External Hard Disk

hardisk.JPGI have learned my lesson well.   Since my laptop crashed, N thought of giving me his old fujitsu hard disk which he hasn’t been using.  It’s quite bulky in its own casing, so he thought of putting it in another case, a generic 250 php ibm case.  I need this badly even though I have 80 gig installed in my laptop.  I don’t like losing all my photos and files anymore.  Yes, that’s what happened when my laptop crashed.  But i’m not that sad though, coz I was able to upload some pix at Flickr and RockYou - thank you!

When Ish found out that her Dad gave it to me, this is what she told her Dad.  “Mom does not need it, she has 80 gig in her laptop.  I need it more coz I have 5 gig left in my Mac.”  Yeah right!  This daughter of mine is fond of “owning” my things, I don’t mind sharing though ^_^  Don’t worry Ish, Dad has some more hard disk he’s not using, he can convert it to your own external hard disk ok?  Don’t get mine, wait for yours…teehee!

    LOL Girlie. My little girl is the same and she’s only 8! She already ask if she can have my white Mary Jane shoes! Imagine. LOL.

    Ks maybe you can buy her mary janes too, pero yung walang heels, more like school shoes…lol

    i had a same ext hard disk like yours. but then i changed the casing to a more stylo lookin one. hard disk is a lifesaver! lol.

    Leena, what color did you choose? we only have two colors here, silver and black

    Hello Neo! yeah I have thought of that, but then it takes 100 years to burn =)
    my dvd burner is not that powerful, maybe if I was using a mac, then i’d burn all the time.
    as it is im contented with the external hard disk

    It’s really important to have back-up devices. We have a RAID 5 back-up system in the house and an external drive. I guess I just assume everyone has one. But it’s a good thing that you didn’t loose a whole lot of stuff.

    Hi Tina! Actually N has been bugging me to do back up, but at the back of my mind why should I since this laptop is only 3 months old,
    who would have thought it’s gonna crash this early. I know I did not learn my lesson, my old laptop crashed too and i lost a lot, hehe.
    It took sometime before I heard from my webhost, so I went ahead and did something, good thing it worked out well ^_^

    ..nice external HD,you can put lot more stuffs in there.. hehe kaloka daughter mo inggit kay mommy for sure you’ll back her in no time kasi she might pester you with that..

    Her Dad will give her one too, when I don’ t know, hehe

    I told my hub to get an ext harddisk for me cos the current one is insufficient to backup the boy’s photo… LOL :)

    It’s really important. Affordable na din sya now di ba? but im sure mas
