I was visiting the house of a friend one time and I was drawn to one special corner admiring a beautiful floral arrangement. The flowers looked fresh, something like it was just cut from the garden. When I admire flowers and touch and smell them. And what do you know, when I held it, I got the biggest surprise of my life. It was not fresh but silk flowers. Golly it looked so real, whether from a far of just a foot away. You need to touch it to be able to tell that it’s not fresh after all. The technology has now perfected the art of making silk flowers that looks like fresh flower indeed. Really you cannot tell.

Kelangang kelagan na ang mga computers sa pag-aaral ngayon, nung panahon ko, typewritter lang, haha. Sa panahon ngayon, parang kelagan na ng internet sa pag-aaral, yan kasi ang bukam-bibig ng aking dalaginding, “Mom, I need to use the internet. I have assignment.” Eto naman ang lagi kong paalala sa kanya, NO Y!M ok? Haha, strikto daw ako. Kung kayo naman ay nagtatanong kung anong ginagawa ng napakakapal na html book na iyan, binili ko yan nung ako’y magstart mag blog nung 2004. Di ko kasi talaga matiis na di pakialaman ang design na gawa ng ibang tao. Kaya para maintindihan ko, ayan binili ko.
**Why is it that nowadays computers and internet is a must when one studies? (haha parang binago ko ah) During my time typewritter is all I need. But now that I am sending my own kids to school, seems like they need the internet everytime. My daughter would come to me asking permission if she can use the internet coz she has homework. Of course I allow her, but am constantly reminding her of the NO Y!M policy. How about the html book? I bought that when I first started blogging in 2004. I wasn’t contented with the pre-made designs I got from the internet. So to be able to do a little tweaking, I decided to buy that book.
Eto naman ang kelangan kong pag-aralan. Dahil kay KC, ako ay nahilig na din sa photography, isama na din natin ang kaibigan kong si Thess. Dahil sa encouragement nya tuwing kami ay nagcha-chat, naengganyo ako. Ironic ano, nag-a-assist ako sa asawa ko sa pagkuha ng mga litrato ng kasal, tapos eto ako wala man lang kahilig hilig.
**Now these are the books I need to study. Because of the friends KC and Thess, I was encouraged to play with my camera. Ironic that I assist the hubs with wedding photography, and yet I am not really interested in it. Thank goodness for friends who keep encouraging me to love Photography.

It’s only now that I am appreciating the hard work of the hubs especially when it comes to the lighting of this house. I actually found him kind over acting when we were at the planning stage of this house. He would mention to me his plans on how he’s gonna fix the lighting. I was like, gosh soo extravagant. But now that everything is done, I am happy that I let him take care of that aspect. Lighting plays a big role on the ambiance of the house.

These are the kind of bathroom faucets we have at home. What so funny is that when someone uses the bathroom, they would often call for the household help and ask them how the faucets work. If you are not used to these kinds of faucet, you really wouldn’t know how to turn it on. I didn’t grow up with this kind of faucets, the bathroom faucets we used to have were more simple, like you just turn the knob. What I like about the bathroom faucets now is the style. I have a couple of friends who are in the interesting stage. Actually when I first heard of it, I was shocked, not because I didn’t want them to get pregnant. I am happy for them. It’s just that I wasn’t really expecting it. It’s like among all my friends, they were the least expected to get pregnant. Oh well, since it’s there already, why don’t I just help them shop for the baby. I am a Personal.Shopper.Wannabe, right? Ok let’s get started. For mobility, we all need a Baby Pram, or some Baby Pushchairs, or simply a stroller. Haha, why am I remembering a page in “Shopaholic and Baby”? Oh because they used the word pram a lot. Now I’m beginning to imagine, are these the kind of Baby Prams the author had in mind? If you have checked the page, you would think and say, ah probably. Do you want to know why I think so? Because the prams and the pushchairs are all trendy. Check out the colors. Now I am green with envy. When I had my baby, my pram did not look something like what I just saw. Oh probably because I gave birth in 1993, haha, that was too long ago. The prams used to be simple, but honestly I love it in bold colors. Again this is one thing I didn’t have, Baby Travel Cots. Mine was made of solid wood, oh wait I think we had that but it was just permanently placed in the house. We were not fond of going places that’s why. But I’d still recommend the product. You can bring it anywhere actually because it easily folds compactly and you can just put it in its own carrying bag. Cool accessories for babies, huh. I know there are still more to discover. For now I will just have to bookmark it, and when my friends need my help, then I have something to share.

Oh my gosh, am I barbaric or what? This is my first time to hear about HD Radio. And just what exactly is is HD Radio? It enables AM and FM Radio stations to broadcast their programs digitally. AM radio would sound more like an FM radio, FM radio would now have a CD quality sound. Now how does that sound to you? All you need to have is a Polk Audio I-sonic ES2 which allows you to do iPod Tagging. When you hear a nice tune over at your hd radio, all you need to do is press on the tag button and the song’s info will be saved. There’s actually more you can do with HD radio. There are new country music stations available and don’t forget to tune in to Florida High Definition Radio stations. This is the newest way to listen to music. There are a lot more new channels you can play, something that you want to listen to.

I swear I look good in it, but the picture does not do justice. Bwaaahhh, how much more am I gonna convince you. Anyways, that is what I bought from the moolah Cuz Marie gave me for my birthday. She said she does not know what I want, so it’s safer to give moolah. Sweet! I bought the shades from Top Shop, one of my favorite shops whenever I have lotsa moolah. I just like the shape, something that I normally see from the moviestars, haha. With my biggie bag and a biggie shades, can I pass up? Dream on Girl!

Oh! So you’ve decided to get your own domain. Good! As I’ve mentioned a lot of times in this blog, there are a lot of advantages when you have your own domain. Ok, so what’s next? Ah, you should be very careful when it comes to web hosting. It plays a big role you know. You gotta pick the best web host. I’ll share with your the Best Web Hosts for 2008. From there you can pick whichever web host suits your requirements. Don’t follow me, I made a mistake when I picked my first web host. I had to shift to a better web host after 2 months. I was not satisfied with their services. Never mind if I spent some money on the first web host I picked, I just had to change them. See I learned my lesson the hard way.

This is partly the reason why I am having backpains right now. I was uberly excited using the lensbaby and wanting to perfect each and every shot. If you are familiar with the lensbaby, it’s not like the ordinary lens where you don’t do anything but point it to your subject. Well you still point the lensbaby to your subject but you do a little adjustment like bending and tilting for whatever effect you want on the subject. It’s very hard to hit the sweet spot I tell you. It not only breaks my backbones but blurs my eyes as well. Maybe it would take a while before I use that lens again.

I know I already sound like a broken record for telling you time and again how wonderful it is to have your own website. I will never stop convincing you to get someone to do the hosting for you. I tell you it’s really worth it. I have done the comparison since I had my blog hosted for free before, then I decided to shift to a self hosted blog. I am referring to my “dotcom”. Since then I have been happy. A lot of opportunities came my way. Let’s just say that I got more chances in monetizing my blog. Let’s face it, advertisers go for self hosted websites. Opportunities do not stop coming, sometimes you feel like you don’t have enough of the 24 hours anymore and wishing there’s more than 24 hours in a day.
Oh if your problem is how to go about it, don’t worry because they are willing to assist you in the setup of the web site without any extra cost. Setup is free. I’ve been in contact with the tech support group the first two weeks I have been with my new web host. They are really very accommodating answering every question to the best of their ability. They even went out of their way to accommodate me and I really appreciate it. My advice for you is to choose the best web host, you don’t need to necessarily go for the lowest package you first come across when looking for a new web host. You have to study each and every package and pick what is really suited to your budget and to your needs.

Oopsie, looks like I’m gonna get sick. I feel feverish, my throat hurts when I swallow, I’m coughing, I want to go to bed early! Oh dear I can’t afford to get sick, there are a lot of things I need to take care of. Who’s gonna cook our food? The hubs and the kids love it when I’m the one cooking. But how can I? My body feels weak and heavy, I don’t want to move, all I want to do is lie down and sleep. I think I’m gonna have influenza. I knew it! I could have bathe under the rain, and not just get wet a little. As they say it’s better if you totally get soaked then just take a bath when you get home of something. Ok enough of the drama rama, I need to finish up something first before I hit the sack. If you don’t see me online tomorrow, then that means that I really got sick.

Duh, you don’t have the right to complain. He just said for you to drink milk everyday, non-fat that is. He didn’t tell you to have anything else on the side. You promised him to hit the treadmill everyday even for a good 15 minutes, but did you do it? Yeah I am talking to myself, haha. I can’t complain about having a bulging/bloated tummy, it’s my fault. I can’t help munching and having midnight snack almost everyday. Bad me! I have to do something about it now, otherwise someone will come up to me and ask when am I giving birth. Duh like at my age I still can, LOL. Boo me really, no self discipline. If I don’t stop then I’ll look like the 108 lbs. I used to be way back in the mid 90s, nah I don’t want that to happen. I don’t want to look like a bean bag.

I finally got the chance to post celebrate my birthday with The Chairman last Friday. I was asking her if she wanted to go to Trinoma, since she has not been there yet. Too bad she didn’t have a driver that day, so it was more convenient for her to go to Greenhills area instead. I treated her at Dulcinea, and whenever we go to Dulcinea, we only order one thing, and that is their Seafood Paella. We were supposed to have our picture taken at a studio that day, but I don’t know what happened why it didn’t materialize. Ah, for one we were already running late for our belly dancing class, and secondly she didn’t get a good curl, haha, how vain really is this cousin of mine. Anyway the studio is just there, anytime we can have our pictures taken…maybe on her birthday.

Despite the heavy downpour due to typhoon Frank, we attended the 18th Birthday Celebration of the daughter of our family friend. How time flies…it seems like only yesterday when my kids go to their house to play. Now she’s turned into a very beautiful and smart young lady. Now that my daughter Ish has witnessed a debut celebration, I asked her if she wants to have it too when she turns 18. For now her answer is a big NO, she says it’s too formal and all. She wants to travel instead, or she wants a new car instead of a grand celebration. Well lets see…anyway it’s still 3 years away…a lot can happen in 3 years, she might change her mind though.

Two weeks ago, when we visited some of the houses that are being rented, our tenants showed us termite damage in some parts of the house. We were disappointed seeing it. The tenants could have done something about it, but then again that is the problem with them since they don’t own the house. What we expected from them though is to tell us right away if they see something unusual so we can immediately act on it. Now our problem is how to go about it since in some houses the damage is really huge. I’ve been telling the hubs to hire a professional for extermination of these termite colonies. When all this is done already, I might talk to these tenants and educate them on how to inspect for termites.

My Daughter Ish loves purple…she goes for anything purple. So I thought why not make a purple themed blog? But I wonder though if it will help in the search engine ranking, I heard that well constructed codes help a lot. I wish I could tell, but as it is, I only get the codes for my template online. She has not seen it yet, but I’m pretty sure that once she sees it she’d come to me and say “Hey Mom I love the colors in your new blog.”
Whenever I’m in the mall, when I see something purple, it’s like I have to go and check if I can buy it for my daughter. I think we Moms are like that, something like “ah my daughter would love to have this”. We Moms can be so selfless sometimes, thinking of what our lovedones like first before anything else. When I travel abroad, I usually get things for them first, I make sure that when I go home I see happy faces.

I love to drink wine, red wine at that. Well I’m just starting so I really don’t know much about wine. I just recently talked with a friend and she suggested that in order for me to get educated with wine I should be a member of wine of the month clubs.
