aware of what’s new, be it a store, a concert, a play, a sale and a lot more.

Have you ever wondered how this is being done? It is via text message services. With just a click you get all your messages across. Imagine if you have to do it individually, how long would it take to reach about a thousand customers. Can you imagine that? Technology has really it’s way to simplify things, and I am just glad. And did you know that there is what you call web SMS? Ahhh, technology at it’s best. It’s an all in one messaging. It saves time, you don’t need to login from one account to another, no need to memorize a lot of passwords, and best of all you do it all in one window. How about that? Cool isn’t it?

Going About Blackheads

Posted by girlie on

Blackheads…it’s been the problem in the family. Every month you would hear dialogues such as “Mom, when are we going to have facials?” “Mom, my face is really disgusting, I can feel the blackheads in my nose.” Sometimes I’m wondering, is there really one solution to keep blackheads from coming? I would want that so we don’t need to go for facials every so often. I’ve been searching the net on how to get rid of blackheads, hopefully what I found is effective.

Oignon Pique

Photobucket Now how do you do that? Just peel the onion (white), make a slit where you can insert the bay leaf, then just pin the whole cloves into the onion.  Here I just made a small amount of sauce, so I adjusted the size of my onions.  This is done to extract some flavor in your sauces, normally with milk or stock.  In my case I used it to make my bechamel sauce for my grilled steak.

I Want my Bluetooth

Posted by girlie on

I have witnessed a lot of accidents due to the use of a mobile phone while driving. I used to do that a lot, and I am even proud that I can text and drive. Little did I know that it can kill. Sometimes we are just stubborn and we never learn until something happens. Nobody really says that we can’t talk to someone while driving, yes we can. But we need to use the correct device for it like this Bluetooth headset. It’s wireless so it does not get in the way. Don’t worry about the talk time, some devices have 15 hours talk time. This is the safest way to use your mobile phone while driving.

Medication for ADHD

Posted by girlie on

Honestly not many are educated about ADHD. I can say that I am one of them, since I really do not know a lot of facts about it. I just know that it is a disorder, and beyond that I know nothing. It’s really nice that we have the internet now, almost everything has an answer. I have started reading about ADHD in children, not that I have one in the family but I am just hungry for information. Who knows I can help someone in the future. ADHD for me is kinda serious, it should be treated since it can affect one’s well being in the future. Like I said it’s a disorder, an attentional problem and hyperactivity. Yes you will find it not normal, but since you know nothing about ADHD you just brush it off. I’ve heard a lot of people say this. It’s about time we educate ourselves if we want better future for our children.

What about ADHD teen? Handling teens is the most difficult task parents have. Now imagine your teenager having ADHD, it can be doubly hard dealing with them. Seeking professional help is a good idea since I read that medication for ADHD is really needed. Well it’s actually a case to case basis, others may need medication others don’t. It depends on the degree of the disorder. Again, it pays to know more about this disorder so we will know how to go about it.

MIA

It feels strange! I miss FB! I miss my farm 0_0 . I miss going online! I only have a few minutes to check, I can have more actually but my body just can’t take it. I feel so tired in the afternoon after my cooking class. When I get home, all I want to do is just lie down and sleep. I can’t even cook for the family. My schedule is really odd, but everyone has to make do with it. This will only be until Sunday, which is the verdict. Will I get my Certificate of Confidence from TESDA?

Broadcast News!

Posted by girlie on August 19, 2009

I wish we had this kind of school alert system. I heard that some of the schools here are using it already. This is a great way to get the message across everyone and it’s fast too. Remember this is a mass notification from the school itself so there are no chances of confusion here. Based on my experience mass notification coming from everyone else is confusing, by the time the messages get to you, it is already distorted. I would like to receive these official alerts coming from the school authorities itself.

How Important is Business Insurance

Posted by girlie on August 16, 2009

At first I can’t comprehend why I needed this business insurance when I was renewing our business permit some years back. Yeah I wasn’t really used to getting an insurance for our business, but it became a requirement some few years back. The person I did business with discussed to me the benefits I would be getting out of the little sum I was paying. I was like why did I not think of this? Why was I so against getting it? Maybe because it’s an additional expense on our part, but come to think of it. The benefits you would be getting in case something happens is truly helpful.

Tanghalian: 49th Litratong Pinoy

Posted by girlie on August 13, 2009

Ako’y hiyang hiya at ang huli kong sali sa LP ay noong buwan pa ng Mayo, May 14 to be exact.

Wishing for a Whole Month Stay

Posted by girlie on

Included in the 1000 places to visit before I die is Florida. I’ve always loved beaches. The longest I’ve stayed in a beach resort so far is like 5 days. I want to stay half a month, or even one if I’d be offered that luxury. Then maybe I will have to consider staying in one of the destin beach condos listed. I love the facilities being offered by a condo, if I’m lazy to walk and dine out, maybe I can cook a simple mean and just relax. I love the homey atmosphere being offered by a condo hotel style.

Paalam!

Posted by girlie on August 7, 2009

Photobucket Falling in line for the Aquinos is nothing new to me. I remember falling in line at Sto. Domingo Church to pay my last respect to Ninoy Aquino. When it was Cory’s turn, I didn’t think twice. We started at 9:30 in the evening and I was able to say my goodbye at around 2:15. Yeah almost 5 hours in line, with the rain pouring once in a while, but it was all worth it.

Photobucket That was Noynoy who went out to thank all the people who came. He was such a simple man, with just 2 men following him. Nothing compared to Pacman and Singson who were swarmed with bodyguards as if they were gods.

Photobucket

Photobucket My simple message to the president I love dearly.

*There was a point in time that I really got mad. Mad at those “learned” people who do not know what it means to fall in line. Maybe they forgot that they are no different from us, or maybe I can say that we are even more learned than them. Haaayyy naku is all I can say!*

I Remember the Days

Posted by girlie on August 6, 2009

Not all are blessed with pimple/acne free face. I for one didn’t have it. Yep, I had my days, no make that years and I was beginning to be desperate. I would look for the best acne medication that would get rid of my acne. It was an ordeal that I needed to put up with. There were times that I didn’t like to go out anymore. There were times that I didn’t feel like working, because working meant facing people. I was a frontliner, and I should be having very clear skin. Thank goodness Dad paid for my treatment, I can’t say that I am acne free, once in a while something pops out, but thanks to some medication it’s now controlled.
