Kadiliman : 25th Litratong Pinoy

Hit and miss ika nga sa exposure. But I’m glad kahit walang tripod at pasmado ok ang kuha ko nung gabing iyon.

Best Deals in Las Vegas

Posted by girlie on

Are you looking for a hotel in las vegas? Let me share with you this website I found where most people book their hotels. Do you want to know why? It’s because this website is the expert in giving you excellent deals. They can find hotels for you 77 percent off last year’s rate. Can you beat that? It’s fun being in Las Vegas I tell you. I was amazed by all the lights, the beautiful people, beautiful hotels you see everywhere. I have yet to hear someone go to Vegas and not like it. If any of you are planning a US trip, please don’t miss to include Las Vegas in your itinerary.

I Love NYC

Posted by girlie on

NYC is the place I want to visit again. I had the chance of going there upon the invitation of my good friend Guigi back in 2005. I brought along my 2 kids, and they or should I say we have the fondest memories of New York City. We haven’t seen the whole of NYC because of lack of time. I promised myself that given the chance to go back to the United States, I will not miss going to New York again. I find the city very beautiful and I love the fast paced life they have. It’s like everyone’s in a hurry. I know there’s so much to see and I’m looking forward to it. We plan to visit the US again in 2010, maybe we can avail the services of NYC Bus Charters. If there’s four of us plus my two sisters, nieces and nephew, it’s just wise to have chartered transportation. Good thing the website that I discovered provides charter bus service to Philadelphia. That’s where we are staying, with my sisters. Thinking about it makes me excited this early. I hope everything pushes through though. I guess this time we really need the city tour and sightseeing so we can cover and will be able to see key places in New York. I don’t want to miss a thing this time.

Photobucket It was a very busy week since the Philippine Fashion Week started. It’s a weeklong coverage for the hubs as he is designated as the official Runway Photographer. Of course I wouldn’t pass up this opportunity to shoot. It was actually my first to shoot a fashion show. As many of you know by now, I’m more of a wedding photographer. I don’t really know much about photography, but little by little I am learning. Thanks to the hubs for teaching me the basics, and of course the “trade secret”, haha kidding. Anyway it was fun, a bit tiring though especially during the weekend. We would leave the house like 12 noon and would go home at 12 midnight. Haven’t been going online for the past days, thank goodness, 2 more days to go, then I can say I’m 24/7 online.

Pet Stories

Posted by girlie on October 27, 2008

I love the Pet Stories I just came across while surfing the net. There are recipes you can follow to feed your pets too. Pets do get sick and tired of the usual food you give them. It’s nice to have different varieties once in a while. There are a lot you can learn from when you start reading stories of pets from different people. Who knows you can pick a lesson or two from their stories. And if you are in need of supplies, Penn Plax SAM Small Animal Supplies is the site to go to. Give some fun and loving to your small pets. Go check out the different accessories, toys, hide aways and treats for your small pets.

Liwanag : 24th Litratong Pinoy

Posted by girlie on October 23, 2008

*I drive with 3 sets of headlights at night. I own a small SUV and the hubs decided to put 3 sets of lights so other drivers will take notice of my not so mall vehicle. I normally turn 1 set off so others will not get blinded by my headlights.

*That’s the car I’m driving. Isn’t it cool, well just like me the hipncoolmomma. I’m proud to say that that car won third place in one of the car shows we joined.

This is very important since your monthly payment depends on it. If you need some help with mortgage, there are sites that can help you especially if it is your first time. I Got Shocked with my Shox!

Posted by girlie on October 21, 2008

Photobucket Oh no! Can I still fix this? Are you wondering how it happened? I used that on my first try with hiphop abs. I haven’t worn that shoes in ages…poor storage probably that’s why it fell apart. What sucked big time was I was almost done with the routine…it was cool down already (panira talaga ng momentum, asar). I think it’s time to buy a new one, or lemme check if I’ll feel comfortable with my other running shoes. Maybe tomorrow, I still didn’t do any exercise since the week started. I wasn’t able to dance yesterday (Monday) because of headache and muscle sore from the Puerto Galera trip. Yeah I need to dance tomorrow so I’ll feel good.

Car Insurance

Posted by girlie on October 20, 2008

Boo! I forgot all about my car insurance. I just remembered when someone I know figured in a car accident. Good thing it didn’t happen to me, but at the same time sad over what happened to a friend. Well she had car insurance so she is not bothered at all with the expenses of restoring it back. I’d better start scouting for a car insurance, since there are a lot of crazy drivers out there. I’m always reminding myself, even if I drive with care, I still can’t tell if I’m safe on the roads. Car crash rates have gone up and I am just scared.

Spicy Crablets

Posted by girlie on

Photobucket It’s my first time to put flavor in my crablets(talangka). Normally we just put salt and wait til it turns a orangy. But this time I though of adding flavor to it. I did the usual thing, then I melted some butter, added ginger, garlic powder, mirin, light soy and some chili peppers, after which I sprinkled it with dried parsley. That’s how easy it is. My two boys enjoyed it. They had it during snack time and with rice. I know they are not supposed to have it at 3 in the afternoon, but they can’t resist the smell, it was sooo inviting.

All You Need to Know About Web Hosting

Posted by girlie on

A lot of bloggers now want to have their own com. I used to have my blog hosted for free, and since having your own domain and hosting is really very affordable, I decided to maintain my own url. I was basically new with this thing and I was clueless. I didn’t know how to pick a web host so I ended up getting a web host that didn’t perform well. My website was always down and I got disappointed big time. I ended my web hosting with them even though I already paid for a year. Never mind if it was fully paid for a year, the important thing is my website should always be up. I learned my lesson the hard way, so they say. Now I know better. Maybe at that time I was too excited to think and wanted to have it propagated right away. I was wrong. Don’t be like me. There are a lot of good reads where you can find a lot of information about web hosting. Take for example this web hosting blog. It tells everything you need to know about web hosting. I should have come across them a year ago so I didn’t waste any money. Anyway, what you can find in this blog are updated trends, products and the latest when it comes to web hosting industry. I went through their blog, and I like majority of their posts. It’s very simple and easy to understand. Things regarding web hosting are explained well, and with this you won’t be committing the same mistakes I did. If you are looking for a web host for your domain name, you need to check out this blog. It says a lot about web hosting and so much more. It’s actually a complete guide on how to choose the best web host. Don’t hit the button buy yet until you read all the informative posts in this blog. It’s easy to come back and hit that buy button after reading all that you need to know.

Photobucket We had a prenup shoot at Puerto Galera last Saturday. We left home at 8 in the morning to drive to Batangas Port. From there we took the ferry. I was kinda scared coz it was a bit small. Good thing I brought my knitting project with me and the moment I sat down, I started knitting. It worked, it relaxed me a bit, forgetting momentarily that I was riding a small boat. It took us 2 boat rides to get to our destination, the Buri Resort and Spa. Goodness it was really beautiful there. I had some time to take personal photographs while waiting for the makeup artist to finish his thing. I’d like to bring the kids there someday, but the problem is, just like me they are scared of riding small boats. Maybe we can take RoRo instead, it’s a lot bigger.

Holiday Cards for Your Clients

Posted by girlie on October 19, 2008

We normally receive cards during the holiday season either from the bank or from the companies we do business with. I wonder if this year they would come up with better ones just like these corporate holiday cards. I say better, because we receive the same boring designs each year, nothing spectacular! How about you? Do you appreciate the cards that you get from your favorite company? And for company owners, do you give out holiday cards? You should, it’s one way of thanking your clients and making them feel that they are important to you. If you need holiday cards, now is the time to purchase it while there is an ongoing sale. Hurry because it’s a limited offer only.

A Deal A Day

Posted by girlie on October 18, 2008

Are you tired of browsing the net and going through hundreds of websites just to find a good deal? I do that a lot since I’m one person who wants to save even a little money when purchasing. If you are like me, I want to share with you this Find once a day and hot internet deals website, and it’s all in one website. Cool isn’t it? There’s one more thing I love about this website. It’s called “red alert”, where everyone finds it a super good deal. Aside from finding super hot deals, they have this Points Program to win prizes. Super hot deals + Points = awesome! Where else in the net can you find one. Oh check out the Latest once a day deals and specials, who knows that something you’ve been eyeing for a very long time is included in the “red alert”.

Bago Ba Ito (New) : 23rd Litratong Pinoy

Posted by girlie on October 17, 2008

So far enjoy ako na gamitin sya.

Is this really new? Technically it’s not since I bought it 2 months ago I think. This is my latest purchase, so I consider it new. So far I’m enjoying, it takes great photos. I won’t be bringing my other point and shoot (humungous) anymore unless I take the jeepney and a camera is needed. In other words, the hold upper and the snatcher can have it.

I Need a New Router

Posted by girlie on October 16, 2008

It’s about time that we upgrade to a new router. For now wifi only works in our room and my son’s room. Daughter Ish is already complaining since she has to go to her brother’s room just to use the internet. I am really clueless about these things, so I started searching the web. I think this Linksys router is perfect for us. I will be needing an expander though since we are staying in a multi-storey home. Good thing the router that I picked is compatible with the expander that I found. Well they actually have the same brand. I will have to tell the hubs about my discovery so he can act soon.

What Brand Do You Use?

Posted by girlie on

What brand of compact flash do you use? Is it reliable? I heard that there are certain brands that give you error. Proof to that are my husband’s friends who come to us and have lost data retrieved. It’s a good thing the the brand of compact flash we use is very reliable. I think we only used the software to retrieve only once and it was due to human error. It’s very important to have a reliable compact flash brand. I was also surprised that it now comes in 32GB. The last time we bought it was only 8GB, not a long time ago. I’d love to own a 32GB or even a 64GB compact flash. Now this is what you call super unlimited photos without changing compact flash every now and then.

The Place for all Moms

Posted by girlie on October 15, 2008

Is there a reason to get excited right at this very moment? For me there is and it’s because I found a very good website dedicated to all Moms and would be Moms. You know sometimes we get clueless about certain things sometimes, and when I get to that point, I normally search the web. Sometimes I find the answers, sometimes not. I used to have many questions about pregnancy and I had to ask my Mom or my friends who have children already. If you ask why not the web, it’s because I wasn’t into surfing at that time. That was some 15 years ago, lol. Good thing everything is now available in the web and you can easily find the answers to your questions. Like in this website I just came across with, everything is there with regards to children. There are very good articles about pregnancy, babies, toddlers and even teens. It also talks about parenting, health and nutrition for your children. They also have tips on how to go about your kid’s first day in nursery class. It talks about what to expect and how to go about it. These are real tips from mothers who have joined the network. Yeah that’s what you get by being a member. You can interact with Moms and who knows eventually become friends with them. It would be wonderful to compare notes with them and learn from each other. Motherhood is a long process and I would say that you don’t stop at being one at a certain age. Oh before I forget, let me share with you the marketplace page. Here you can buy, swap or sell stuff. It’s like posting a classified ad. This way you get to save since times are hard nowadays. We Moms should find ways to stretch the budget most of the time. Well I don’t really mind buying slightly used stuff if I can save a lot. Yeah you can say that I am a wise Mommy. So to all Moms out there, you know where to go now.

New Theme

Posted by girlie on October 14, 2008

I spent the afternoon working on my new theme. It’s a free SEO Wordpress theme it says. Hopefully with the new theme, my PR will be up again when google updates. Now I’m wondering whether the theme is really search engine optimized as I don’t have any clue on how that thing works, although I have been reading about SEO lately. It’s been months already that this blog does not have a PR (does 0 count? lol). It was a 5 once upon a time, then went down to 4, then 3, and for the longest time 0. I was thinking of having the theme done by a PRO, someone who does SEO really, but I don’t I have the budget for that right now. All I have to do is see if this new theme will give my PR back…oh well.

Ghost : 37th Weekend Snapshot

Posted by girlie on

Photobucket We went to Greenhills Shopping Center on Saturday. I took the opportunity to have my pimples injected. It has become huge really. Initially the dermatologist was suppose to inject it only but since she found it too big, she decided to have extraction (of puss that is). Yeah a lot, and it was really painful. I had to endure the pain just to look beautiful zit free. Anyway on our way to there, we happened to pass by this kiosk where they sell Halloween stuff. Ish already told me that that ghost standing in the corner was one of the staff. I didn’t believe her, since it looked more like a statue. I went near it, and got the biggest scare of the day when he extended his hand right in my face. Haha, I must have turned white.

Photobucket

Photobucket I bought a DVD of the hip hop abs. I was really excited to view it, so I brought my portable DVD player on our way to Mom’s. I forgot to charge it and my son forgot to charge his PSP too. I asked my son if i could first use the car charger but he insisted that he wanted to go first too. Solution? The head of the family dropped by a car accessories shop and bought that, so we could both use it.

Luma (Old) : 22nd Litratong Pinoy

Posted by girlie on October 9, 2008

Photobucket

Photobucket Meron kayo nyan?

*Do you have that?  Among all the gadgets that I owned, seems like this is the only one I’ve kept.  I don’t remember when I bought it, maybe in 1995?  I’m not even sure if it still works, but more on not, because I forgot to take out the batteries.  Now let me see…maybe I can still use it…but 32 kb, dang it’s old.

Photobucket

Photobucket

*I don’t know what it’s called, we saw it in one of the antique shops.  You wouldn’t think of buying it because of it’s condition…it was falling apart already.  The shop owner told us that they got that from a very old house probably in the 30s.  I don’t know how true, but maybe yes, it looks that old already.  We had to restore it so we can put it in the house.  It gave a nice accent and made our house more beautiful.  I’m suppose to have one more pic, but I am lazy to go down and take a photo of our recent purchase.  A 1946 cabinet sold to us by our neighbor.

Eyeglasses at $8

Posted by girlie on October 8, 2008

Photobucket

Photobucket Now that is my kind of eyeglasses. If you notice, most of the eyeglasses I wear come in this shape, I don’t know but I think that is the shape that fits the frame of my face. When I go scout for more frames, I do try different shapes, but it’s more the rectangular ones I purchase. I normally pick the colors you see in the above pictures too. Cool and hip, isn’t it? And did you know that those eyeglasses sell at only $8? There are a lot of beautiful eyeglasses you can find at their website. Most are reasonably priced. I checked on their new arrivals and I was like whoa! I found nice and chic shades. I also found the kind of frame I was looking for in a long time. I couldn’t believe it when I saw the price. I was like, am I lucky today? Really I am not kidding…I’ve been to a lot of Optical Shops and  nobody can beat their prices. For the price of $8, you can now own nice and funky eyeglasses. Not everything is at $8 though, but I tell you, it’s still priced reasonably. If you want to find out what I am talking about, kindly visit the website and find out how satisfied most of their customers are.

Not So Purple Tree

Posted by girlie on October 7, 2008

Photobucket So you think I’m crazy for putting up my tree this early? Oh well, I am late for a month, the department stores have put it up as early as September to lure customers. But really, the reason why I put it up this early is for us to enjoy it. Goodness it took days for that tree to be up with the ornaments, the lights and all. It’s no joke, it took me 3 hours to put all those ornaments. It’s pretty tiring, I want my tree to be up for at least three months, so effort will not be put to waste in such short a time.

Safe Online Shopping

Posted by girlie on October 6, 2008

I used to be so scared shopping online. I’ve heard a lot of stories about accounts getting hacked and all. I am very cautious when I go online shopping, not that it happened to me but hey who wants their accounts getting hacked. I’d really be upset if I see something that I haven’t purchased in my credit card statement of account. That would freak me out. But you know what? With buySAFE you’ll be able to do secure online shopping. You need not worry about those hackers trying to fool you. It’s online shopping risk-free. I know we all like that since it really can’t be avoided shopping online. I’d rather shop online than going to the mall especially if it’s on sale. I don’t want to join the frenzy, plus the long lines in the cashier. And there are nice items online that are not available in the malls. And yeah, we can get discounts too when we shop online. The thing that I like with the shopping advisor is the fact that they list all the merchants that are protecting our personal information. There are other online shops that claim of safe online shopping, but are they really true to their word? I wouldn’t take the risk, you know. It’s better to be safe than sorry. So if I were you, download and try the free buySAFE.

Floral Arrangement : 36th Weekend Snapshot

Posted by girlie on

Photobucket I worked last Saturday, we covered a debut celebration, and I don’t think I can share photos of it. Anyway, I’m sharing with you what I did last Thursday. I accompanied my MIL to have some flowers arranged. I long wanted to have this arrangment, so I took the opportunity and asked the guy to arranged it for me, with my instructions of course. He wasn’t able to follow what I really wanted, but that will do. It still looked pretty anyway. Next time I’ll just buy a bunch of roses, and arrange it myself. It’s just a jeepney ride away from where we stay…I mean the flower market (Dimasalang).
