Things for the Babies

I want you guys to check out these baby cribs. It can glide side to side which I believe can put your babies to sleep a little faster. I had the steady one and what I normally do is rock the baby to sleep in my arms before putting them on the crib. If there was one available at that time, I would have gotten it. It’s less work for me and the nanny especially if the babies are on the heavy side. I so envy the Moms of this generation, they have a lot more beautiful stuff than during my time. Take for example these highchairs. They are so colorful and nice to look at. During my time, it was quite boring since it was soooo plain. I can say that the production of high chairs nowadays is beautifully done. The backrest is adjustable already, and I love the idea of having a storage basket under it. Haha, these products wants me to bear kids again. I wish I could, but as it is I can’t have kids at this time anymore. Ah I can proudly say that I was able to buy one of these travel cots. It’s sturdy and of good quality. Would you believe I was able to pass it on to my brother? Yeah, his 3 kids were able to use it, and if one family member would need it, they can still use it. I prefer to buy good quality stuff, never mind if it’s a little bit pricey compared to the other brands. Come to think of it, it can be passed on and in the end if I was not able to save from buying it, the next ones who will use it don’t need to buy, it’s great savings after all. What do you think?

Sadyang mahal na mahal ko ang dalampasigan. Pede akong mabuhay dito kahit ilang ulit ko pang sabihin na ako ay “city girl”. Sa tuwing isa-suggest ng aking kabiyak na sa probinsya kami manirahan kapag kami’y matanda na, isa lang ang aking sinasagot, di ako mabubuhay sa probinsya. Hindi naman sa kahit anu pa man, pero ayaw ko malalayo sa aking mga anak pagdating ng panahon. Isa rin sa mga rason ay ang kasanayang mamuhay sa siudad, siempre hahanap-hanapin ko ang simoy sa Malls, pano na ang pag-inom ko ng kape sa Starbucks? Pano na ang madalas kong pagpunta sa 168 at Divisoria? Pano na ang aking belly dancing (haha, dancing granny daw o)? Ang daming paano na di ko kaya pa i-give-up sa ngayon. Ngayon lang naman ito, kaya pagbigyan nyo nako. Malay mo pagdating ng panahon sa Tagaytay kami manirahan ng aking kabiyak, malapit lang naman yun sa Alabang, pede na din.

But then if he chooses to live by the sea (err a house near the sea would do, but just a stone’s throw away) I wouldn’t have a problem with it. (Aba iba yata ang naging translation) The reason why I don’t like to live outside the city is because of the kids. I don’t want to be away from them. Plus the fact that I am so used to the city life. I would miss the malls, starbucks, 168, Divisoria and what about belly dancing? But who knows when we’re old and gray, we would live in Tagaytay. That will do since it’s near Alabang.

Haha, I was telling everyone over at my other BLOG that I was maintaining 4 blogs. I even included the PR for each. As soon as I hit publish, I went to check the PRs of my blog and I was surprised (an understatement) to find out that it this blog have been slapped a ZERO again and again. The.Personal.Shopper.Wannabe was slapped a 2. Goodness I still don’t get it no matter how hard I try. Do you have any idea how you can at least maintain your PR? Anyone willing to share? Do you think if I do search engine advertising it would help lure traffic to my website? If only I know the answer to this, no deserving websites, with traffic and all will have a PR 0.

Lotsa Coins: 29th Weekend Snapshots

Before we went to watch Dark Knight last Saturday, we gave some time to our big boy to play his favorite Tekken6 in Timezone. While waiting for him, I got quite bored so the kid in me decided to try my luck on these coins. I actually do not know what this game is called, but I had fun. Tapping was not really allowed, but I did my share of tapping for the coins to fall so I will be able to play again without buying more coins. Haha, the censor went out because of my tapping. It was a little bit strong since both my arms hurt from the tapping. The attendant warned me not to tap too much. With a smile I said, yeah I know, but you see we are all having a good time, please allow us to tap just a little more.

Dark Knight was cool…Heath’s acting was superb, he was every effective as the Joker.

I woke up today feeling good but with a heavily puffy eyes. I cried a river last night over something I really can’t understand. I was frustrated because I wasn’t able to do anything about it at first. It took me an hour to finally get the message absorbed. I can’t go into details as yet, but I am glad that things are a little ok over there. And what did I do with the puffy eyes? I took a washcloth, wet it with cold water from the fridge, placed it on my puffy eye, and voila it’s not as puffy anymore. I have to go now so I can do the other eye. It would be funny having “one eye jack”, eye makeup will not do the trick. Won’t be going online for the rest of the day, oh maybe later tonight though. I will be at school waiting for the kids until they get out. Need to bring them lunch and just wait for them. Gasoline prices have gone up so I can’t afford going back and forth. I’ll just have to do knitting to while away the time. Bloghopping and entrecard drops will have to be put on hold, well just for 12 hours. Everything will resume tonight.

Heavy Head

I woke up this morning feeling awful. I had a terrible headache. Yesterday my nape/neck hurt so bad. I am wondering now if I have hypertension. Or am I anemic? They say that both have the same symptoms, so that kept me thinking, is it anemia or hypertension. Dad’s side is hypertensive, Mom’s side is anemic, I hope I was in between. I think I am until yesterday and today. Boo, I worry too much. It’s probably lack of sleep that’s why I feel this way. But I have been sleeping really early, say 12 midnight, yeah that’s early to me since I normally sleep at 2 am the earliest. Ah I don’t know what to think anymore. I’ll just have myself checked by the doctor, then probably have blood chemistry. Ok, time to hit the sack. It’s 12:52 am. See you all in the morning! Good Night!

Apple bottom jeans, boots with a par fur (personal joke between my daughter and me) not! Those jeans are not for apple bottoms, but for bulging tummy, lol. Really, I read somewhere that people with bulging tummy should wear jeans with a diagonal front pocket. Why? I don’t know really, maybe to distract people from seeing the unwanted bulges? Probably those diagonal pockets weigh down the fats in the tummy area? I think it’s true, I own those two pairs, and whenever I wear them seems like I have a flat tummy. Oh well, I should be buying more of that diagonal front pocket thingy.

Have you heard about Rocawear? When I first saw their collection, I was like this are the clothes I want to wear. It’s chic and classy, and the colors, my oh my, it’s lovely. I was browsing the women’s collection and I found a lot of items that I really liked. I wish I had lots of money to spend on shopping. A perfect Shoe for a Perfect Dress

I found the perfect cocktail dress that will go with this pair of strappy sandals I bought 3 weeks ago. Isn’t it pretty? Would you believe that pair was sold at 70 percent off? Lucky me! It’s made in Italy which I bought at Linea Italia. I really love that shop since they always go on sale. You can always find durable yet very affordable pairs of shoes there. I still haven’t worn that pair yet since I am not going anywhere, lol. We have a coverage on the 8th of August, I’ll probably wear it, but not with the perfect dress since I haven’t been to my couturier yet.

Benefits of Support Stockings

When I used to work in a bank, I made it a point to always use support stockings. I was told by my sister to use one since I was up on the feet the whole time. I actually saw the difference between wearing an ordinary one and a support stockings. I feel less pain in the muscles whenever I wear a support stockings. Little did I know that wearing support stockings help prevent pulmonary embolism. Pulmonary embolism is a blood clot that forms in a vein (deep vein in the leg) which travels in our bloodstream to our lungs. Treadmill and DVD

I decided to be really serious when it comes to my workout. I’ve been really lazy lately, well except for my twice a week belly dancing class which I look forward to. But I feel that it’s still lacking. I need to exercise (cardio) more. The treadmill is just sitting in the corner of the house unused. Yesterday I walked for about 30 minutes at a speed of 2.7. I couldn’t go any faster since I was watching a belly dancing DVD. Not a good combination coz I wanted to dance with Nina and Veena, lol. Tell me can you do belly dancing while on the treadmill? Anyways, after my 30-minute walk, I followed the instructional vid of Nina and Veena which concentrated on the hips, buns and thighs. Again for another 30 minutes. So total workout yesterday was an hour. Today I’m sitting it out in the computer blogging. Can’t do cardio everyday you know, well that’s what my trainer said before.

I was treated to a Thai Massage (my 2nd) yesterday by the hubs. Do you wanna know why? Because I gave him a pedicure. I normally do his toenails and sometimes a bonus manicure too. He likes how I do it compared to the ones in the salon. Probably because he can lie down and sleep while I do the pedi. When he woke up, he checked on it and blurted his usual “no red and shine?” I hate it too when people who do my nails put merthiolate after, I don’t actually see the point there.
