I recently visited the new home of a friend. The first thing I noticed was her bar stools. I’ve long wanted to have one, but up to now I’m still in the hunt. Maybe it’s just not on top of our priority right now, thus the delay. But really I want one. You see that picture? That’s the kind of stool that I want so it would go with my dining set. Maybe now is the time to put it in the priority list, I need to sit down when I’m using the phone which is located in the breakfast nook.

Move over Jonas Brothers! Haha I love that, but I know someone who wouldn’t be happy with this when she reads it. Peace Girl, lol! You gotta watch Operation Mojo to find out who will replace the Jonas Brothers, haha. Really these boys are cute…Nat is 13 and Alex is 11. They are the lead stars of the hit musical comedy series The Naked Brothers Band. These boys are super talented. Nat started playing a musical instrument at age 4. He is a songwriter and love to play the keyboards. They actually write their own songs too. Alex on the other hand plays the drums. These boys are really cool and you gotta watch out for them…more so now! How? Ok, on Nov. 22, that’s a few days from now, you can let your kids tune in to live chat with Nat and Alex Wolff. It is going to be at 7 pm eastern time. This is actually part of the new premiere Operation Mojo which will be shown an hour after. Let your kids know what this Operation Mojo is all about. I’m sure they are big fans of The Naked Brothers Band show over at Nickelodeon. These boys are just cute…so Jonas Brothers…watch out!

I didn’t know she was coming home. I haven’t been visiting blogs lately because of my busy schedule. I just got a text message from Cuz that Amy is here on holiday and she wants to see us. I thought I wouldn’t be able to make it, coz I was “home alone” for a day. The other helper had an emergency thingie going on, while the nanny had to stay in school to oversee the kids. Good thing the helper arrived, so off I drove to Bonifacio High Street and had lunch with them at ClawDaddy’s.

The food
The pasalubong (token) she bought while on vacation in Marbella, Spain.

Moi, Ate Marie, Lorraine (Amy’s daughter) and Amy aka Francesca.
Thanks for the treat Amy and for the pasalubong. It was nice seeing you again. Hope we can have coffee before you leave, but I doubt. Until next vacation, ok? Big big thanks to you again.

Ever since I wore eyeglasses, I have become a big fan of half-rim frames. And I love rectangular(ish) shaped frames too. I don’t know, but I think that’s the only shape that fits the shape of my face. Just to let you know, that eyeglasses is just one of the many Holiday Glass Frames From Zenni Optical. I’ve marked a few that I like already, yep all rectangular(ish). The popular online eyeglasses shop has become a favorite of a lot of people already. I think they became big because of the $ 8 Complete Rx Eyeglasses. You know how it is nowadays, you always have to find something that would suit your budget. And I am just glad that zennioptical.com is one that offers very affordable eyeglasses. Quality is not sacrificed if I may tell you. I know by now, there’s a big question at the back of your mind. Yeah, it’s true, you still get a very good quality eyeglasses for the price of $8. Check it out and find out for yourself.

Bingo! meron daw, so nagpabili ako sa kanya.

What do you think of Leptovox? A lot of people has claimed that it helped them lose weight. I heard that it contains high quality ingredients, more like the super foods that is always mentioned at Oprah’s show. It even beautifies the skin I learned. I have to write this down, so it will come in handy if I’ll need it in the future. It’s like hitting two birds with one stone if you know what I mean.

At the last minute, the family decided to watch Madagascar. At first I thought it wasn’t a good idea since traffic was terrible. It normally takes us about 45 minutes to get to the cinema, but last Saturday, it took us more than an hour. Good thing I was able to nap in the car, I didn’t notice the time. We were early for the last full show. My daughter requested if we could go to the bookshop. She bought 2 books again, and I finally got my Moleskine 2009 Diary.

I watched Quantum of Solace already, but I can’t get over Daniel, the new love of my life. Oooopppsie!
On our way home, we passed this strip in Ortigas selling different kinds of lanterns, it was just beautiful.

I just read one of my friend’s messages at plurk that she’d love to ride a horse and she’s doing it this weekend. Cool! Maybe she will find these horse supplies helpful. I bet this will not be her first ride and who knows she can buy her own horse in the future. I remember my kids (when they were still young) bugging me every summer to go to Tagaytay so they can ride a horse. They just love it. I tried riding the horse when we went to Baguio for a vacation, so I can understand why my kids would love to ride horses from time to time. It’s a wonderful experience. I’m thankful that they are so over it now, they might put that in their wish list for Christmas.

We’ve been trying hard to put someone on diet for the past years already. We’ve bribed him, we’ve convinced him and we even got him a treadmill. There was a time he lost weight, but he gains it back after awhile. Last night I was having suman with chocolate (he already had his share). And he goes:
J : Mom, can I have some?
Me : Sure, go ahead.
Me : I thought you wanted to lose weight?
J : Yeah Mom, but it’s hard. It’s like quitting smoking.
J : Right Mom?
Me : *smacks forehead*

I heard it really hard to find jobs in the US now, but when I came across this jobsite, I don’t think it is anymore. Or is it just in Dallas that has many job offers. If you live somewhere in Dallas or even close to Dallas, you might want to post your Dallas resumes. There are a lot of available career opportunities listed. Who knows the right job is just waiting for you.

Have you heard about Hydroxycut? It’s actually a fat burner that is very famous. A lot of people use it since it is “all over the place” due to it’s extensive campaign. But does it really work? I don’t have an answer for that since I have not tried it, but here are some Hydroxycut reviews that will be able to help you decide whether to use it or not. There are a lot of different brands of diet pills and fat burners, that sometimes we don’t know which to pick anymore. So it is really better if we get to read reviews and from there try to compare each products. There are also quite a number of listings of top diet pills so you can’t miss that.

Thanks to Pearl for giving me this award. This is one aspect in my life that I am really working hard at. There’s nothing else I want to be but the “Best Mom” to my kids. Hope they think of me that way, but wait, they already told me that *sniff*. Yeah to my kids I am the Best Mom and nobody can beat that.
GET THIS AWARD ON YOUR BLOG CLICK HERE
I’m passing this to all the Best Mothers I know:
Chantelle and Jonathon’s Mom
Yohan’s Mom
Zak and Lewis’ Mom
Rhea and Queenie’s Mom

All of us would want to hear someone say, “Hey, you look good, trim and fit!” I am lucky, not that I hear that all the time, but I have no problems with weight gain. But what about those people who keep trying to stay fit but just can’t? Many of them resort to diet pills. Some are successful some are not. I’ve been telling my friends that before they start on anything, they should read a review of all the diet pills available. That’s not hard to do anymore, since you will always find an intensive review on the net. It’s no joke to take those diet pills as there are quite a number of misleading facts. It’s safe to take a look and read the reviews coming from “real people” and yeah don’t forget to go see a doctor first.

I’d love to have this character shoes when I go dancing. Not that I go clubbing every night ^_^ but as many of you know by now, dancing is my form of exercise. I dance twice a week. I have my dancing shoes though, but I feel it’s gonna “die” on me anytime soon. Yep, I only have a pair and you can just imagine how old it looks now, and really really worn out. I love dancing in heels, a 3-in. one. Dancing moves become quite sexy. I am not kidding, it sort of gives a different kind of sway. I used to wear sneakers or ballet shoes when I dance. But when I discovered that dancing in heels is cool and nice to look at, I think I now prefer dancing in heels. No, you don’t dance with just any kind of shoes, unless you want to get injured. There’s a special shoes made for dancing. It’s really comfortable and very light. Sometimes I don’t feel like I have shoes on. And you know what? Since my dancing shoes is really beautiful, I’ve been attempting to wear it outside the dance floor. Upon the advice of my teacher, she said that dancing shoes are not made for walking. Darn! So there, remember wear dancing shoes when you are in the dance floor, and don’t forget to change into something else when you are out of the dance floor, otherwise you are going to hurt yourself.

Finally, after 9 days (which was really quick) I got what I ordered from ebay. I was sharing the excitement of waiting at my other blog, and what do I know, it got here the following day! I can’t believe it. I thought shipping would be like 3 weeks since it’s origin was the US. That’s why I really got the biggest surprise of my life when the hubs handed it to me. I love it! Less stress for my wrist when I knit. And I actually knit faster, rather than using the straight long needles. Hopefully I will be able to start on another project, although I still like to knit scarves and beanies. I promised a friend at Y!M that I’ll be making her a scarf and a beanie. But that would be for next year’s cold weather. I don’t think I can finish it anytime now. Right now, I’m finishing the scarf to match the beanie which I am giving to an “adopted” niece…hint hint ^_^

Cuz, Sta. Ana’s number one Kap celebrated her birthday at Strumm’s Makati last Saturday. It was an awesome night, free flowing food and drinks. We had so much fun, with In Heat as the band for the night, they were awesome too. They danced the night away, I did too but not much, haha. All I can say is that I had fun that evening, staying until 3 in the morning! Haven’t done this in a long time, and it was a big break for the “domesticated” me. Thanks Cuz for bringing back good times! I enjoyed the evening with all your beautiful guests. Fun, Fun, Fun!

There was a time that we went gaga over these magnetic bracelets. It was the hubs who introduced it to me. He said that a lot of people are wearing it and they have claimed “healing”. Others say that it helps ease the pain especially if you have arthritis, joint pain and swelling, muscle pain, and even a headache. I heard too that magnets also help people with the quality of sleep. I need to look for my magnetic bracelet now. I think I misplaced it, or maybe the hubs hid it somewhere. As I’m experiencing a lot of body aches and pains, I think that would help.

Do you still remember these old camera reels? I don’t but I’ve watched old movies probably using one of these camera reels. I actually saw that outside our favorite cinema (Promenade). I’ve attempted a lot of times to take a picture, but is always scared that my P&S camera gets confiscated. Cameras are not allowed inside the cinema when found. Perfect timing, Kristene and Oyo Boy were within the vicinity so all eyes were on them including the theater ticket girls. I took out my camera and voila I’m posting it here.

I don’t know if you noticed, but all the eyeglasses I wear fall on just one shape category. I buy it in different colors too. There was a time I kept buying one eyeglasses after another, and why not the price was really awesome. I would normally wear glasses that would match my outfit, haha I know I can be vain when it comes to eyeglasses. Well you could be too if I tell you about Zenni Optical. Zenni Optical is the leader when it comes to quality eyeglasses. It does not mean that when they sell their eyeglasses online at $8, it’s of low quality. Do you want to know why they can afford to offer $8 prescription glasses online? It’s because they manufacture their own frames, and they sell it direct to us customers. No middlemen to add to the actual price of the eyeglasses. You actually get to pay for what it’s worth. You should see how stylish and posh their frames are, and they are of good quality. For $8 you get a high quality stylish frame, anti-scratch coating, full UV protection, lens edge polishing and beveling and so much more. I am not kidding really. If you don’t like to believe me, go ahead and check for yourself. I know you are excited since all you want now is to save money. Times are hard, as much as possible we want to spend our hard earned money wisely.

My other blog was down for more than a week. Actually I lost all the posts there since I didn’t do a backup. I know I am stupid for thinking that nothing will go wrong with websites. This is actually the first time it happened to me. Well it was really unexpected. The old web host said that they were attacked and they are trying to restore everything. If I didn’t change web host, I doubt if the website will be up and running. Thanks to Krisa for putting up with my emails asking her a lot of things. You’re the best Kri!

Zenni Optical was on FOX news! Why do you think they were featured on FOX news? It’s because they have Great Eyeglasses For Less. Yes, you read it right! Eyeglasses for $8, how cool can that be! Now if you ask me if it’s of good quality, I think it is! They have a lot of satisfied customers. I want you to check out the Variable Dimension Frames From Zenni. There’s one there that I really want, haha liar…there’s more than a pair that I’d like to have.

I have a simple question for you guys. Whenever you travel, do you bother people to pick you up in the airport? Honestly, I do. And sometimes I even feel sad and disappointed when someone can’t pick me up. Well that was before, when I still didn’t know how busy people are especially in the US. When we stayed there for a month, I observed the kind of life people live there. And slowly I understood that I don’t have any reason to get disappointed. Time is really very important to them, and sometimes they do not even have time for themselves. Others hold two to three jobs and you can just imagine how tiring it is. It would be a lot of help when you just make use of the airport shuttle. It’s actually convenient, since they are going to drop you off to your destination. Now if any of you guys plan to go to NYC, I suggest you book Newark Airport Shuttle in advance. They have new and modern vans with a separate luggage compartment. You can make reservations 24/7. And best of all, they are on time. Nothing to worry about in other words. Oh before I forget, you can also book them if you plan to see the whole of NYC. They offer NYC Tours and Attractions. See you can go on your own without being a bother to your relatives and friends. Always remember that people in America do not really have the luxury of time. I can even say that 24 hours is not just enough for them. Now you get the picture, right?

It didn’t exactly happen on November 1 (All Saints Day) which was a Saturday. We visited the grave of my father last Thursday to avoid stress and traffic. You know how it is in cemeteries on Nov. 1. It’s been a practice for the family that we don’t go there on the 1st. It’s usually within the week prior to Nov. 1.
This time I volunteered to do the floral arrangement. I woke up early to go to the flower market near our place to buy the flowers. It’s less expensive that way, rather than buying arranged flowers. It was actually my first try to do it myself, and I am proud. My husband even said that it could be a centerpiece for a wedding reception. Oh maybe he said it because I am his wife and he does not want me to feel bad. But honestly, I love what I did…not bad for a first timer. I think I will do this yearly so Dad’s flowers would look different from the rest.

Who says I like to have Orlando vacations? I don’t like, but I am dying for one. I haven’t been to that part of the US, haha as if I’ve been to many parts, duh. But really it’s our dream (well at least me and my daughter Ish) to go there and enjoy all the theme parks. I don’t think a week is enough to get to enjoy all the rides. We’ve spent 2 successive days at Disneyland in California, but we wanted more time there. It was a beautiful experience. Yeah I know that I’m already old for that stuff, but hey what can you do if I am still young at heart? Teehee!
