Beef Asparagus
Posted by girlie on August 7, 2007
I’ve been meaning to cook Asparagus wrapped in Beef for a long time now. This is one of our favorites everytime me and Cuz Marie eat at Teriyaki Boy. Yes i’m a copycat when it comes to food, coz my kids are sick and tired don’t like to eat the usual food that my “angels” prepare. So what I normally do when I eat out, I scrutinize the food, check and taste the ingredients used. Or I try to remember what the food is called, then surf the net on how to do it. Again this is my first attempt to do it. Once again, they say it’s yummy ^_^
Ingredients:
asparagus soy sauce
beef sirloin (sukiyaki cut) garlic
balsamic vinegar sugar
salt and pepper unsalted butter
Procedure:
Marinate beef and place in the ref for an hour.
Wrap the asparagus with paper thin (sukiyaki cut) beef.
Place in a bowl and steam for about 6 minutes.
Melt unsalted butter in pan, saute garlic.
Put some of the marinade, then pan fry the beef with asparagus.
Note: I don’t normally measure my ingredients…trust your tongue ^_^

That looks great.
Is it good for you? I always considered beef to be kind of a no-no.
Hello Amy! I plan my meals to include beef, pork, chicken, fish,
seafoods and veggies in a week. I guess it’s a balance, i know what you
mean, but I can’t do anything, kids are hard to feed, they love meat

that looks delicious.
is the beef fried until crispy or just cooked?
i bet with some sort of dipping sauce it is even better.
Hi Ches! Not really crisp, just pan fry it with the marinade to
add more flavor to the beef. Yeah the others serve it with a dipping
sauce

Sarap naman!! Gaano kanipis yung beef?? I dont think I can find “sukiyaki cut” dito. Naku, kapag niluto ko yan, maglalaway si Alexis!!
Rhads it should be paper thin coz you need to wrap it around the asparagus.
I think shabu-shabu cut may do too. Basta tell the meat shop to cut it paper thin, and use
sirloion para malambot

Wow, those look like some finger food served by some 5-star hotel. I think that involves a lot of work eh? Shall try it one day.
Shireen could be a lot of work, the wrapping, steaming and you need to pan fry,
but it’s all worth it really
