There are some men I know who have undergone a surgical procedure called vasectomy. They have their own reasons for doing so. For one, they don’t want to add another child in the family. Instead of the wife taking pills or having themselves ligated, the husbands opt for vasectomy instead. One reason can also be that the wives do not want their husbands to have children outside the marriage. At one point, I thought of that. But I never had the courage to tell the husband. Am I being selfish for thinking about those things? But lately though it was the husband who suggested that he can undergo that procedure. He was thinking about my health more than anything else. He is scared because I have been on pill for so long already. Oh maybe he can now. There is always vasectomy reversal anyways, that is if he still wants to father a child. There are other men who do not want to undergo vasectomy thinking it is permanent. I had that notion too until I heard it first from a friend that it can be reversed. So when I got home I immediately searched for it over the internet. Contrary to what I heard, vasectomy reversal is not as expensive. I have to share this to a friend of mine, I don’t think he knows that there is vasectomy reversal. He’s got a new wife and it would be wonderful for them to have kids of their own. Or maybe if the husband suggests once again that he wants to undergo the procedure, I will not have second thoughts anymore.
Much as I don’t want to I actually have no choice. I am talking about the College Entrance Review of my daughter. Yep she’s going to review twice, the first one with LSC which is the school’s choice (yeah the school has a say on where we want our children to enroll, or should I say they were the ones who picked the review school for our kids). Since when did this happen? Only if you enroll your kids to this school. Quite authoritarian eh, we don’t have a choice but to follow because they said they will not release the report cards. Since when is college entrance review compulsory? During my time we didn’t have that, or if ever there was, it was the parents who decides whether they want their kids to attend or not. Oh goodness I can rant over and over again, but I don’t have a CHOICE, the report cards won’t be released plus my kid won’t be admitted for next school year. Yeah HARD! They are! It’s part of the student-parent-school agreement, smart move eh! Boo!
This is such a good news for our numerous clients who have been inquiring about transferring an 8mm film to DVD. I myself is in need of this too. We have a lot of video cassette (video 8 format) taken of the kids when they were growing up. I need to transfer it to DVD before my daughter turns 18, and it’s just 3 years away. Aba parang na she loves me, she loves me not ang bulaklak na ito. Bakit nga ba nakulangan ng petals ito, sadya bang ganito o sinadya? Uy wala akong kinalaman dyan ha, basta nakita ko nalang na kulang yan.

Being a wife and Mom combined is kinda hard. The demands are just great that as much as possible we want to do it all. I really salute women who do not have helpers and yet they can seem to get by and even have time for themselves. I salute stay-at-home Moms, they are the real wondah woman that sometimes I can’t imagine how they can manage things and all. My blood boils whenever stay-at-home Moms are belittled. I am a stay-at-home Mom and someone commented that “my intelligence” was put to waste and guess how I answered him… “i married a rich guy.” teehee!…haha serves him right! Hope he realizes that the best job (for a woman) one could have is being a Mother.
Have you noticed that there is something different with the exit signs you see everywhere? I don’t know if you noticed, some of them are already glow in the dark. This is the latest in technology and it makes an exit sign eco-friendly. This is non-electrical and as I’ve said it glows in the dark. This has allowed so many building owners to save on electricity. Those ones who are still using the outdated technology are looking forward to using this new and innovative EXIT SIGNS. This are also favored by a lot of architects nowadays since by using this non-electrical exit signs, it does not get in the way of their aesthetic design. Why do I say this? Well some people do not put certain things because of the appearance of some electrical wires. They consider it as eye sore. Not with the new non-electrical exit signs. Not only do we save on electricity, it does not get in the way when it comes to the design of our buildings too. But really, more than anything else, it’s the great savings that we get. Imagine how much we spend for keeping the exit sign light on 24/7. Have you also thought that you’d be changing bulbs every now and then? OMG it’s addicting. This is my second Coastal Scents palette. The first one that I bought was the 88-pc palette which is purely for the eyes. This 78-pc palette has something for the cheeks. I am excited! Oh that is an understatement! I’ve been waiting for this time to go on China holidays. I think I mentioned before that I was supposed to go with my cousins and some friends but that didn’t push through. We went to another place instead, yeah Singapore. But this time, looks like it’s gonna push through, well I am keeping my fingers crossed. I’m still waiting for the final date on when the kids’ classes would end so I can already make arrangement for our China tours. My father-in-law suggested that we go on escorted tours because that’s what they had when they went on a China tour a couple of years ago. It makes sense I think since it will be our first time. I don’t want to miss all the important places in history, and all this would only be possible if we join a group or something. Joining a tour group would almost cover it all, says my father-in-law. I guess he is right. Now I’m counting the days, will it be March or April? Will it push through or not? What are the odds? Oh I don’t know, but I have a strong feeling that we will be able to see Beijing and Shanghai…ni hao!

Saturday was spent in school again, it’s the 4th PTC. I didn’t like to go really but I have too. I needed to talk to the HS supervisor because of the college entrance review thing. I don’t like to enroll my child to the accredited review center of the school, but more than anything else I’d like to exercise my right as a Mom to choose which review center I’d like my kid to go to. What sucks is that my daughter has to enroll with the school’s reason that I signed the student-school agreement. It’s like I have a choice. But honestly I overlooked that portion, but then again I can’t do anything but sign since my child was already enrolled. I just feel a little bad that just because I can’t let my child join their review, I have to take him out from that school. Isn’t it unfair, in the first place that is not even part of the curriculum, moreso who is the school to decide on what review center is good for my child? Why are they imposing that everyone should undergo this college entrance review? Darn!

We attended a wedding on Sunday. I was one of the principal sponsors. They are the 3rd couple that I stood as “Ninang”. The bride is the daughter of my husband’s trainor in cycling. It was a simple ceremony, and I was deeply touched by the marriage vow of the groom, I was actually short of crying.
That was our weekend…it was fun…hope you had a fun weekend too.

A couple of days back, I wrote something about getting our Vaxigrip Flu vaccine. I got all positive responses. My, my! It’s Thursday already? Hmm what did I accomplish so far this week? Root Dye - check! Root Dye - check? What? that’s all I did? Nah, of course I did my normal routine like wake up at 5:30 in the morning to help the kids prepare for school. Then I do my online stuff. I make sure that I finish every assigned task given to me. I drop (entrecard) too or should I say bloghop. I’m now trying to keep in touch and read blogs in my blogroll which I haven’t done in ages. I don’t know what happened to me, probably too much internet work kept me from visiting my fave blogs. I guess we are all guilty of that. Oh I also went to my darling doll’s school to talk to the HS supervisor. She was in a meeting at that time so I was not able to talk to her. The secretary promised that she’ll call me but never did, oh well. This is with regards to the College Entrance Review. IMHO I am to decided whether or not I want my child to enroll in such. It is also my right to choose the Review Center I want my child to enroll in. You get my point now?
We had dinner last night at some fancy restaurant at Dusit. I forgot to take photos, darn me! There were lotsa food (japanese).

We were are the mall again yesterday to watch Ink Heart. I know, we are a family who loves to watch movies really. It’s like we go the the cinema once or twice a week. It’s a family thing to us, yeah maybe you can call it our family bonding. I wish we had this home theater furniture at home so we don’t need to go out anymore just to watch some movies. We have a theater room, but too bad we don’t have the money yet to set it up.
