We Got Our Shots : 47th Weekend Snaphot

I got invited by Nuffnang Philippines in cooperation with Sanofi Pasteur to attend their Flu Vaccine Awareness Seminar last Saturday, January 24, 2009. More than the free vaccine me and my daughter got, I was glad I attended. I actually learned a lot, I thought flu was just flu and nothing more, never thought that it could get deadly. This is actually my first time getting a flu shot, but not for my daughter. I’ll be sharing with you some photos I took.

It is indeed very important to get yourselves vaccinated. I learned that a lot of complications can arise from flu. So before those complications happen, avoid getting sick with influenza, go get the flu vaccine now.

The short awareness seminar was conducted by the Medical Director of Sanofi Pasteur, Dr. Ruby Mendoza-Dizon.

If you fall under these categories, it’s best that you get vaccinated. I think everyone should get one. It’s still cheaper getting yourselves vaccinated, than getting a flu that will eventually lead to complications if not well taken cared of.

Let us be aware of the symptoms of flu. Normally we just dismiss it as an ordinary cold, and yeah I am guilty of this.

i also got the invitation and unfortunately was not able to make it. but i already got the flu vaccine since its a must for me because i have lupus. lucky you to have save around php 1k+ each for that vaccine.

my daughter also just got her flu vaccine last saturday since that’s what the pedia said was important to have now..

It’s great to see free flu shots are given there. My daughter had her free flu shots in school. It’s normally $20 but we were able to find $10 for me and hubby.

Some people are against the vaccine but it’s better to build the antibodies against some strains than nothing at all.

I started getting my own flu shot about 3 years ago… hirap kasi dito sa Canada, uso ang flu during winter time.
